We also hv job under nhm(national health mission) under deic(district early intervention centre).it's a central govt project...one dentist per district headquarters. Job role is early intervention of dental diseases , diagnosis, treatment n referral to higher central's. The salary is good ..more than 50 k..with 5%hike each year n experience bonus on completion of 3 n 5years.every year they make a fresh renewal n d max age limit to continue is 65. As per my knowledge o 2to 3districts are vacant in our state.,Phulbani,kandhamal are some of them. I think there will be advertisement coming soon n interviews will be conducted.. Mode of selection ..interview n career marking
In my state mp deic salary is only 30k without any hike there is no scope in nhm job ....better to open our own clinic or Crack state psc for govt job atleast they provide decent salary ...

We r more than 3-4k unemployed dentists here(including govt and private pass out). We know the current scenario of west bengal recruitment services.

@Buddhadeb Bhattacharya it's your personal perspective, in bds there is no crisis of earning, only crisis in bds is we have a wrong idea of success like you're successful if you have govt job after bds. That's the main dilemma, If you opt BDS, and do study well during your foundation years.. I will guide you how to take shape of future and all perspectives of practice. Just be prepared that either you choose MBBS or bds only u.g. degree is not enough you have to pursue p.g. so make plan whatever you get make best out of it. And if you need any help you're always welcome

My only reaction to this question is hahaha.. except people who have reservation of scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe, it is really difficult for anyone to get into government job without any Jack or money... you will find a lot of people saying that they have cleared so and so examination and interviews and then got the government job all I can say is they are telling you a lie...
