If you’re a stroke survivor doing what he’s doing is awesome it takes patience and perseverance from everyone! Remember to always be kind we don’t know each other’s story but we can always be kind!
I am recently disabled, so stairs are a no no for me, l just wish l could have greeted him at the top. I wouldn't care how long it took him, ( an hour or maybe alot less), I would still be immensely proud of his achievement.
Me too.... after 4 total left hip replacements, a lower spine surgery, stairs are a no no! Now with COVID, I don’t leave home. My right hip is giving me the blues:(. Then, last April, I fell and broke my left hip! Take care, and be safe.....
Don't stop man. Only you can hold yourself back... You already done the hard part... I'm sure you have already prooven a lot of people wrong.... Good work...
Thank you, a new arthritis flair has taken more mobility including stairs. Your single step is wonderful and shows me not to give up whatever the challenge. Thank you it's not enough
Hi Beverly: from a fellow arthritis sufferer.... I remember 3 or 4 yrs old crying saying to my mom that my ankles hurt. Most of the adults in the family thought I just wanted attention so as the yrs went by I just shut up about my ankles and eventually my legs/hip pain. The dr still came to your home back then and he always give the same answer: ‘she has growing pains they will stop when she’s full grown.’ Finally in my early thirty’s, I found out I was born with arthritis along with hip dysplasia.. Finally in 1987 when I was 41, I couldn’t bare the pain any longer, so the first of 4 total hip replacement surgeries and one lower spine surgery. The second surgery was to redo the first surgery because the surgeon had no idea I have Ankylosing Spondylitis..... when I found out the cause of my pain and suffering was arthritis, I was elated! Not because of the arthritis, but because I’d finally found out why I’d been hurting for as far back as I could remember... Sadly all of my family except my Godmother, had gone by then. She was the only relative other than cousins my kids had. Take care, stay safe and I sincerely hope you suffering too bad with your arthritis....
@@verlenavelinasutton1568 Thank you, SLE/arthritis are my challenge. Drawing inspiration from a single step to a young woman enduring severe pain and finally being heard are all inspiration. Please take care, stay safe
Oh my. I’m so happy and proud of you even if I don’t know you. INSPIRATION for me. I’m not wheelchair bound, but when we have to walk a long distance my husband has to push me in my wheelchair.... at home I use my walker or cane. Take care, and keep going!.!
The problem with the ‘stair climber’ is, it takes away from our incentive to ‘just get up and do it.’ He looks much younger than I am.... after 5 orthopedic surgeries on my left hip, I know for a fact we have to keep moving. Pneumonia will set in quickly if you just keep sitting. That’s a huge problem for many wheel bound ppl. Especially ppl paralyzed from their neck down. When I had the first of 5 ortho surgeries, there was no video like today. I was totally in the dark. I remember vividly waking up late that evening, hungry. You can’t eat b4 surgery, so I was ready for food... so the nurse sat me up, very slowly, then she helped me stand on my good right leg, just for a minute or two. She asked me to take deep breaths.... felt a little dizzy, so she helped me ease back down. I had no idea what a hip replacement surgery was..but I quickly found out... I asked her why was it so important for me to try and stand for even just a few minutes and that’s when I was told about pneumonia. I was the youngest on that ortho surgical floor at 41 yrs. That was 33 years ago! That’s also when I found out about the Ankylosing Spondylitis! Now my right hip is under attack from this arthritis type!!!
@@verlenavelinasutton1568 To you aswell Verlena I wish you all the best in live and hopefully over the years everything got easier. Thanks for sharing your excpirience and im sad to hear that you felt alone in those times. So even tho its a long long time ago I want to tell you that therse always someone wich loves you and you are never alone.👍🏻 Sorry for the bad english.
Cotchavelli: hmm ... you lack empathy, &, don’t seem to even have a grip on “dark humour,” which (in this case) is totally inappropriate. Clearly the answer to your question is: “It takes such focus & determination to climb to the top of these stairs that his efforts are heroic/brave and yes, damn right the video IS INSPIRING. (for us & the gentleman) 🕊🕊🕊 You should feel so blessed. I do.
God bless this man...we take some much for granted....great job my friend keep going your an encouragement to us all 👏👏👏👏🤗
Thank you, I will
