- This web map was created as a project for the GEOM-405: WebGIS course and is intended to be used as an interactive tool for exploring and viewing Nepal's geographical data. Several layers are added to the map using the Leaflet JavaScript package to give the user a rich experience. These layers comprise administrative boundaries at the district, provincial, and local levels as well as markers that indicate the locations of students and educational facilities, such as schools, libraries, and universities, within a 5-kilometer radius of a certain site. For ease of use and comprehension, province names are also shown directly on the map. The map has an OpenStreetMap-powered foundation layer that is continuously visible to give a trustworthy and comprehensive geographic backdrop. The map also incorporates three APIs for improved functionality: the Routing API, which shows walking routes between two points with distance information; the Weather API, which retrieves real-time weather data for any chosen location; and the Air Pollution API, which shows air quality details. This project is both instructive and useful because it provides a smooth interface for interacting with and analyzing spatial data.
