WOW . BEST dust collection I have ever seen.. without a doubt Makita wins circular saw dust collection. I dont even own any Makita tools but DAMN those work.
It's quickly becoming a favourite. I cut an engineered stone bence the othe day with it and it was brilliant. Been cutting with it today too. So nice having less dust, especially on a blade left saw.
They just need to add a sealed spring and make the front guard a two piece, then you can choose the blade depth without sacrificing coverage. So long as it indexes left of the cutline any scratches will be on the waste side, and if they give is a bristle like base any stuck particles should pass through into the suction area instead of dragging along. They could also add a y-splitter piece/design to allow the majority of dust collection from the front compartment and a smaller intake from the secondary section to grab left over dust. That would let you put the vacuum port of the back for better hose management. There isn't a good reason to not give it a fairly large vacuum port. If they're worried about wind speed with smaller vacuums they can provide restricting bushings or 'adaptors'. With the 80v vacuum and those additional changes you could make it virtually dustless.
I've had my eyes on a 125 ever since I saw Scott Brown using it. I really want the model with the split base and negative mitre capability .. hard to find. I've spent way too much on Makita gear this November - good thing its December next week.
Easy to find if you know where to look. They make an LXT version too. SB bought it after watching my review ua-cam.com/video/scXeVFHOUUQ/v-deo.html Links in the description on how to get one.
125 mm is so odd size in hand held saws, its used as front blade in pro table saws. 136 mm Makita blades are sold in Finland, 230 Makita saw blades, some 125 mm are found from CMT, they have 519 saw blades and Bosch has 381, but no 125 mm. From one web shop, that has circular saw blades starting from 23 mm and ending in 700 mm.
I have the old dustless corded Makita circ saw that is almost exclusively used for cement board siding. It works great when hooked up to a vac with almost no dust. I'm curious how these new cordless ones would work on messy fiber cement siding boards.

Am i the only one that noticed your ai makita saw song😂
No... I got a good chuckle off of the anime-theme-song-style ai Makita song.
WOW . BEST dust collection I have ever seen.. without a doubt Makita wins circular saw dust collection. I dont even own any Makita tools but DAMN those work.
Love how you taped up the base to retain that mirror finish 😅
Couldn't bring myself to let it get scratched straight away.
They need to incorporate this onto their mitre saws .. could be a game changer… 👍🏼
They do sell a plastic box that goes on the dust port. Not sure how well it works.
I use the Makita backpack vacuum when I cut with my track saw and more. Less hose problems.
actually works better than I expected, nice :) I would really be interested in a 165mm left blade version of this one

Yeah, great concept, that's why we like makita :)

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL awesome, fanks!
Had me excited thinking it was Saturday tomorrow for a moment 😢
Sorry. But on the positive side, it means it's Friday tomorrow, which means another Tools & Stuff video, right!
When you were holding the saw up at 1:10 and said you needed a shave. I was just thinking. Well you got the saw out already. Go on then!
16:26 7000RPM on 125mm blade is 45.8m/s. 5250RPM on 165mm blade is 45.3m/s. So pretty much the same thing
7500RPM. I accidently said 7000 once.
01:26 Quality Makita Saw Song :)
Another great video..... any word on the framing nailer?
Yes...
FYI: your fav tool shop Tradie Republic can supply 125mm saw blades now.
I'm going to have to check them out.

I used it the other day on an engineered stone bench top with the vac attached and it worked a dream.
When is it coming to usa
Probably never.
Thursday bonus, or trying a diff timeslot?

Да, не основание, а зеркало, прям отполированное зеркальцо
Keep it up
To my knowledge, a mirror finish is akin to friction. So why did they apply it to a surface designed to slide?
Turn down the reverb.
Seems you missed something.
