I am so glad I watched your video before tearing apart the packaging on the screen door. I have an out swing door, so it's going back to Costco. Thank you!
I've watched several video's on this install. I appreciated yours the most and here's why. The screws that connect the sides are self explanatory. The top and bottom, however, could become tripping hazards. In your video, it's much clearer on what the issue could be.
thanks for the video. a few tips for the others. to switch left and right door knobs, just flip up and down the door, i know, silly tip i was so confused lol. the top and bottom rails need to be bent a little to fit, they do not slide in smoothly.
In the description of the package and during installation kit it says it would fit 8 feet door frame. I was wondering how I would be able to achieve it. Needless to say there are huge gaps above and below. Will be returning this to costco
Thsnk you! It was helpful. BTW, the uniform building code requires external doors to swing in. That is why the design makes some sense to me. I just don't like it having the track on the bottom which one has to remember to step over or which one is likely to trip over. Your video helped. B.
Thanks for the video have a question regarding door height. The packaging of this says it fits doors 6 ft and 8 in. Our door frame has a maximum height of 6 ft and 6 and 1/2 in. Is there any way this would work?
Thanks for your demonstration it was very helpful. We have an out swing door as well. Were you able to find another retractable screen that worked for you?
@@giobikefans Has anyone sued the city after they were burglarized? Hinges on the outside of an exterior door make the door easy to burglarize, but at the same time, maybe actually harder for firefighters to legitimately force their way into the burning structure...
Your video is not correct. It can be installed inside. All you have to do is to remove the trims around the doors , install the screen door and the replace the trims which all will be need to be re-dimensioned. A table saw and mitre saw will be needed. The result looks very good. I wish I could upload a picture. It took me about 2 hours to complete
Understood Rene. All you have to do is alot of work. I have no intention of pulling apart my oak trim and I think most others will not either.... but your point is well taken and appreciated

The other videos I've seen show a different brand...Brisa.

That makes sense William.
Thanks for a great and honest review.
I have the same problem, ousting door. What did you do instead?

The manufacturer does have a video on how to shorten the side rollers to fit a shorter door: ua-cam.com/video/sykN_gERKEs/v-deo.html
Excellent video, it helps me more than the instructions. Thank you!!
You really should have did a close-up of the corners that you were putting together on the floor
I am glad I watched this video before ordering the door. It will not work with my patio door that swings outside. Thank you.

Phantom Screens can be used on any door type.
I have 80 inches or 6' 8'' door height from sill but the screen door is 81 inches and nothing on the manual how to adjust the height.

Thanks for the informative video. Fortunately our door opens inward.
Very helpful! Thank you!
Who mounts a screen door inside?
This was helpful
Someone installed that exterior door on wrong. The hinges should be on the inside. Then you can install the screen door correctly.
Different fire codes in different cities... Booooo! Thanks for the comment all the same James.
Different codes. In our city all exterior doors swing outward, has something to do with fire safety (being able to push door out instead of pull in).

Try Genius . . . I know from experience that Casper Screens are lousy.
