My mother, who had had many miscarriages and was told that she would never have children … went to Indian River shrine in 1959 and prayed the marble stairs on her knees asking on each step to have a child. I was born in 1960.
It became a family tradition to start every vacation with a trip to Indian river Shrine.
Jesus Christ healed me of alcoholism as I sat on a barstool in Harper woods Michigan 2000! I’m so grateful. An amazing unbelievable miracle.❤
He healed me of drinking too! Six years clean off the streets no desire it's around me everyday Jesus gave me a new life a purpose and meaning.❤

What a lovely tribute to Jesus on Easter, thank you, Scott!
When I was a very little girl I asked my Mother what was the difference between the Crucifix & the empty Cross. Her answer to me was, the Crucifix Jesus is handing dead on that Cross. The empty Cross represents just that an empty Cross. Christ died, was buried, then He arose from the grave just as he said.
The thief that asked for remembrance in His Kingdom, because he believes, he was with Jesus that day in Paradise.
Just what I was taught & still believe to this day.

There is a cross about 35 miles south of where I live. It is in Effingham, Illinois
I love the Prescious moments church and the first place was beautiful as well.

You missed The Christ of the Ozarks.... a statue of Jesus, that stands 65.5 feet high (approx. 7 stories) on a Mountain in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is also the home of the Great Passion Play, with a "life size" Holy Land tour... there is also a piece of the Berlin wall, and a Bible museum with the worlds largest collections of Bibles. Scott, you should really check it out sometime.... this was my "backyard" along with Branson, as I grew up in Arkansas.

Have you been to Christ of the Ozarks Cross in Eureka Springs, Missouri. I think you would really enjoy that area, it’s very touristy. There is a nice animal preserve nearby that is worth visiting, they do great work rescuing big cats of all kinds.

I went to the Cross in the Woods with my family on our way to Mackinac Island 1985. I vividly remember that place from the chapel and the place with all the votive candles. Mom and Dad are no longer with us and seeing that footage evoked some memories. Wesolych Alleuja

Scott, have you ever been to St. Augustine, Florida? There’s a shrine and church there and they have beautiful grounds including a 208 foot tall cross.
An interesting Christian site close to me, is a park in Murphy, North Carolina that has the 10 Commandments written out in stones on the side of the mountain, a replica of Calvary, and a replica of the tomb of Jesus.
