This is awesome, I made 2 as appliqué patches for a Mermaid dress for a doll. If you carry a long piece of yarn from the color yarn and let it come out of the work around the first group of double crochet going back up, I used between 3rd and 4th of the 6 double crochet. You can then pick the yarn up and make a back fin along the spine. I did hdc, dc, dc, hdc and it looks great.
I've jst followed your video, made my very first seahorse. I'm so so chuffed with it!!! I crocheted it in a sparkly white yarn & a hot pink. It a little deformed, but for my first one, I'm really chuffed with it. Thanks for your efforts on the video. Love your videos!!!!
Hi! Great instructions! You have a soothing soft voice and beautiful hands! I did, however, add a little crocheted flip flap on his back. I chained 3, then did about 3 double crochets, then 3 doubles in one space to make the back fin flare out a bit. It is cute that way!
You did an excellent job teaching this. I was intimated at first but you showed everything so clearly and explained in detail. My seahorse is beautiful thanks to you. ❤
Dear Laura, I am sure I am not the only fan of your work, that would listen to your calming voice and great tutorials, through a cyclone. You are great. Thank you so much for your time to share your work with us. It is so appreciated 💓 Sherie Rodrigues from Australia. 😍
I’ve enjoyed making this little seahorse. So fun. Thanks for your patterns and instruction. For someone who can’t decipher written patterns , I so appreciate your videos!! Thank you 💜
Had so much fun doing the seahorse. Thx u for being such a great instructor. I made mine..body is yellow, around the seahorse is a bright purple. Turned out cute. Thx
You're a wonderful instructor! I've been crocheting for just over a month now and I was able to complete the seahorse! It turned out great, thanks for the video!!
Yeah! I made your adorable seahorse!! I'm so excited - after a few weeks of youtube tutorials and learning to crochet totally via youtube tutorials - watching your heart video and magic circle video just finally brought it together for me! I think your videos are awesome and can't wait to keep crocheting! Thank you SO MUCH for showing me how easy a dang slip knot is! I have struggled with that simple little knot so much! So thank you from North Carolina in the USA! My grandma is smiling down from heaven! I can't knit, can't sew though I try - but LOVE CROCHETING!!
I've been looking for ever for the perfect seahorse to crochet for my 3 year old granddaughter. This one is perfect! You explained very well. Love the accent. Looking for a sand dollar pattern now. Thanks soo much. Keep it up. Ingrid
Thank you so much for this - perfect for what I required for my Summer holiday wreath.. Even added a little back fin (fanned out) on the back spine easily.. Very much appreciated.. 💕
I watched your Sea horse video & did it simultaneously. It looks so cute. Thanks for taking the trouble in getting it so perfect. I enjoyed the tutorial.
thanks a lot, made one. Very nice explanation as well. Would have helped me though if I knew at some places how many stitches I should (still) have. To know that I'm doing it right. But a lot of thanks from the Netherlands!
I just did this one today! Fantastic tutorial! So clear. I am a beginner and it was great that you took it slow. Thanks so much. Please keep making these videos:)
So very cute!! I was born the year of the horse(MANY years ago) and this is just adorable. To bad this isn't the year of the water horse, it would have been even better. It's the year of the wood horse. lol
Viva, Thank you very much for your slowly manner, patience and kinds, you're super teacher,I saw you for first time although, I'm Arabian from the Middle east..I love you so much..
I loved it! My sea horse is amazing and I am generally bad at this ahah thank you so much for posting this videos for us specially beginners. Help us getting motivated! I would only suggest after each step, to count how many stitches do you have together with us. That help us making sure that the work is getting well done. Anyway you are amazing. I would love to have classes with you eheh Keep your good work !
I did one today for a random act of crochet kindness and it looks so cute, the one I did however, when I turned it, my second color ended up being on the wrong side. I don' t know what I did wrong as I turned it as if I was turning a page in a book.I just added a gooley eye until I can figure out what I did wrong.
Thank you very much for sharing this pattern tutorial 💜 😊 😀! I'm making a sun hat ,bucket hat for a friend's baby 👶 and this will go swimming lyrics with my Beach motifs! I did make my own version of a Sandcastle, just 3sqares with slip stitch edges . I'll try to send a photo ok. Do you know of any PATTERNS FOR A SANDCASTLE APPLIQUE?
Thank you so much for your tutorial! You are a great teacher. I am going to sew my seahorse on to my tea towel I crocheted and hang it in my kitchen. I was wondering if you have a tutorial for a sea shell motif?
Thanks for creating this video. Cutest crochet seahorse on the internet! I'm a beginner and credit you for using such tiny yarn and hook. Mine was huge. Lol. I thought I did backwards as my yarn ends were all on front but see it is designed that way. Look forward to more.
Wonderful tutorial...did one following the video and it was quick and easy. I want to make a pair of barefoot sandals and was wondering...is there a way to make two facing each other, like a mirror image?
