@@d-man385he claimed he called out truls not throwing the ball upwards and giving truls a service warning before the ball went out, which means he has to re serve but still stupid
@@floras7826 I agree with the umpire tho ... he did call it before the ball even had passed the net. The real reason why people are upset by umpires trying to do their job is that the rules for serving are unclear and its really troublesome for the sport right now.
@@ciarantaylor367 you have a point there, but a let from the ball touching the net also comes later than a let from a wrong toss of the ball ... so an umpire having to wait to see if the ball touching the opponents side of the table before calling a toss let is kinda impractical
Liam Pitchford did incredible, and that call should've been for him (but I don't know the rules of table tennis so it might've gone to the other side), but Truls is just a beast on the table and is so fun to watch.
The let call didn't interfere with the serve. Truls hit the ball before the call. Therefore the point should be awarded to Liam. If that's not according to the rules, the rules should be changed.
that umpire call was criminal, it was pitchfords point!
could see how dumbfounded both players looked at that call

@@z0uLess but when an umpire calls let as the ball hits the net, but the ball then doesn’t contact the table, it doesn’t stay a let!

Truls with the Gyökeres celebration
Good effort from pitchford, nothing to be ashamed of
Truls-chop @7:25 amazing!!!

How awesome Truls! He won game 1 &!3 from the the position he was far behind…..
14:50 Wow I never knew it worked like that
It makes sense. He called let "as it happened" (before the ball landed out).
A called let and a missed serve at the same time is some crazy coincidence, I've never seen that before
Yeeee should 100% been Liam's point xD Felt like Truls should have just missed the next on purpose to be like "Nahh was his point"
@@druidzown True. But in the end its a failed serve and must be a point for Pitchford... This decision is just wrong.
The call was made while the ball was still in the table vertical area or volume if you prefer, therefore it was a correct call.
Muls Trolligard strikes again!
Even if the umpire gave the point to Liam, it would still be a 3-0 defeat. But Liam didn’t look significantly affected by the judgement of the umpire.
He's got the Leyton Hewitt duck thing going on in his celebration. Good for him
I think he emulates Gyokeres' celebration
You can call it that if you want but its the Vicht gesture founded by the Swedish tennisplayer Niklas Kroon.
@@devildriver9615Did you watch until the end:)?
