Thanks! You guys have to play "Transcendence" from Santana's Moonflower album.Similiar to Europa except you have the vocals of Greg Walker's smooth voice :
Zebop! is one of my favourite Santana albums. There's so much light and shade on it. Carlos' playing on it is impeccable! É Papa Ré; Changes; American Gypsy; and I love you Much too Much just to name a few. Put the album on and repeat...
@@eclaire1 I saw the on July 11 1981 at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island. I still got my ticket stub! Tickets was $11.50. Today it don’t get you a beer at a concert!
This is the first time hearing the track "Brightest Star" for me. The vocals by Alex Ligertwood are simply amazing to say the least. I have to go now.... it's DOWNLOAD TIME....... Take care....
I heard this song live when Santana played the Old Waldorf Theatre back in May or June, 1981 in SanFrancisco. It was a fantabulous concert. I was fortunate to live in the heart of the best music produced on the west coast.
Great album, great song . Kind of zeppelinesque, especiallly the vocal. Alex ligertwood is a great singer. " Winning" was the hit of the album, back in the 80s
Hello fellas. One of my favourite santana tracks . Still gives me goose bumps after all these years! Tha singer is all Alex ligterwood a Scottish singer who's vocal has quite a high range. As a guitar player this track is something that you learn how to play immediately after hearing ( and did ) very cool album zebop. Lots of excellent music . I think you would enjoy his third album ( santana 3 ) . I started going to see him live in the 80s on the shango tour and have seen every time he has played over here . Santana has more emotion in one note than most have in a career. All my best to you and yours from Liverpool
You picked a GREAT one...I've loved all of their stuff, but the vocals were by Alex Ligertwood. He was really good in that time frame on a few albums of Santana's.
I had this album when it first came out and I just couldn’t get enough of how the amazing sound of this album just touches my soul! Thank you guys for bringing back those great memories! 🎧🎸🥁
Alex Ligertwood, a Scottish singer, guitarist, drummer. He was with Santana for a long time 79 to 94. A few other songs to check out that he sang on are "All I Ever Wanted", "You Know That I Love You", "Winning" and "Hold On"
Hello La & Che, I'm so glad you enjoyed this song, if one of my favorites too. I thought I'd suggest another one of their songs with Alex Ligertwood singing, if interested. "Santana - Winning" (by the channel: Santana) --This song was originally written and recorded by Russ Ballard and was subsequently covered by Santana for their 1981 album called "Zebop" the lead singer is also Alex Ligertwood. The song reached #2 on the Mainstream Rock Chart and number #17 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was great jamming out with you both. Take care..peace out~
I've been trying to get reviewers to do this song all year! 70s and 80s Carlos is MY guitarist. Nobody could reach into your chest and grab your soul like he could in his prime. That whole album is good. Alex Ligertwood did the vocal. He was with Santana for a good while. He also did vocals for keyboardist Brian Auger. You might want to check out Brian's great version(s) of Wes Montgomery's song Bumpin' On Sunset.
La/Che great reaction to one of the 🐐 Santana was my very first concert that I saw when I was a wee lad. His musicians in his band are top notch he is a master of the Ax. Keep up the great work love what you guys do. Like I have said many many times you two are the best in the business.
I used to own this on cassette tape, and listened to it on my Walkman on full blast, so many times, that it wore out after a while! There is not a bad song on this album!
Love the T-shirt I grew up in San Diego and San Diego sports arena where I saw my very first concerts as a kid And got to see all kinds of basketball With the San Diego Rockets whom my parents worked for Until they bailed for Houston
I am not a religious person at all. Having said that I do believe art does somehow have a connection with the divine. Two musical artists do this for me, this connection to the divine, that move my soul: Bob Marley and more so Santana
…the sustain in THIS song was from a guitar made in Japan for Chuck Santana…inside the body of the guitar is a wafer of metal, which aids in holding that sustain
Don't know if you guys ever reacted to "SMOOTH" ? A mega hit by Carlos Santana featuring Rob Thomas released back in the '90s! There is an accompanying video that was released at the time, not to be confused with alternate "live" versions of the same performance. You guys will love this like all the Santana fans do, because it really MOVES!! From the State of Minnesota U.S.A!
@@esdel1955 I did look thru their "updated today" playlist for Santana, it's not listed and the playlist says "one missing video". I would hope they might redo it again?
Marathon and Zebop are MUST listens and reviews guys👍👍 The songs "I'm winning" & "All I Ever Wanted" are 💯 locks for you channel but honestly, those are just starters, great tracks all over the place. The album "Inner Secrets" and the song "Open Invitation" just smokes❗️
There's nobody like Carlos Santana! Personally I like the more rocking Santana. Inner Secrets was one of my favorite albums growing up. My favorite track from that album was "Open Invitation". Y'all should check that one out if you're in the mood for some 70's rock!
Finally some santana otger than soul sacrifice black magic woman and their otger older stuff, dont get me wrong i like their earlier stuff too but reactors only react to their first two albums ,and santana is more than that with about 50 great albums

For all who love Santana’s playing on this song… listen to his album Blues For Salvador… you won’t regret it
I saw the Ligertwood version of Santana in 1982... They were killer live.
Alex Ligertwood on vocals. ON FIRE!!!

Very bluesy. With a little soul rock.
