What’s crazy to me is he was literally doing Shakespeare right around the same time and doing it WELL. It’s insane to me that the same guy who turned in a really good performance as Tybalt is the same guy who wrote, produced, and starred in The Pest. It’s frustrating because he HAS talent.

I loved this film for just being stupid funny. I would suggest checking out Simon Sez if you want another classically bad but good movie that shouldn’t be as memorable as it is. Sometimes you just gotta have stupid funny. If you couldn’t , the Wayne’s would have nothing.
Maybe im weird, but as a teen I really i liked this movie. I saw it as them bringing a Saturday morning cartoon character to life, and with the title, he was intentionally annoying. If you converted every scene of this movie to animation, it really would be exactly in line with that and no different than a lot of animated characters. Is it award worthy material? Nope. Is it weird and fun? Yes! If I had to choose watching this or the billionth generic action movie with explosions and thin story, id choose The Pest. Sometimes it’s fun to have something different, and this movie is definitely different. It has issues, but it’s a lot like Ace Ventura in a way, you either let yourself laugh at the crazy and forget the dumb, or you’ll just hate the experience. But to each their own.

The Pest is one of those movies that used to play on The Movie Channel back in late 90's. I admit I love it as kid back then.
