This season is becoming a disaster for Scott McLaughlin. So much for predicting he would win the title this year. Man was I wrong! Just to inconsistent.
@@lorddrac_dontaskmetodance I do realise that but something is off with Scott this year. It's not the car so personally I think he is putting to much pressure on himself. In V8 supercars he was like a metronome.
GREAT to see IndyCar back on a real road course! A pit lane that's equal for all competitors. Smooth pavement! Curves / turns that aren't all 90 degrees! Room to pass! This is as it should be. (Can we PLEASE dump Detroit and Nashville from next year's schedule?) Replace them with multiple weeks at Road America!
The race tomorrow is going to be insane! I’m at the track this weekend and there have already been so many crashes in the road to Indy races. But granted those drivers try to go 3 wide into turn 5 and in general don’t leave each other much space. But I come here every year and it’s never been this bad even in the road to Indy
Let's go Pato 🔥 lately Mexican motorsports is giving me depression😢, a pole would've been better but still let's go for that victory tomorrow...please 💚💚🤍🤍🤍❤️❤️ 💚💚🤍🟤🤍❤️❤️ 💚💚🤍🤍🤍❤️❤️
It seems Indycar races on more American European -style tracks, than f1 races on European European style tracks.. I'm happy to give Americans the credit, f1 should try racing on European American road course style tracks. :)
Yeah many call Road America the Spa of North America, it was built in the mid 50's and its still the same layout as it was the day it opened. Unfortunately F1 has ignored the track for almost 70 years, and it is the greatest road course in North America in my opinion.
@@chrish931 I really like Watkins Glen too, and would love to see IndyCar racing there again. Unfortunately fatal accidents damaged Watkins Glen's fame in the F1 world. Cota is an ok track, but Miami and Las Vegas are bad choices, there were much better options for other F1 races in America.
So drivers can dive into pit road after they complete the flying lap, as opposed to circulating around driving slowly and/or losing time, giving them more time to change tires if needed to go back out.
Dixon moved over for Grosjean but didn’t realize Power was right behind Grosjean and very quickly moved over right into the side of Power. Power tried to fight Dixon after that but the safety team broke it up
Dixon crashed or nearly crashed someone in every session this weekend. He's still fast, but I'm wondering if he's losing peripheral vision in his advancing years.
New to indy car, former F1 fan here. Question, why are the cars so twitchy in the corners? you can see the drivers making multiple wheel inputs but some how the cars still spits them off the tracks. Its unlike F1. BTW indy car is much more fun.
The new repave at Road America is the main issue this weekend. As soon as you go off the racing line the grip drops. These cars are a little more twitchy than F1 cars because they don't have near the downforce of an F1 car and they don't have power steering.
Road America had a massive repave last year, and I'm wondering if the tire compounds brought by Firestone are not ideal for the new surface. Welcome to IndyCar!
I had high hopes for him, but I'm not sure Grosjean is ever going to win. And someone needs to tell him that "crash or win" means trying to win, not trying to crash.
Why not show live sector times so the viewer has some clue how close the driver actually is on the current lap instead of listening to the announcer just randomly list times with no context…
Man, correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm not into Indy but I've been watching F1 for 10 years and these guys seem like they lack some of that top-notch skills that F1 guys have and make the most basic of mistakes
Road America just got resurfaced for this year and it seems to be catching drivers out. Also IndyCars are a different beast to F1 cars. Despite being 400-600 hp less then an F1 car, they have much less aerodynamic downforce and no power steering. And lastly, as a primarily F1 fan, I would agree many of them likely wouldn’t be cut out for F1, however F1 drivers make a lot of basic mistakes as well. Yuki binning it out of the pits at last years Canadian GP, George’s panache for turning into other drivers, Lance Stroll, Charles binning it multiple times the last two years, Norris just ran into the back of Lewis at the Spanish GP and lost his front wing on the first lap, Checo. Those are just a few examples.
ROFL what a stupid comment. You can be sure that if any top F1 driver would come to Indy they would get rekt. They’re different series and you can’t just bash on the IndyCar drivers, especially as F1 is not about top driver skill anyways, it’s about who has the sponsors and/or daddies buying them F1 seats and/or teams left and right. Stop being so snobby just because you say you’re watching F1 for 10 years. I’ve been watching it for over 20 and I can definitely say IndyCar is much more exciting currently than cringefest F1
@true6454...Indycars have 600 LESS HP than an F1 car? You wanna rethink those figures? Current specs rate those IndyCar V6s at over 700 HP. Are you trying to tell us that the modern F1 grids are full of 1300 HP vehicles? Try again....
Yes, ruined. You repave a track when it’s literally falling apart. It wasn’t. Worn out is exactly what you want for good racing. But maybe y’all like nascar crash style racing.
Really? Take a closer look at all the street courses. A professional adjust accordingly. Especially with all the enhanced chassis, brakes and tires today. No excuse. Been on R/A many a times. Definitely one of the best in the country.
