Lucas actually heals more than Ness and the Miis. The single big heals cap at 30 for all of the magnet characters, but for all the heals that don't cap at 30, Lucas heals the most percentage. It's the tradeoff Lucas has for not having 100% body coverage by his magnet, and/or it might be related to his powers in Mother 3.
@@hyperiondragon he also can b-reverse it, which opens up a lot of movement (like at 2:43) - it also has a (albeit hard to hit) killing hitbox. another last niche thing is that it has a windbox that scales with percent, the only one in the game I think.
just watched that first game... this Regalo guy is lowkey insane, very clean movement / option selections edit: bro was literally cooking apollokage with those c4 explosion reads, but apollo has been playing crazy as well. saw his snake vs Zomba and he was movin nice, as he is here. looking out for both of these guys in major tournaments from now on
Some characters just allow ness and Lucas to heal a lot. Snake's projectiles, Icy's frost, anyone with a charge shot. Plus Lucas heals more than Ness so he just gets that extra bit of value.
Lucas went from zero to hero because of Regalo’s run at this major. Me being an O.G. Lucas main always knew Lucas’s movement and game style was hype but everybody always cringed when they heard I play Lucas, but now it seems that people want more Lucas! So thx Regalo for putting some respect to Lucas mains out there!
At 5:33 he did a slingshot fair, and I'm so happy to see a Lucas use it at huge tourney like this effectively. Even only once, its the start of something I don't think we would have seen prior ever.
@@陳嘉宇-y4q Best Lucas in North Carolina, ranked 3rd in Norcal. Hes been getting Top 64 in several majors last few months in Momocon Pound etc. He got his breakout performance here. He did get Top 8 at a major a couple of weeks before SSC too
2 great things I love in the same game: 1. A great Lucas players who makes excellent use of his tools, and 2. A Snake player getting shut down. Playing around his grenades can be super annoying, and it's honestly more fun to watch without grenades every second.

@@Tactix_seI think the tough part is just that snake can't go with his usual gameplan. He still has the tools to deal with Lucas, just has to play more scrappy and choose his moments carefully to use explosives. It's not easy to adjust to that when you're used to being able to throw all your projectiles without risk, but it's doable.

Lucas' PK lighting actually pushes away instead of towards the stage unlike ness yet he REFUSES to both use it in neutral nor as an Edgeguarding tool. Pk thunder is a great ledge guard tool, but Regalo don't use it for some reason.
It feels really cheap to use. I’m a Lucas main and I rarely use it for edge guarding. I prefer to edge guard with style
