I no longer do International Commissions..I do send gifts, but NO orders. I just had an International envelope returned from APRIL !

I hear you! I ended up saving your Advent calendar for this year because of how it went to Australia and back to the States and back again last year … I nervously order from the U.S. On this side of the Pacific, it seems a little easier … and I dared to order from another small biz in LA last month and it got here in record time, so .. 🤷♀️
International shipping is super frustrating on all sides 😤 so you're right to pause it.
As a buyer, this summer I've had several parcels delayed for weeks, and I've been waiting for my Jackson's order for 2 months. The latter has a tracking code, and the status says it's been sitting in a sorting center in my country since August 15!
Jackson's offered to send another parcel, but that one might disappear too.
Seems like postal workers everywhere are quitting because of poor pay and working conditions, and there's no one left to deliver our packages. (I know it's the case for Croatia, but I didn't know other countries had these issues too.)
wow - that's crazy to hear that even your order with Jackson's was an issue! I think you're right about lack of staff and working conditions...makes sense (and is of course a huge bummer).

Yes...I ship international (from the UK) and I've had to claim money back from Royal Mail after refunding customers 3 times this year since May, probably nowhere as much as you've had to but a pain all the same, so now I only ship tracked as that is the only way to be able to claim money back if its over £20... so I'm not shipping standard anymore :( and tracking is SO expensive.

My shop is also having international shipping problems as well as U.S. and yes, it’s this year. It started in 2022 and has been getting worse. I’ve had envelopes returned that have been opened and the stuff is gone! I also have Etsy and so have no other option. And I will say that my customers were so patient before but now I’ve been getting a few really mean messages. And worse, the customers will write really bad reviews when I’ve done my best. They think I’m the one running the mail system….lol!! ImIt breaks my heart because I’m just a mom trying to run a small business.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one dealing with this issue recently! and you're so right about the reviews - I didn't even bring that up. I too worry about that popping up, especially when so much of this is out of my control! as a fellow Mom and Etsy business...I get it!

I’m in the UK and I have had international packages go missing this year, completely understand your decision. I am just so lucky that my bestie lives in Texas so I order from you to her address, then her hubby brings it over to England on business trips! 🖤
so Etsy has a purchase protection, that if a buy doesn't receive an item Etsy will refund the customer at no cost to the seller if the order is under 250$ and items were shipped with tracking.
shipping internationally is a headache, i really feel it ❤
