Tim Legler is the only analyst that I watch apart from the Inside the NBA guys.
Same here…
I love Tim. It’s funny, I noticed he does his analysis and the other guys say the same things he says throughout the day lol. Sometimes almost verbatim. Stephen A. Smith and Richard Jefferson specifically I heard yesterday say exactly what he had said earlier in the morning.

If youre UP 3, you FOUL. You make it a free throw game. What you DON'T DO is let them get a shot off. I don't care how difficult the shot is, this is the NBA and making hard shots comes with the job. Just FOUL!!!!
Yup. Poor decisions at the end
Same thing happened in their series against the bucks with Middleton
this is a bad coaching decision on crucial seconds after did not take the foul shot.what happened to the whole coaching staff not doing the job.very heartbreaking lost🤬
The odd thing is the announcers were saying this verbatim prior to Brown taking that shot. Complete choke job.
@barithekid What I find odd is that Carlisle has been coaching for two decades and not fouling when up 3 remains his philosophy.
They had this game won 4 different times
It’s appalling how they let it slip . They coulda fouled, called time out when they had the last possession with few secs left. Tough!
Had should could lol stop it already u saw what happened when Boston started to clamp down defensively down those clutch moments yall folded like a cheap tent let me remind u when one of your player couldn't catch a inbound pass ahahhahahahahahahah gets stripped it's those plays down the stretch that u say dammm their defense came on admit it dude
The inexperience shows , besides pascal , every one else never been here
yup young team will be young. i’ve seen them lose 3 or 4 games this season in that exact fashion. hopefully this being on the biggest stage yet they learn
“Pacers gave that game away”. Whats Ironic is I remember knicks fans saying the same thing when the pacers beat them in game 3
Oh how the tables have turned lol
@@josephbolin4939 well, well well, how the turntables...
@@RD-zx6py 😂
Didn’t Nembhar make a 30 foot three. How did the Knicks give the game away?
@liferealgood Still not as bad as messing up an inbound pass with 8 seconds to give the game to Boston.
Jrue Holiday was supposed to be defensive all-star but carries like MVP lol
The free throw disparity in regulation was ridiculous. Pacers only got 3 free throws and the Celtics received 23. Just like the Lakers NBA handing these big markets W’s.
Indy should have won the game regardless. Indy has in the season been the worst team at getting free throws even against the Knicks they were that bad
The Pacers also shot from the perimeter more as opposed to the Celtics who kept going inside the paint and drawing calls.
@@shermandudley5548 .......except that Boston shot 45 3-pointers during the game opposed to Pacers 35. Turner and Siakam were living in the lane and yet Boston gets a 3 to 1 free throw advantage for the game. Indy is likely going to lose this series (especially if Porzingis returns) as likely they should, but lets not pretend that the refs (perhaps at the behest of the NBA itself) are not putting their hands on the balance scale to favor a side that is in the best interest of NBA ratings/attendance. The NBA can handle one small market making the finals, as this is now unavoidable from the West. The NBA and the nation do not want to watch a Minnesota/Indiana Finals.
LA >>>>> Boston in terms of market size. Smh 🤦♂️.
@@thabomahlangu8041 Kind of hard to, when the refs were clearly favoring the Celtics, especially down the stretch. They GAVE Boston the ball to tie the game and didn't even review who it went off of. On replay, you can see Brown hitting it out and pushing Siakam in the back. That should have been a foul, Indy gets the ball, games over.
Haliburton and his clutch turnovers were just amazing
He is just one of COUNTLESS examples of overrated NBA players. As SOON as real defense is played they look like the scrubs they are. He is an NBA point guard with the handle of an eighth grader when he is harassed with REAL defense. These dudes spend all season stacking empty statistics in games that look like layup lines and shooting drills..so they ‘look good’…but when real defense arrives…they look like scrubs. Haliburton looked like an amateur for real.
Leggs, just say it. The game announcers said it, The fix is in…. All of them was in on it. NBA wants game 7’s.
@viddeo7095 If that was the case wouldn't the underdog have won. This series has sweep now written all over it
Playoff jitters. Most of the pacers have never been this far in playoff. Most of them are first timer
@@marcelmarshall4240this is Halliburton’s first post season I’d say he’s doing pretty good, and this series he’s got Jrue and Derrick white guarding him two of the best defenders in the NBA, I agree he’s a little overrated but how this series ends is gonna change that
The ending reminds me of JR Smith in nba finals game 1
Big Win for Boston!
I understand, but more so big loss for the Pacers😂😂😂
All Carlisle had to do was foul. Just foul.
Carlisle isn’t a player………………………………………..
Hear me out. Jaylen Brown made an INCREDIBLE shot and if Siakam fouls Brown probably gets the shot off and goes to the line, even if he’s not a great FT shooter. Plus the Celtics did an incredible job off the inbound and in the past the Celtics have found ways to clutch up in those scenarios.
it would be a technical bro. He ain't playing
Siakam did foul brown could have been and one on that 3's.
Foul? He doesn’t play. The better play before that was to call a TO to advance the ball
Threw the game like some brainless bums
Who cares
Major choke by Indy
Who cares.
@@jjth2baller225 you
Pacers had one in the bag. Simply inbound the ball. Crushing loss, will be hard to overcome going forward need four wins and that should have been one of them
For sure..Celtics will be better in game 2 ..didn’t play well, sloppy and poor defense / turnovers . Credit to Indy though for playing tough and hitting shots. Not looking good for Indy now. As I said Boston will be better in game 2 .
@@jonhathaway2537 Indy just needs to play clean. Boston was hyped, they didn’t wanna lose an opener AT HOME! Pacers lost more than Boston won. Pacer mistakes kept this series from being over for Boston in game one. Indy is young and this is new territory for them. If they figure this thing out fast, it could still mean a trip to the finals!
Celtics have played deep into the playoffs for several years now, they are far more experienced. I can absolutely see the Pacers playing a few close games with the Celtics but I actually think they’ll get swept…this is the type of game that erodes confidence in young teams with little experience and high expectations
Not this group.
@@Peacekeepa317 The Pacers haven't lost a home game since March. They'll win all of their games at home. They need to steal one in Boston.

@@jasonking971 if they won tonight they’d have real momentum going into game 2, let’s remember that Porzingis will probably be back game 3, they’re not beating them with him back even at 80% he opens up so much space for those guys and is a very solid defender
Terrible Pacers coaching as well. No set inbounds plays in final minute(s)? Ridiculous.

I know a series is never over after game 1 but I genuinely don’t know how the pacers recover from this
im a pacers fan and i think you're right: i believe brown fouled siakim but you still have to foul brown and make him go to the line. man this one hurts because this was the game to steal and we had all the momentum carried over from new york.
If they lose game 2 the series is over, Boston plays better away and idk how they come back from this massive choke job.

Reminds me of the ending to game 2 of the '84 Finals. Boston forced a late turnover, tied the game, forced OT and won in in OT.
This one on Carlisle , you had the win. All you gotta do is take a timeout and design a play. Pacers1-0.
Seriously. No play set up, no screens to free up players, 2 players on the other end. Terrible coaching, just call the effing Timeout
@@insearchofYAHThis was Hailburton’s fault dribbling it off his knee and then dribbling it out of bounds because he has no real handle…when Jrue d’s him up. He is overrated like most of these so-called ‘stars’ of this era. He had THREE turnovers in the waning minutes. That’s why they lost. It was not Carlisle.
@@marcelmarshall4240 you’re right on the turn overs but they inbound the ball game goes to free throws.
This was the game 2 effort from Indy, it just happened in game 1. They shoulda won.....but now I see the Cs blowing em out in gm 2
I agree, this was series ending in my opinion.
The key to unlocking this rosters NEEDS and potencials in the celtics is to have their front court back without Porzingis they end up falling apart into individual play the way they’re assembled requires a strong big man presence at all times and Horford does not play big anymore so against teams with a strong front court with adequate three point shooting we end up in very very close games unnecessarily to casuals it looks like the Celtics completely suck and everyone’s truly neck and neck with us but the record speaks differently and the key is to watch how well they flow when they get their Biggs back in the paint
Pacers gave that game away. Not sure if it was bad coaching or just low IQ plays but you should be able to inbound the ball. The Pacers seemed to be running away from the ball. Pacers also didn't utilize Miles Turner in the 2nd half?
You people are amazingly dense. Didn't you see brown push siakim in the back yet they did not call it. We should have had the ball and the game would have been the pacers.

@@meberatubelay4487 lol there are 4 guys that can receive the inbound... I don't blame Siakam but I do blame the other pacers.
Carlisle as well for not calling timeout and getting more movement on a set play to secure in bounds. They practice these situations all year and then they fumbled the bag.
Also on the Brown three, allowing that pass to a 3 point shooter is a mental mistake, you stay on man and shadow him on 3, make them get it inside the line and have to pass out.
The fix is in. NBA scripted
Let’s go my Celtics 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥.
Indy blew this game. They should’ve won this game, they should’ve fouled JB but it was too late. Fouling makes him try to beat you on the FT line. And it stops the game, stops Boston’s momentum and takes time off the clock.
I turned the game off thinking pacers won y’all up 3 with the ball how y’all blow 2 free throws who shot the freesthrows? Or what happend
They turned the ball over twice up 3 and never got the free throws. They only needed 1 free throw
There were no free throws. Brownpished siakiminthe back the crooked nba said he wasn't fouled yet you can clearly see browns forearm in siakims back.

It's going to be an uphill battle for the PAcers since the Deltics have been in the Conference Finals in the last 3 seasons.
If you’re the underdog you gotta win a game when it’s right in your lap. With all the TO and the FT disparity and you still had the win in your lap, and you blow it.
Indy should be up by one but tough shot by Jaylon brown. It was clutch
Poor execution.
Celtics shows their championship character with the clutch performance to win this game
I like this iteration of the Celtics team as much as any in my lifetime, but man, whenever I watch them I get so frustrated that they're not winning better.
The Pacers inexperience (turnovers during crucial moments, sudden indecisiveness) coupled with big-time plays from JB and Tatum - handed the Celtics the game. Not putting a bigger guy on Tatum in the extra period was costly, resulting in a pair of 3s from Tatum. If the Pacers can keep their turnovers to a minimum (below 10) next game and consistently keep their frenetic work rate the whole game, we have a series on our hands. This will not be a cake-walk for the Celtics like everyone
If Indy loses game 2 series over that was there chance and you can’t give up a game against a top seed. It will be hard to come back
Amazing how Celtics win while Pacers lock up their centers. Al and Kornet stat makes me cried 😂
Tatum tried his best to blow it , because it’s that time of the year, but Haliburton refused not to choke
Its weird no one has even mentioned Joe Masula coaching
Celtics barely won Game 1 is mindblowing, but Pacers not fouling with a 3 point lead is hilarious
i think Pacers are a better team than given credit for, this is a good close win for Celtocs against a team who have good team depth

Celtics got up by 12 few times and settled for 3s instead of taking the easy stuff or driving it could have easily taken a 20 lead but no 20 extra 3s for 0 points let indy back in
What a game. Celtics were clutch at the end
Indiana lost composure which is typical for any younger teams.
Celtics on the other hand, raised so many questions with this ugly win at home. They've been playing for many seasons now.
what questions were raised? they didn’t blow a big lead the Boston teams of years past don’t win this game

Indy has the better coach so don't count them out yet
That better coach admitted he was stupid for not calling timeout up 3. 😂
Boston, up to this point, had been sleepwalking throughout the Playoffs, and even before when they clinched the #1 seed.
It may be games like this that are a needle shot to the arm, and gives Boston momentum and to play with urgency, because they were very close to losing it.
And they seized the opportunity, didn’t they?
Sleepwalking? They literally cruised through the 1st & 2nd rounds. Their matchups may have been easier than other teams, but that has more to do with them earning that by winning an NBA best 60+ games in the regular season.
That they did, indeed! And before y’all turn on me, just know I’m a die hard Celtics fan, and up until this point, we have not played a competitive series due to the other teams not being at full strength. Now that we have that, and we almost lost as a result of that, that may be the adrenaline shot we need to play with urgency and force. We have to make Indiana regret giving us that one game; we didn’t deserve to win, but we took it.
Not worried 😅 lol called pacers in 6 they beat themselves tonight, while not playing their best basketball fr

The Pacers really choke this game. Boston win this series in 5 or 6 games. Boston got a lot help from the refs giving them 30 free throws. Tatum who’s supposed to be the guy got bailed out by his teammates
Celtics forced the refs to call a lot of fouls by being aggressive and driving into the paint. That's how they got more free throws. Any team that's aggressive like this will have an edge.
