I'm from noida and we sure it will be become like tokyo in upcoming 15 to 20 years. In noida biggest airport jewar airport is constructed, biggest film city is going to construct soon in greater noida, formula 1 race is there, greater noida have potential to become educational hub, noida is declared as economic zone
I am from Noida too. There is no doubt that the infrastructure in Noida is good but the discipline is not there. There are 8 lane roads but people driving wrong way. Its as if we have good hardware but the software has bugs in it.

NOIDA is an acronym. The full form is NEW OKHLA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
It was the brain child of Late Sanjay Gandhi , son of PM Indira Gandhi. Conceived in the late Seventies during the Emergency period, to increase the employment opportunities in Delhi. This place was planned as industrial center, across Okhla , a locality along the Yamuna, in Delhi..
Late Mr Khattar, former MD Maruti Suzuki, has written about the land acquisition etc of this place in his autobiography. At that time, he was perhaps, Deputy Secretary, or Industries Commissioner in UP. He worked with Late Jagmohan Ji, IAS, Dy Chairman DDA in this project. Jagmohan ji later became Union Minister in both UPA as well as NDA governments.
Later, NOIDA developed as a big residential adjunct to Delhi and attracted big ticket IT sector establishments. During Mayawati Ji's Cheif Ministership of UP, it's name was changed. Now it is called Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Good to hear congress did some good work. specifically Sanjay Gandhi. I can only remember Jabardasti nasbandi. And Indira Ji for Emergency act. Unlike Pak, congress promoted Maruti, locally made cars, we are reaping the benefits. Congress could have done more developments in sixty years and avoided corruption, we will be now very strong economically. slow growth due to corruption and lack of vision. Modi and Yogi seem to be more dedicated and less corrupt. Compared to pak any govt (upa/nda) in India will be better.

Me passed hue hai aur rafale jiski shor macha hua hai vo bhi congress time ke deal hai, aaj log jitne bhi govt. Hospitals aur govt. Universities colleges me jaate hai vo sab congress ke time hi bani hai... 1965 tak to pakistan ki economy india se bhot jyada thi kyuki unhe paka pakaya mil gya tha but india dheere dheere develop kr rha tha jo 1990s tak jaake almost complete hua jaha keh sakte hai india apne pairo pe khada hua aur pakistan ke tukde karne vali bhi indian govt. Congress hi thi... Koi bhi desh ekdam se develop nhi hota technology time ke sath develop hoti hai jaise pehle wired vale telephones hua krte the fir pager aaye fir mobile phones aaye jo 25-50k tak ke milte the vo bhi normal keypad vale but ab jaise jaise technology improve hui hai ab har kisi ke hath me mobile phones hai jisme pura ek pc jaisa work kr sakte ho vo bhi just 5-6k me normally mil jata hai brand ke according..
