- Looking for something to do near Saigon? Here is an ultimate Mekong Delta Day Tour that you can take in 1 day with pickup in Ho Chi Minh City. Explore local towns by boat, bike, and golf carts! Eat traditional Vietnamese food, float down the Mekong Delta in a traditional wooden boat, and enjoy all the scenery on this day tour. End your day tour checking our a smiling buddha, which was by far our favorite buddha we've seen on our travels!
While it is a very touristy trip, we totally enjoyed our day tour from Saigon and would HIGHLY recommend doing this. It is a long day, so settle in and enjoy, but just 2 short hours from Saigon, it makes it totally worth it!

This tour was absolutely incredible and would recommend this to anyone who visits HCMC. But the instagram vs. reality aspect to this video was truly one of the highlights of the day!

how long was the trip. Is there a trip I can start in the morning and come back to Saigon by 04:00 as I have flight at 08:00?
I would say the whole thing was about 8-9 hours. It was a long day. If I remember correctly, we got back into Ho Chi Minh City around 5-530pm. You maybe could ask the tour companies if they can get you back by that time! That is a long day tour before a flight, but if you are up for it, I think it is totally doable!
