south portland municipal golf couse in Maine was a rich guys back yard course and he decided to donate it to the city.. its amazing. please play it some day
I'd say the Links at Bodega Harbour is a hidden gem for Pebble Beach like play with a Unique final hole stretch. Also about 20 mins away at Northwood Golf Club is an Alister MacKenzie course you can play for $20
You should come over to Amarillo, Tx and play one of the courses here. Ross Rogers, Tascosa, Comanche Trail, or they have a Par 3 course. If you go south about 20 minutes to Canyon, Tx they have a course called Palo Duro Creek golf course.
Nice round, looks like you had a lot of fun and isn’t that what golf should be! I’ve played both courses and have to say I’ll take poor man’s pebble anytime over pebble beach. Never felt more unwelcomed at a course than I did at pebble beach and just the opposite at pacific grove. Will never play pebble again.
Bro, head about 150 miles south to Soule Park golf in Ojai, CA. It is $39 to walk, $50 to ride and you will not play a better course for that price anywhere in the state of California. Play on a Wednesday and you can thank me in person!!! 😆 It was used as a Senior US Open qualifying course!
Josh...absolutely LOVE your channel! One thing I've noticed that has helped my game immensely....keep you head STILL on your putts! Keep it still till the ball is at least 5 feet from where you hit it. ...Claude
I've played this course several times and always felt like I got my moneys worth and then some. The course conditions seemed to be better when I've been there, though. Definitely a cool overlooked course I always try and play when im down there. Nice round!
I used to play this course in the late 70s early 80s and it was fun but not in great shape. They also had a plant called Iceplant all over the ocean side of the course. I was virtually impossible to play out of that stuff. Most of it is gone now days.
Honestly you were playing some of your best golf in a while there. Rough shot on the last hole but if those greens were in better shape I feel you could have shot pretty low out there.
Fun video, thanks! It's nice to see your shot tracer and know the course well enough to say, "Oh, he's gonna be a bit long there." I think you played from OB on your second shot on 12. But I know that's not the point of your channel. Good stuff, Mr. Mayer.
You ever come to Minnesota. In northern Minnesota i invite you to play our course im the mechanic at. The Wilderness golf course at Fortune Bay Casino and Hotel

Fr I love that course
It’s a fun course and definitely worth playing once.
Such a chill spot
Loved the video as always Josh! Your putting on those aerated greens was awesome!
Appreciate you!

The greens are so much larger on the back 9 then the pitch and putt greens on the front. Was so much fun watching you play

@@BryanW. Lucky. I live about an hour away, but it’s worth the drive.
Had the shanks when I played this course :( . It is so cool though that it feels like 2 different courses.

Appreciate you! Can’t beat the views for the price
Pacific Grove has such an amazing golf course. Too funny seeing this video, as I was just there playing a couple rounds as well!
I’d be there every day
Play world tour at Myrtle beach. Great course and has replicas of all the popular major courses.
i'm excited our golf team gets to play here in a couple of weeks for leauge

Home town course, Love and hate seeing it online. Yall just keep going to Pebble!
I feel like you’re looking much more comfortable with the new putter. Reminiscent of the Mezz era
Hey man love your work, all the way from Aus
Appreciate you!
Let me make a cup of coffee. This is going to be good. Oh man that lawn mower on the last hole threw you off big time.
Had to be the lawnmower
Hope to see you play Sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes some day
Same
I think your swing is looking pretty good kid!! Can't expect putts to be to good being punched
Played this course many times, I think it’s great for the price
One hundo p
99.9k wtf. Thanks for all the content, Josh.
Aye sure thing my guy. Thanks for watching!

@@JoshMayerGolfnext time you’re near San Francisco check out the Fake Harding, newly refurbished Golden Gate Park par-3 9 hole course.
Tree was prolly smaller when they put that sign in lol
Merciless green sand
What camera do you use to folm
Rocking a Sony A74

That looked super fun!
Are we gonna talk about that putter? Somethings different 🤔
Trying some new flat sticks out 👀
I really like this course do not call it fake one of the favorite golf course in the world I love it it’s one of the OG golf courses ❤🎉
Mustache Josh hits different
Don’t know why, but I hate it when a golf course starts you out on a par 3
Why using a 5 iron, rather than a 3 or 3 or 5 hybrid, where you get that extra distance?
Was feeling that 5 iron
Great stuff as always Josh. But I think that was an OG trowel, not an OG spade. It's a very sensitive topic amongst gardeners.
Gotta be better. I take full responsibility for that one Kelly
Ima play there this summer
Do it
Where’s the LAB???
need to see Josh on some bigger channels, get this man some recognition, he’s a great golfer
Where is the lab putter bro?
Now Cliftondale country club in va
lol
I believe you mean "Poor Man's Pebble". Please keep Walmart and PG out of your thoughts, got sick hearing that.
Best to play the back-9, twice
I want to play it!
Does he even have a driver in the bag?
Also, why are they mowing still when you're on the EIGHTEENTH HOLE? Was it closed to the public that day?
I do and it’s gonna be staying there for the foreseeable future
@@JoshMayerGolf that's wild bro, respect.
this is still a legit course....please change the name dude like wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
