This song is "Day By Day" by Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers featuring Damian ( Jr Gong ) Marley. Taken from the CD " Fallen Is Babylon" released in 1997.
I wholeheartedly agree with you! People have no right to compare them to their father or to one another. And although many of Bob Marley's children decided to follow in his footsteps, they are all unique artists and are free to experiment with various musical styles. If they refuse to stay true to just one genre (reggae), that doesn't mean they are bad artists or that they've betrayed their dad's legacy.
its stephen Marley singing ragga sections,. This is a Meloday Makers track and damian wasn't a member of the group but appears at the end of this track singing with stephen. Concious tune, One Love Rastafari!!!!!.
Bob Marley would be very proud of them, no doubt. And I'm sure he wouldn't want his children to be defined just as "Bob's offspring". They are talented, successful individuals, who do not desire to live in anyone's shadow! For all those who judge them and go out of their way to defame the sons of Bob Marley, shame on you! If you are true followers of Bob's music and life's work, the least you could do for this brilliant man is to respect and support his children.
then don't disrespect by sayin it... there will never be another bob but the boys are all bringing their own music to the world... l love them all they all have their own sounds... love to all the Marleys 8-)
@theclimber Singers: David '' Ziggy '' Marley, Stephen '' Ragga '' Marley, Cedella Marley, Sharon Marley, Erica Newell & Damian '' Jr. Gong '' Marley. One of my favorite tracks from that album. I really miss the Melody Makers as a group unit. Guess it had to end one day.
Yeah gud song but people shouldnt be negative if you truly listen to these 2 bros u should be positive and not post garbage just chill, listen n realize
@LlywelyntheGreat YAh.!!! thats so true.!! Bob Marley was the shitz.!!!! his sons are just tiny reflections of him which is bad ass too.!!:D LONG LIVE BOB MARLEY.!!!!! -----buffalo soldier
@kandersonthai he had more than that :) google him a little bit .. some rumors say that he had over 40 children with different women, but i dont know if that is true
Sorry... Much respect to the Marley clan, but this is not Ziggy and Damian, it is Ziggy and Stephen. He is singing "Junior Boom" and states "This is Ragga"... Raggamuffin being Steve's stage name as Jr Gong is Damian's... Great song nonetheless!!

Jr Gong and Damian are one and the same. Excuse if i misunderstand!
Tuff-gong STRONG
will gave to you the darkest of affliction
Damian Marley doesn't appear on this song until 4:40. The rest is Stephen Marley the original deejay of the family. GIve credit where credit is due
its Damian. he says "jr gong in the place" in the second verse
I wish I was a Marley
Thats the melody makers.... stephen, ziggy and their sister were in the group
it sounds old from damian marleys part when was this made ?
it is all 3, stephen says its him in the beginning
I am certain that Bob wouldn't have been with any woman that wasn't a goddess herself.
Rastraman peace from Polsh
I don't like Damian, but Ziggy in the refrain makes the song very good. :)
@kushzilla Where we can find marley's songs we can find peace

+Hanny Kins it's the melody makers, Ziggy, Stephen and their sisters.
+Asher Rio Stephen Marley sings at the opening verse.. he even says this is Ragga..
+Hanny Kins Yes Stephen sings in this song ! But Ziggy too. Day by day is not a song of damian and ziggy marley, it's a song of the Melody Makers from the album Fallen is Babylon, and the Melody Makers is a band with Ziggy, Stephen and their two sisters.

@BaalsJurisdiction
What did you smoke? Search for a hospital.
stephen marley not DAMIAN
Ohhh, no ... :)))
The way they pronounce "Day by day" sounds exactly like "Fuck you, fuck you" in Bulgarian, i.e. Deyba deyba :) Repeating helps a lot
kkllkll
