Emily, you guys don't mess around! The house is coming along faster then I thought! I'm sure you are tired, but when you look back at all you did, and all you are learning, it will be a good tired? Maybe? haha My husband and I do stuff, sometimes more then we should, we are older then you are. It's just so rewarding! Improvements, or switching things out just to make it better. So worth it! I love pex! My husband is a builder and was a building inspector for 16 years. So he's great at wanting to do things to our current home. You're doing great! I'm sure it's going to look beautiful! Just turned 1/2 of our 2 bay garage into a master bathroom. Had to cut concrete, all new plumbing, did my own framing, electrical, drywall and paint. Took me a year start to finish. We love it though!

A tip for the shower. If you have a fixed waterfall shower you also need a flexible shower as well for ease of cleaning.

Question
How you can get to pick and choose what you want to do or what the contractor do or get pay for? I can’t really picture that situation between home owner and contractor isn’t good deal for him or is it?
So we discuss what the project is and then if there is something we can do and he knows will do it correctly we do that. We’ve asked him to do things that are harder for us and easy for him and things that we don’t want to touch he does. He works for us and with us and that’s how it should be but not all contractors do that.
Are you fixing up to sell, live, rent or air b&b? I don’t recall you saying why. ❤
Maybe all, not sure yet! We’re trying to enjoy this project and will see where it goes.

Repeated hand motion can cause carpal tunnel pain. Walmart has wrist braces, which will help reduce your pain and keep it from getting worse. You work so hard! Look forward to seeing the results.

Putting in colour tiles is very personal specially in a flip house. Use paint for the colour much easier for the buyer to change if they don't like it. Have you flipped a house before. To stay within budget remember it's a flip house, need to keep personal tastes out of your thinking, ie all the fixings keep it all very neutral.
