I only hear about the place sung by Patti Potts Doi.

Hasn't changed much since my last visit in 2005.. good surf from Nov to March close by !
Been here in vanimo since 2010, and there are some changes that I can see, though ,not much..yet still simple and beautiful place..
I'm looking forward to visiting Vanimo from Jayapura with my family. Is there any safety advice? Btw, I'm Malaysian and not so familiar with PNG. Thanks.
That's great. Vanimo is small town yet you can enjoy here specially the beach. It's actually safe here but ofcourse keep an eye always on your belongings. You can booked a hotel while you are in vanimo. Gladly recommend the Sandaun Surf Hotel in vanimo..😊😊
