You can make lemonade using monk sugar which has zero calories and tastes like real sugar. No artificial Sweetener aftertaste at all. Lemons also make great salad dressing with some oil, garlic, salt and pepper. You can use lemon to marinate chicken and fish too.
What a beautiful result! Of course, this tree needs a very good pruning, so that it can always make new flowering shoots on sturdy branches and the branches do not tear under the weight. This way you can also prevent diseases from entering through there. Can you give the name or brand or n.p.k. composition of the citrus fertilizer? Thank you very much! Greetings from Belgium
Oh greetings to you! Thank you for the comments! Yes, I will be pruning it. I actually do it as I strip the fruit from the tree. This poor tree. When we moved in, we had another tree next to it cut down. A large piece of that tree fell on this tree and broke part if it. We removed that limb. It's not the prettiest tree but it sure puts out delicious fruit. I can't say the details of the citrus food. It's something we buy at our local Home Depot in the garden department.
Wow I like your lemon tree. I got my Meyer Lemon tree last summer (it is now February 2023) and my tree is about a foot and a half tall and has about a dozen green lemons on it. The branches on the tree in the video look quite thick so I wonder how old the tree is. I don't expect my tree will ever get that impressive as I have to keep it in a pot and bring it indoors over winter where I live in Sheffield England.
That's so wonderful you have a tree. Enjoy your delicious Myer Lemon, no matter it's size. Thank you for watching and commenting. Oh, btw, I believe this tree is probably 50 or more years old.
@@bannguyen5057 I think that it will be grafted as most if not all Meyer Lemon Trees sold in Great Britain are. It has survived in my house so far over winter and I plan to put it back outside in a few weeks time as the temperature and daylight hours are improving.
When your fruit/citrus bearing tree is packed with an excessive amount of fruit /citrus it is best to take some fruit of the tree in the early stages as the tree may produce poorly next year or none at all.
I can only guess. 50+ years. This house was a rental for decades and the guy didn't take care of anything. We put in the back yard and made it a happy place. It gets fed and watered so it feels the love. Thanks for watching and the nice comments.
Your Meyer lemon tree reminds me that I have to prune my orange tree so it's about 4' to 5' tall. I planted it from a Meyer lemon seed that I found wedged in a bistro table in 2013. Right now the tree is about 15' to 20' tall.
😆 Seriously, it's not my doing. It's a very happy tree. The previous owner didn't take care of it at all. So now it's being taken care of, so it's happy. I guess by watering it, feeding it, and pruning it, that's my input. But it did all the magical ✨️ work. Thank you for watching and commenting. Oh, btw, I am in southern California.
What kind of amendments you use on the soil her where I live in California i have a lot of clay soil what do you recommend me i just planted my meyer lemon
This was probably the first year in decades that this poor lemon has been fed. Plus I pruned it back really far the year before so perhaps that helped too. Thank you for your comment.
There's a lot of information online. I am planning to feed it soon. So before spring growth. It probably won't hurt, but it might be best at another time.
I think "dumb luck". Seriously. We have it on a drip line for water and feed it with citrus food we get at Home Depot. It seems to be happy. Before we bought this place it wasn't taken care of at all. So, it must feel the love ❤️.
I do not know. This tree was here when we bought the place. The person who lived here previously rented for decades and did nothing in the yard. I think the owner planted it probably 50 years ago. Reason I say that is because I knew her. But this is a guess.
We are going to move to northern AZ. Thinking about a hot house for dwarf citrus during the cold months. Can you do something like that or cover it in some way?
@@dimpsthealien333 I’m really hoping that I can, I have a lot of researching to do! For now I’m going to grow it in a 25 gallon pot until I’m confident enough to actually plant it in the yard lol
That’s amazing! I would be drinking lemonade everyday from that thing!
Yes! We use them in iced tea but give most away as I am back on my diet. But so many things you can do...like lemon bars! Oh yum!
How lucky you are to experience this and in your backyard…
Greetings from Canada.
Thank you, friend!
This is one of the most beautiful sights on the planet great job taking care of it

wow that's a lot of lemons! gotta make some lemonade!
Wow that's beautiful! I've recently planted a young lemon tree and it's yet to flower or grow fruit. How old is your tree?

We aren't sure. Perhaps 50+.
Beautiful. Is it dwarf or semi-dwarf?
To be honest, we don't know.
That's going to be quite a harvest this year.
It seems never ending. 😆

I hope so too! Best wishes.

Wow! I think that tree has more lemons than leaves. I hope the little tree does not exhaust itself trying to grow all that fruit.
I agree! We are almost done picking it. We will be feeding it soon. Thank you for watching and adding a nice comment 👍 😊.
was this grafted or grown from a cutting?
I'm not sure but I believe it was graphed. It was here before we moved in.

All we do is feed it with citrus food a couple times a year and water it regularly. I'm no expert. But it seems happy.
@@dimpsthealien333 thank you
I have a lemon tree bought a year ago with flowers who dropped and didn’t flower again
Any solutions?
I'm sorry. I am no expert. Maybe call the place you purchased it from and ask them? Good luck!
Que coisa linda! Maravilhoso! ❤❤❤
Thank you!
That looks amazing! Don’t forget the fertilise the tree. It’ll need the nutrients.
Yes! We will definitely be doing that soon. Thank you 😊
I wish I could plant in ground here in MA, I just ordered one to try in a pot. We'll see.
Please keep me posted!

How long did it take you to grow something like this? Its insane!
It's probably 60 years old. It was in sad shape when we moved here. We just gave it love and care.
Please how old is this lemon tree?
I have no idea, but our guess is 40 years or more.
Mine decided to do nothing since I planted it. Just three leaves on the top since April of 2020. Not an inch taller… I’ve tried everything 😡
That really blows. What about asking someone at the place you purchased it from?
@@dimpsthealien333 It was Home Depot, the geniuses don’t know what a plant even is. I buy from nurseries now, I learned from my mistake.
