Love at 9:46 you see the hand controling the space pod. Like obviously they're just having fun making this show but that blatant "low buget effect' cracked me up more.
Lawnchair Larry's story is actually really sad. He ended up killing himself at the age of 44 after long stints of unemployment and breaking up with his girlfriend.
This is absolute perfection! I love all the people who are getting drunk and telling the story so much! Yet the real stars are those who have to perfectly lip sync their words as they act out the history. Colin is so wonderful! Comedy Central is stupid for cancelling Drunk History.
OMFG, I have watched all of these before, some more than once, and I NEVER noticed the dude's name before, always just thought of him as "dude who looks like Tom Hanks."
Cowboy Bebop makes a reference to this event in episode 19, Wild Horses. Spike is re-entering the atmosphere after battling space thieves and he is out of fuel. To remedy the would be catastrophe of burning to a crisp, while entering the Earth's atmosphere. Duhan tells Spike to find a way to decelerate, so he can enter at a certain angle, in order to be shot back out into space. While this is all being explained over the radio, Spike scratches guide lines into his windshield, to help maintain that necessary angle.
Ernest Thompson Seton is not really a well known figure in the West. This is the first time I have ever heard him mentioned in the US. However, in Japan, where I grew up, he is a very popular author. He's not necessarily known as a founder of Boy Scouts, but everyone in Japan has heard of or read the stories about wild animals Seton wrote.
Makes sense, I mean in the west the only real popular stories about anthropomorphic animals were Aesop's fables at the time which were mainly directed at children, Japan has a pretty rich folkloric and literary tradition of animals having human like qualities.
I used to smoke with Mr. Rogers’ son💯. Me, other cooks, waitstaff, and bar tenders, I bought the weed. At his house. Circa 1997, Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh. I also went to the Tree of Life sometimes. RIP.
He was great on Dexter back then I had no idea he was Tom Hank's kid. I'm glad his dad and mom recovered from Covid 19:) I remember colin was in the orginal show Roswell Isabella's boyfriend
OMFG, I have watched all of these before, some more than once, and I NEVER noticed the dude's name before, always just thought of him as "dude who looks like Tom Hanks."
I love how both Colin and Jim hanks have both played Mr.Rodgers! Fun fact- when Jim Hanks can’t do a voice for woody for merchandise, he’ll get his brother to do it.
Later in his life, Walters hiked the San Gabriel Mountains and did volunteer work for the United States Forest Service. He later broke up with his girlfriend of 15 years and could only find work sporadically as a security guard. On October 6, 1993, at the age of 44, Walters took his own life by shooting himself in the heart in Angeles National Forest.
I dunno WHY everyone's acting like they didn't see Mr. Scream at 3:29. Thought I was seeing things so I watched it back 3 times but NOT TODAY! satannnn
Life imitating art...Colin Hanks imitating Tom Hanks imitating Fred Rogers. Perfection.
More like art imitating art imitating life more accurately lol
Don't forget Apolo 13
He also played Gordo who was played by Garry Sinese (spelling?) who was in Apollo 13 starred by Tom Hanks.
I love that Colin raised the face shield and looked disappointingly at the camera when she realized “no, wait, he was more chill than that”.... 😂
Love at 9:46 you see the hand controling the space pod. Like obviously they're just having fun making this show but that blatant "low buget effect' cracked me up more.
One of these days, I need to watch these while drunk.
Honestly it’s a lot of fun lol
I feel stupider after watching this. But not as stupid as i feel after watching my videos. 🤔
Me too except sober
There's something about "-and his buddy Ron." That never fails to make me laugh.
Hey what's up? I'm Ron🤣
Lawnchair Larry's story is actually really sad. He ended up killing himself at the age of 44 after long stints of unemployment and breaking up with his girlfriend.
Sounds more like real life. Sad.
Wow - sounding like how my story will end
@@didimean do you need to talk to someone bro?
So, the American dream?
He hiked into the woods near his house and shot himself if I remember correctly
So Colin got to play an astronaut and Mr. Rogers like his dad =)

His mother knitted the sweaters he wore. I love Mr. Rogers and I love Colin Hanks.
This show always matches the narrators and actors to the subject matter so well. Always interesting as well as hilarious!
Tom and Colin should do a movie where they play the same character at different ages.
The resemblance is uncanny. He's like the spitting image of his old man.
Chet somewhere punching the air right now
Eh...not really. When he was in Orange County a friend of mine had to tell me he's Hanks' kid.
I see the family resemblance, Mr. Rogers is also a family member. Similar but not like Twinzees or anything.
He's the uncanny valley version of his old man
OMFG, I have watched all of these before, some more than once, and I NEVER noticed the dude's name before, always just thought of him as "dude who looks like Tom Hanks."
That head pop out scared the shit out of me 3:29
I never noticed that!

Mr. Rogers was the only friend for alot of us latch key kids. What an amazing man.❤❤❤
Mr. Rogers is and always will be a fuckin saint. we were so damn lucky to have him.
He had a black man on his show when segregation was still going on. They had their feet in a kiddie pool.
Bring back Drunk History!
😆😂🤣 anyone else notice in the first story when he’s in the army navy surplus store he’s wearing a name tag that says “I’m 13?”
Yep
Hell of an actor Colin Hanks 🙌🏻♥️😍
Colin was so great in Peter Jackson's King Kong. He's got his father's cool loox & talent. I love your work Colin
Both him and his dad both played Mr Rogers 😂
Who ever had the idea of this concept needs to get a f***ing medal.
Derek Waters looks like an alcoholic version of wolverine. props
LOL TOTALLY.
Mr Rogers vs gov budget is a fantastic analogy for emotion and opinion over reason and accountability
Can't tell if you're saying it was a bad thing or not.
I literally cried at the story of Lobo... 😢
Derek Waters dressed as a wolf is really a vibe.
awoo
3:30 scared me so bad lol I’ll have to keep my eyes open for more Easter eggs😂😂
Yes, what was that??? 🤣 scared me!
Thought I was the only one who saw it. Now a feel less schizophrenic.
The story of Lobo and Blanca breaks my fu*#ing heart...truly😪😪
Colin hanks playing Tom hanks playing Fred Rogers would be Kirk Lazarus level meta
"I really don't want to get hit by a plane" lol
"And he shot out, beew beew beew beew, seven of the forty two weather balloons..." 😂😂

The grim reaper popping around the corner 😂😂😂😂😂
Wow I didn’t expect the Boy Scouts of America to have that deep of wolf story.
This is great, but I only wish they added the story about the creation of :A Christmas Carol" with Colin as Charles Dickens.
3:30 did anyone else see that face in the back?? Are there hidden things throughout all of these??
Best history class ever

Loved him in Fargo season 1!!! And can I just say, he looks hella fine in a beard...
derek was laughing so hard in the first skit

at 3:30 a creepy guy wearing a black hoodie sticks hid head out from behind the house over Larry's right shoulder.
Who the hell is that behind the shed at 3:30
It pops out so weird, too
So many people commented that I went back to look and it freaked me out, too! Looks like that killer from the movie Scream.
1:58 no one with a fraction of a brain would pay that much for a lawn chair.

DID ANYONE NOTICE THE GHOST? It pops his head out in the background 3:29. Freaking freaky AF!
Wow, Tom's son playing Mr Rogers before Tom played Mr Rogers
13:12 It is palpable how much disdain he has for the drunk ladies.
I noticed that too!!
I saw that he was laughing and then when he looked off camera something wiped the smile from his face. I don't think it had to do with her.
This guy sure does look like Tom Hanks, wonder if they are related
Was just thinking the same

Timing, editing and a lot of retakes
There is a movie on Netflix called Deckchair Danny. Must be based on this. It's great
3:29 jumpscare behind the shed
So this is NOT the Doug Jones from Hellboy and Fantastic Four. Can we confirm this? 😂
The hand!!
I don't know if Gus Grissom would say the Mercury Project went off without a hitch.
I had never seen Laura Steinel before and I can confidently say that she is the most beautiful comedienne I can remember since from Sarah Silverman!
