Hi. No one seems to cover what to do with the shaft and trimmer head or "diff". Mine has been sitting for about 8 years with very little use and I have no doubt the shaft and trimming head must surely need some work. Cheers Big Ears !!! ":
I rarely watch maintenance type videos, but I always watch yours. The gloves under the pillow on the bed made me laugh out loud. Glad no one was here to check on me. Thanks for the great videos. Perfect start to my day. 😄
You're so professional and clear in your instructions! I even feel like I could manage it myself if I had an oil pan ... and a pillow ... and a trimmer.
Also a good idea when changing the oil is to run the engine for a minute or so to heat the oil up a bit. That way it'll pour out more easily and completely as it won't. be as thick. Also wipe around the dipstick before you remove it so you don't get dirt in the oil sump
If you only use it once a week or 2 weeks probably good idea to check the oil before each start. If you do it commercially just the start of the day and each time you refuel. I do 6 to 8 lawns a week and that works for me
Great video and edit :-) Now that, is a clean floor, when you can put a pillow down safely. Please do a video on your truck and setup, it looks awesome.
I have the UMS425U and it keeps shutting down when I hit the throttle. Ive changed the oil and checked the fule lines and they were held back with a clip which was causing the fuel intake line to kink. I have release it but it is still cutting out on me. Have you got any other tips to help e with this problem
Thanks for the video Tim. I just bought a brand new Honda UMK425 but when i turn it upside down to do the edging, it stops. Isit normal for 4-stroke engine or am i missing anything?
On a serious note, I think you know I refurbish mowers and the one thing people seem to not know how to do is clean their mower, nor do they understand why they should.
Oh hey! 👋 Let me know what you want to see next!
change the oil in the stihl next, dare ya ;)
JyveKilla 🤣

My UMK425U shaft has stopped turning, I would like to know how to service it or, if it is serviceable at all please.

If the engine is not kept upright, oil may go into around the engine.

Cool. Straight and to the point. Now about that cord changing/refilling clip?
hmm, not sure I have ever changed the oil on my trimmer.. maybe I should do that. Thanks Tim

Why don't you do it in a long table instead on the floor.
It's sometimes hard to know if Tim is giving serious advice or just taking the pi$$ 😂
And this is why I use a battery powered trimmer haha
You still need to change the oil in your battery trimmer for proper lubrication.
