I feel like the creators of Fairy Tail knew that one day the anime would come to an end, and all the fans who love it would come back and re-watch it all and hear this opening again. After hearing these English versions of these openings, I'm starting to think some of them are actually Lucy's thoughts brought to life. All she wants is a family that respects her for what she is, and doesn't want her to be anything else. Fairy Tail is just that, which is why I love it.

To many Fairy Tail is a hit or miss. You either love it, or you hate it. I was always a fan of Hiro Mashima since discovered his oneshot, "Magician". Fairy Tail might be the work that was best influenced by Mashima's childhood. Despite all the haters talking about all the cliche friendship and family stuff, there's actually a lot more to it than meets the eye. First off, Japan is an eastern country, obviously with different values than western countries. Here's some human psychology: eastern cultures are more revolved around the concept of strong relationships while western cultures revolve more around the concept of independence. Now back to Hiro Mashima, his father was an aspiring artist who most likely influenced young Mashima into wanting to draw manga. Unfortunately before his father could go professional, his father died. Obviously young Mashima took this hard and became a lonely boy, making few friends along the way. But his grandfather would once in a while give young Mashima some old manga that he found that were meant to be tossed away. Mashima got back to wanted to try to draw manga again. So Mashima strongly values the concepts of family and friendship. I believe that when he first wrote Rave Master, he was influenced by the feeling of loss he felt from his father and his loneliness because SPOILERS many characters die, whether main characters, antagonists, or side/background characters. END SPOILERS Fairy Tail was influenced by his moving on, or so I believe because it appeared to me that Hiro Mashima refused to kill off many characters or was reluctant. The concepts of friendship and family are still a huge concept in his other works such as Monster Soul, Monster Hunter Orage, and Edens Zero. Okay I think I've ranted long enough about some Mashima trivia and thoughts. I loved the song and it brought me so much nostalgia.
I actually really enjoy fairy tail in many aspects and it strikes my heart more often than I like! (Watched only the anime and not read the manga btw.) It still lacks something for me but I can't really explain what, especially in the fight scenes. Also, it was a bit to much time traveling here and there (including other worlds, etc.). But in the important and emotional scenes, Fairy Tail is very strong in my opinion! You seem to be very well informed, good to see people care about the creator as well as the work itself!
@@androssgamedev4614 The fight scenes can be rather anticlimactic due to friendship maybe that's what you're feeling? As for time travel, Hiro Mashima does tend to use that a lot, like in Rave Master. Not always executed well, but still moves the story along. And yeah, I like to have all my facts and reasons before judging a person's or company's work.

I don't want this to end, I wish the eternal adventures are actually eternal, but I know the creators can't do that. Fairy Tail was the first anime I ever watched and inspired me to draw, I can't thank Hiro enough for making this series, it made me cry, it made me laugh. in anticipation of fairy tail: 100 years quest getting an anime, I started watching fairy tail again, start to finish, 1st, 2nd, and final series, ova's and movies. just finished the final episode a little bit ago and I'd forgotten how hard this song hits when it starts up in the background. still one of my favorite songs you've covered

When original song first came out i was learning to sing it in full Japanese for my fiance as a surprise at our wedding because she was also a big anime nerd. Sadly she passed away before I got the chance so I sang it for her at the service. Hearing it in English reminds how much it hurts shes not here but it also reminds me of all the happy memories we made. Its why I love this song so much!

I can't watch this without crying. Her voice is amazing, first of all. Hearing this in English gives the words whole new meanings for me. The images match SO well and are simply beautiful! They remind me of the first few seasons, which were so light and funny! I simply adore this! Thank you so much for making this! The words match perfectly with the timing of the words. Fairy tail will always have a special place in my heart. Not because it’s a hugely impactful series or even a very good one. The writing is subpar and the fight scenes could’ve used some work, but nothing will ever make me as happy as watching all of these characters I’ve grown to love over the years grow and face new challenges. I swear the anime gets way too much hate, I grew up on this and hearing the first words made me tear up a little. Remember people, don’t say goodbye. No matter what 👆🏼

i grew up with this anime. no literally i GREW UP with this anime i was 10 when i first watched fairy tail,back then i was a huge dc and marvel fan,i remember everytime i'd see an anime's cover i'd alwasy say "anime is for losers only fat and ugly people watch anime!!," i remember i was having a really bad day,my dad and mom got mad at me for hitting my sister,lotta people hated me because i had adhd and it made people think i was weird,even the walk home was bad it was raining,i felt like shit,i didnt wanna stay at my parents house so i walked to my uncles house (since we lived in the countryside of hawaii,o'ahu the walk wasnt that far)i was really sad and asked him if i could stay for the weekendhe said sure after calling my parents to aski if it was ok,my uncle was a og anime fan,im talking dubbed ghost stories,one piece,yu yu hakasho prince seiya,and sally the witch (yes i know that anime was for girls and ages 5-up but he liked it alot probably because of the lore behind it) anyways he was sitting down watching his t.v,he then said "hey zenock come here for a bit"i was in his guest room still sad i was still depressed about my whole situation,when i came to the living room he told me that there was a new series and asked if i wanted to watch it i said ok,once it came on i instantly LOVED it, eversince then ive been following the series till its end.i was 19 at the end.fairy tail taught me alot of things,things not even my parents didnt teach me,to smile,to never give up hope,to always believe in youre friends and never give up on them. one quote i especially liked was from erza scarlett "those painful memories are what help us to make it tomorrow and become stronger"that quote was a life changer to me,i started making friends,doing good in school,now im in collage to sum it all up i just wanna say thank you hiro mashima for creating such a beautiful series.
Bro heart touching true story liked it.i want say that I'm now 17 and in recent month I've finished only 4 episodes it is bad for me that I've got this anime in this age if i follow whole 3 seasons. To many Fairy Tail is a hit or miss. You either love it, or you hate it. I was always a fan of Hiro Mashima since discovered his oneshot, "Magician". Fairy Tail might be the work that was best influenced by Mashima's childhood. Despite all the haters talking about all the cliche friendship and family stuff, there's actually a lot more to it than meets the eye. First off, Japan is an eastern country, obviously with different values than western countries. Here's some human psychology: eastern cultures are more revolved around the concept of strong relationships while western cultures revolve more around the concept of independence. Now back to Hiro Mashima, his father was an aspiring artist who most likely influenced young Mashima into wanting to draw manga. Unfortunately before his father could go professional, his father died. Obviously young Mashima took this hard and became a lonely boy, making few friends along the way. But his grandfather would once in a while give young Mashima some old manga that he found that were meant to be tossed away. Mashima got back to wanted to try to draw manga again. So Mashima strongly values the concepts of family and friendship. I believe that when he first wrote Rave Master, he was influenced by the feeling of loss he felt from his father and his loneliness because SPOILERS many characters die, whether main characters, antagonists, or side/background characters. END SPOILERS Fairy Tail was influenced by his moving on, or so I believe because it appeared to me that Hiro Mashima refused to kill off many characters or was reluctant. The concepts of friendship and family are still a huge concept in his other works such as Monster Soul, Monster Hunter Orage, and Edens Zero. Okay I think I've ranted long enough about some Mashima trivia and thoughts. I loved the song and it brought me so much nostalgia.
I actually really enjoy fairy tail in many aspects and it strikes my heart more often than I like!
(Watched only the anime and not read the manga btw.)
It still lacks something for me but I can't really explain what, especially in the fight scenes. Also, it was a bit to much time traveling here and there (including other worlds, etc.).
But in the important and emotional scenes, Fairy Tail is very strong in my opinion!

@@androssgamedev4614 The fight scenes can be rather anticlimactic due to friendship maybe that's what you're feeling? As for time travel, Hiro Mashima does tend to use that a lot, like in Rave Master. Not always executed well, but still moves the story along. And yeah, I like to have all my facts and reasons before judging a person's or company's work.

@leeandlie First song that has ever made me smile and cry at the same time. When original song first came out i was learning to sing it in full Japanese for my fiance as a surprise at our wedding because she was also a big anime nerd.

Fairy tail will always have a special place in my heart. Not because it’s a hugely impactful series or even a very good one. The writing is subpar and the fight scenes could’ve used some work, but nothing will ever make me as happy as watching all of these characters I’ve grown to love over the years grow and face new challenges. i grew up with this anime. no literally i GREW UP with this anime i was 10 when i first watched fairy tail,back then i was a huge dc and marvel fan,i remember everytime i'd see an anime's cover i'd alwasy say "anime is for losers only fat and ugly people watch anime!!," i remember i was having a really bad day,my dad and mom got mad at me for hitting my sister,lotta people hated me because i had adhd and it made people think i was weird,even the walk home was bad it was raining,i felt like shit,i didnt wanna stay at my parents house so i walked to my uncles house (since we lived in the countryside of hawaii,o'ahu the walk wasnt that far)i was really sad and asked him if i could stay for the weekendhe said sure after calling my parents to aski if it was ok,my uncle was a og anime fan,im talking dubbed ghost stories,one piece,yu yu hakasho prince seiya,and sally the witch (yes i know that anime was for girls and ages 5-up but he liked it alot probably because of the lore behind it) anyways he was sitting down watching his t.v,he then said "hey zenock come here for a bit"i was in his guest room still sad i was still depressed about my whole situation,when i came to the living room he told me that there was a new series and asked if i wanted to watch it i said ok,once it came on i instantly LOVED it,
eversince then ive been following the series till its end.i was 19 at the end.fairy tail taught me alot of things,things not even my parents didnt teach me,to smile,to never give up hope,to always believe in youre friends and never give up on them.
