Can you use the chronograph at the same time as a timer is going? So start stop start stop the chronograph which accumulates an amount of time. Then when the timer ends and rings check how much chronograph time has been accumulated. It could be stoppage time (chrono) in 45min (timer) soccer half.

Yes the timer and stop watch can be running simultaneously, no issues there.
