Looks like its going well . I like your attention to details on that tank, if I saw that bung welded on I would also appreciate the simple solution.

I dig the modern Metric bike projects. I'm also a huge fan of Classic Datsuns and would love to see a good video about that classic (antique lol) white Z in the background there. I had a blue 77 and I loved that car. Crazy fast but the subframe rusted off that car. Bike progress looks great as well

It needs to be lowered to look awesome. You can lower it for free, only cut and extend the link in the back, and in the front cut the upper spacers and put the cut part under the lower spring on the damper with shims. Job done

I would use some Fat Bob tanks on that build. Looks like you have the room. It also might give you a place to put the coolant filler. 🤔

Put some short springs on that seat I think that would be sick and prob more comfy as well

For that tank you could cut off the mounting tab and then weld something to fill the front of the tunnel then weld a new mount at the bottom, if you wanted to make that one work. Then it would be a higher angle and look like it was made that way

A C shaped bkt that hooks around that bar would've achieved the same thing for the seat. Or, redo the original bkt & make it it a few inches longer with a C hook on the end 🤷‍♂️
    Enjoying this, keep it up

I will say the videos are a god sent and I appreciate you providing us with this quality content. I did have a question about he seat, how did the comfortability come out with you not having a springs under your seat? Or was that not a big deal to you to begin with?

So just my 4 ¢ on your build. ( Yes you have skills and have fabricated many nice choppers and bobbers)
The Kawasaki is a different machine; a bagger or drag bike vs a chopper or bobber.. the 50ft lbs of tork with the ss and the gearing are different so add a large front sprocket and a smaller rear will allow 100 mph in 3rd.. the bike is built for hy and long runs I have put 5 hours on one ride before stopping..
The H.D has a split tank so that will allow a better balance. And yes we learn our vn800s a 93% and 2 stroke oil will create a crotch rocket.. I run 130/90. 16. And 140/90 16 I use a wide tred vs skinny ot tall.. at 500lbs they maneuver very well. The short run bar hopping bikes are and have different qualities. A bagger for the long haul. You know.
    Much thanks; Russ.
The VN parts can be a bit $$$ so we mod what we got. Best of luck.

I recon that extension of metal will rotate with one bolt holding the seat ,best ya weld it to the main bit so it cant move. That or cut another longer bit so ya got the two bolts holding it or even better, start again, make a whole new one & do it right.
