spot on with those kicks during the chorus. if you really wanted to go all out i would have used a really ringy ride synth to mimic that metal sound. or a huge bell or some other kind of weird metal object. but for a standard drum kit it was cool.
@@Farvadude Somebody totally different! I just decided to comment cus I tapped one of the blades and immediately thought of this song, and throwing it in with a drum kit.
@@TheTurtleneck64 my theory is that that oddly-melodic metal sound is actually the sound of a wooden pole striking a metal basketball pole that holds up the backboard and basket. my reason for believing that is there's a metal basketball poll on the playground in my parents' neighborhood where i grew up and when i used to strike it with large sticks as a kid it sounded almost exactly like the metal sound in this song. like shockingly similar. it might be worth investigating this if you're trying to mimic the sound, but i don't know if all or even any other metal basketball polls would make the same sound or anything similar.
@@Farvadude Hey, check this out. Years before Death Grips, but it makes me feel this was definitely a saw blade ua-cam.com/video/g4BBIDB0EaE/v-deo.html
I don't play the drums, so I don't really know how complex this is to play (sorry). But damn, you made the song sound p. good. Only thing I find a little off putting is the chorus's bass part. Nonetheless great job.
so crazy that zach does this on a single pedal, god damn
I can't even fathom it. He's on an entire other level.
Still really enjoyed this cover :)
I always thought he played it using the floor tom
James Owens That's what I first thought too but nopeeeee
Was thinking the same, stamina on god mode
not noided enough
you're a good drummer, but you don't look heated enough
this song sounds so good with live drums
Zack would kill like he hates it
*Zach

My friends and I got some free saw blades from some dude and it sounds just like this, we're gonna find a way to stick em on cymbal stands.
@@TheTurtleneck64 are you the guy in the video/one of his friends or someone else attempting something similar?

dope still bumpin 2024
i actually like it
Zach wouldn't use a double pedal
You're probably right. This is just my interpretation, though; I'm not trying to be like Zach.
Garrett Parker he probably wouldnt use sticks either
He uses very few drum pieces to challenge himself
he's not zach
hey dude, your cover is awesome ... but, where's the passion?
The passion is his focus
Well done
Love the precision!
Nicely done!
