Hot sauce doesn’t even get the credit he deserves. Only from us true fans. The professor is the one who gets all the props. Which I love professor and he is good but there are ppl like AO and hot sauce who deserve way more credit
Never realized how heavily my game was impacted by watching all these AND1 mistakes growing up.... Definitely learned all the street ball moves before I mastered the fundamentals but AND1 inspired me to be creative on floor 💯💯💯
Seattle Supersonics (at the time) were stupid for not givin him ah contact AO was ah total package pg his court vision was crazy he could slash and create off the dribble he in my top 5 pg's period
not if you check is G-League stats. He couldn't shoot the NBA 3, and at the time, the league was starting to focus on athletic shooting PGs. He also wasn't great on the defensive side of the ball either, nor was he an elite athlete by NBA standards. You have to remember, playing in these And 1 pickup games, he wasn't exactly playing against top level competition. There also is little to no defense being played.
ik I was watching since season one I remember I was about 11 AO is the best footwork handles change of direction timing passing he was playing with AI and killing it he 6ft3 he could have been a pg easy in the league easy goat
@@WutTheDeuceGaming that's a lie idk where you got that information from smh the reason why he didn't play in the NBA was because he wasn't coachable that's what stop him did you really watch and 1 or street ball because they say why he didn't get the contact and they use to have a big as tournament outside where the best hoopers was at the time and the winner from that gets to play in the gym at night like all this is on the tapes SMH
baller331 1 don’t even get me started on today’s fashion lol Especially with those toddler pants dudes wear these days that are skinny but sag and have the elastic bands around the ankles just like a toddler with a soggy diaper lol
Because they cornballs who only got into the streetball scene late. On Professor got that privilege so all he gotta do is repeat moves from before nd Lil Jimmy and Chad thinks hes the greatest ever.
The funny thing is a huge part of streetball moves that every other streetball legend has used originated from him like he is literally in every legends arsenal of moves
I like AO basketball game I Grew up watching and1 when I wuz 14 years old it I taught me how to create my own streetball moves now am older I still do streetball moves as today thanks and1 for everything u guys taught me And thank u AO also
I always loved AO , that cat is an awesome hooper , grew up watching all AND 1 hoopers and watched their moves to learn from them and be like them. Haha
I remember when ESPN streetball was showing him trying out for the NBA and days ago I was thinking like....a great opportunity has it's own success away from the desire if broken down making the most of just the opportunity....
Two diff styles AO was more of an NBA player who passed like Magic Johnson Hot sauce was more like a flashy magician who broke ankles with street ball moves and than would throw the ball in the stands instead of score lol
Take it from somebody who knows first hand, there are a lot of dudes in the world who are VERY, VERY good at basketball that aren't NBA material. Even the guys who barely miss making the NBA are fucking beastly. I've played pick up against D-League benchwarmers, and they'd look like gods against regular pickup players.
The 30 for 30 documentary about And1 Street Ball has more than tripled the views of these videos on UA-cam. I been watchin the views climb every day! I even been bumping 1999
I remember when he tried out for Super Sonics, was rotting for him. But I knew he was probably to small with nothing but street cred to back him. Glad Skip did pretty decent in his time in NBA. A lot of good players don't make it, AO was a legit baller though one of my favorite streetball legends.
the most underrated player in And 1 streetball, AO's one of the best passers I've ever seen, hands down
Headache was amazing to that dude use to do "magic" passing.
#phillylegend
Amazing dribbling skillz, so elegant
Reminds me of nash
I think he's the best period... Hot sauce is dam good but I pick AO over him anyday
AO was a real basketball player. There were others, but he was definitely one of the ones who could play real basketball.
@WinConsinSportsNutRW Silk, Pat da Roc, Pharmacist, Bone Collector too.
@WinConsinSportsNutRW Hot Sauce literally traveled or carried on every possession. Sauce and Professor never really proved their game on the streets
Exactly even hotsauce took one of aos move and professor looked up to him when he was younger.
@@elbowgang9715 Sauce had more creativity tho can't deny him that
Proffesor too
Man... bring back AND1 TODAY. PLEASE
@ 05:07 daaaammn!!!! I'm done, nothing tops that. AO is a beast enough said!!
This dude inspired professor, hot sauce, & Kyrie!! Wuuut..
Hot Sauce is from the same time. they entered the tour in 2001-2002. maybe in Professor, Kyrie and Rondo ive seen influences of AO and Skip2MyLou.
When i see kyrie spin, it reminds me of skip..so glad i grew up watching these dudes
the reason I picked up a basketball at 11 and took it serious
@@psimbyosis8162 naahhh hot sauce admitted to stealing A.O tapes and studying his moves .be cool
Best And 1 player
u cannot forget ao passes his passes were SICK its sad how he is so underrated he should be looked up to like hotsause or the professor
hot sauce
Christian Caballero hotsause
Melachi Gillings well said
Hot sauce doesn’t even get the credit he deserves.
Only from us true fans.
The professor is the one who gets all the props.
Which I love professor and he is good but there are ppl like AO and hot sauce who deserve way more credit
@@cloud_monkey422 Professor marketed himself in the social media era better. In the prime of And 1 days, Hot Sauce was by far the most popular
Just passing through in 2020. Met this guy back in 06 when I was 14 was and still is my fav streetballer of all time
I was 14 roun that same time I jus remember them mixtapes from 01-04 shit was glorious
I watch shit like this just to remember the good times in my life
AO played the best PG postion for And1. We wasn't selfish big headed in any way and had dribbles and passed the ball very well.
I love u tio and miss u well be comig soon
Never realized how heavily my game was impacted by watching all these AND1 mistakes growing up.... Definitely learned all the street ball moves before I mastered the fundamentals but AND1 inspired me to be creative on floor 💯💯💯
AO was one of the greatest And 1 players! Didn't need to be flashy to break ankles and humiliate opponents!
Kay Sabb ggghhhjjjji
Facts......but he did those other things too lol
Faxtz all day long
somebody needs to bring and 1 back man
He should had played in the NBA without a shadow of a doubt. One of my favorite basketball players of all time# G.O.A.T of Philly
"He betta not have any family in da buildin cuz it's a rap" 😭
He was doing the step curry layup before steph curry
Jordan Tribble It's called under hand floater
Its called the AO Layup kid ...
AO and Hotsauce for real time... all time street legends. Some of my favs were 50, Helicopter and Escalade RIP
Don't forget Flash and Alimoe AKA Black Widow 🕷️🙏🙏😇😇🕊️🕊️⚡
2022 Still checking AO highlights dude handles was crazy definitely should have been in the nba

Funny looking back at how baggy our clothes were in the early 2000's
DoITAll 1911 haha look now the people now wear fkng skinny jeans
Next thing coming no cloths

DoITAll 1911 a size 36/36 back tHan was a 36/36 if not bigger.
Now days a 36/36 is legit like a 32/30
DoITAll 1911 now it’s that skinny crap
Mad respect man A.O was my favorite person to use in streets hoop" him and the big man Escalade...
AO is really slept on most ppl only talk about Professor and Hot Sauce when they both got the running crossover from him
Because they cornballs who only got into the streetball scene late. On Professor got that privilege so all he gotta do is repeat moves from before nd Lil Jimmy and Chad thinks hes the greatest ever.
He also had a tryout with a nba team. He could've did somethings in the big league. But big up to Philly and The legend AO 💯
Fun Fact: AO played as the Prince double in the Chappelle Charley Murphy skit.
Fr ?
Oh shit
Damn that's cool
no way
Hell no 😂😂😂
In elementary school i was fascinated by the way a.o played definitely my favorite
5:38 was HILARIOUS! It's past midnight and I LAUGHED LOUDLY internally silently. loool
lol!!!
His moves were actually legal, very impressive.
Before he was famous dex
AO was/still is a tremendous player till this day 💯 then passes and handles are legendary
That in-bounding play where he bounces it off your head and the ball goes out of bounds and he points... Disrespectfully Hilarious!!! 3:05
The funny thing is a huge part of streetball moves that every other streetball legend has used originated from him like he is literally in every legends arsenal of moves
Legendary AND1 player from my city Philly. S/O to AO for representing on brotherly love

This is legendary for me. I learned streetball in middle school early 2k. And 1 for life
He Played as Prince on the Chappelle Show in the basketball scene.
The announce would always be like, "Ayyyyeee Ohhhhh, Ayyyyyee Ohhhh" when he had the ball. Lol
I remember when ESPN streetball was showing him trying out for the NBA and days ago I was thinking like....a great opportunity has it's own success away from the desire if broken down making the most of just the opportunity....
AO had the mentality of an NBA player, especially back in the day. Dude got mad handles for days
AO the pioneer of that running cross over 💪💪💪💪
6:03
Was that Hot Sauce he was handling??? Lol damn
Sik wit it
Thanks
You cant tell the difference between him and Jamal Crawford. Their ball handling skills are exactly identical.
AO was a beast, I miss And1 for real! My man MAIN EVENT tho...Wow!!

Crazy how far basketball has come that a lot of these once truly unique moves are now commonplace
he was the originator of alot of moves streetball legends used. AO and Hot Sauce
Good times!!!!
Dope video but damn near thought he was dead with everyone talking about him so past tense. As of today (8/3/20) AO is still alive.

i always thought AO > hot sauce
As a player he clearly was. Hot Sauce was more fun though
semajgnik Same
Two diff styles
AO was more of an NBA player who passed like Magic Johnson
Hot sauce was more like a flashy magician who broke ankles with street ball moves and than would throw the ball in the stands instead of score lol
Only player on the streetball tip on the same level as AO is Bonecollector, Earl Manigault + Pee Wee Kirkland. Maybe Silk;
AO was fire, def should of made it to the league
