I'm aiming for all 9s in my GCSE, this video was really helpful too, i have a year left till my GCSEs and this is the perfect way for me to prepare myself with no stress, thx soo much!
I might Edit this comment on 2022 August for my results :)
And let u know, that thx to u, another person was able to reach their dream grades XD -wish me luck!
I’m in the same position as you! I’m also I’m year 10 and I’m aiming for all 9s too. Hope we both succeed.🤞
ah me too, I want to go to medical school in the future so I’m want to get all 9s, currently the summer holidays but I haven’t done anything yet, idek where to start but I’ll try going over some topics to prepare :)
@@saya_shh same bro lmao we in the same position I’m basically predicted all 9s other than french lmao
Great video, it’s really helped me! You seem like a very sweet person
don't forget to check out Barbara's GCSE English course- (+open me for bonus tips lol)

Make your handwriting bigger in essay exams teehee (I did an experiment and I got better marks when my handwriting was bigger LOL)
aaaah, my gcses start on mondaaaayyyyy and omg can I just say that you AND your smile are so prettyy! and I love how positive your vibe is :D I hope you continue smiling gorgeous, your videos are so useful and helpful. Don't overwork yourself and just know you're doing amazing! take care
‘If you don’t have any friends’
I felt that...😔😭
Thank youu for this video!! Subbed immediately hehe!! Would it be possible if you could do some specific gcse related videos, like a maths/bio one xxx
aw thanks for your comment!! xx and thanks for the ideas- I'll add those suggestions to the list of videos to make in the summer after a levels are over!! but for maths the main thing is to go over past papers with the mark scheme so you understand every questions and where you went wrong (also go over the same paper multiple times if you run out of papers to do!) and for biology I watched free science lessons as it goes over the whole specification and i read my cgp guide and did some papers with the mark scheme in front of me!! hope that is somewhat helpful but good luck! xx
Rosia Li thank you so much! I’m currently in year 10 ahahah, super scared if my exams are gonna get cancelled next year 😣😩 But thank you again for the tipss, I hope that you are stay safe and healthy :)) 💕
@@angelamu6109 ahh you've got this!! keep working hard (but not too hard haha, I think one of my regrets from last summer was spending too much time studying and not going out and enjoying time with friends) and im sure whatever happens you'll do great :) and you too! xx
Rosia Li omgg ur literally meee! I spend most of my time studying because idk why but i enjoy it, i enjoy figuring out the formula behind every subject. Once you do, it becomes so much easier to gain top marks. I’ve always wanted all 9s since like year 7, always a goal I’m thriving towards. But tysm, i hope that i could be just like you
@@angelamu6109 aww haha you're so sweet! and yes I am Chinese! I'm sure you can do it!
tysmm. this vid was so helpful. if i want to aim for all 9’s when do you think i should start revision for gsces? is after year 11 mocks in december ok? x
You're welcome! I think just before every topic test, and little and often consistent work goes a long way, but I think I probably started working harder from december onward! (and then particularly easter!)
Hey I have 6 months left for gcse
Do you think I can take all 9s?
Can you give me some tips? Please. It would be really helpful. And the points you mentioned above was also really helpful
highly unlikley probably not however if you were to spend everyday from now till ur gcse you could possibly do it
honestly active recall as i’m sure you’re probably bored of hearing by now is just so good!! and basic facts!! just knowing the basics in every subject like geography for example how many layers there in earth or science the basic practicals just to get those marks you could miss during revision
It honestly depends on where you're at right now, if you're already a grade 7 student it shouldn't take more than a few months to get up to that grade 9 for every subject, if you're a bit lower it will take some time to build up your foundation. My recommendation is doing a LOT of papers to really understand the mark scheme (and make sure you have your teacher look at the papers after you've done them for advice).
How do I revise for English language and how can I get faster? I’m always so slow on English language tests and lose so many marks because I run out of time
Thank you! I am so worried for year 11. How easy is it to get 8’s and 9’s? Also, are gcse tutors useful or effective?? 😁
Hi, this video is really helpful! Quick question: for GCSEs did you mainly make paper notes or digital notes and how? Thank you for everything! ✨ Your videos have really motivated me!
Hi, super helpful video, thank you!! I'm going into Year 11 tomorrow and I've only gotten 5's in my triple science and maths mocks. Do you think it's possible to get 9's in those subjects?
When did you properly start revising.
I’m stressing so much for my mocks. Also I’ve alrdy wasted my time to study from September to December
Because I’m too scared etc. I rlly wanna start and improve but it’s so hard for me because I can’t focus and lose concentration which makes me want to do something else instead of actually revising. I can’t seem to engage to what I have to do. Ik if I don’t start now. It’s going to be difficult and I alrdy regret not starting in September. I’m failing so many tests especially maths. And I never get the motivation to re learn something I didn’t understand in lesson. I get too tired and never bothered to do it
@@rosia_li bro I just wanna move down. It too hard for me 😪
Also. I did a past paper. And only got 4 marks 💀 also I keep procrastinating
does anyone have tips for geography, im failing it.
Hey I am a gcse student and wanted to ask some questions like did you use to study everyday? If yes then about how many hours? Plus did you also used to study in half term breaks and Christmas breaks and as I am rn in year 10 so should I study everyday or how many hours a day for top grades?? Plz reply
hi! Tbh I don't really remember how much I studied each day; I guess study smart not hard! But it doesn't really matter the number of hours its the quality, and if you're too tired then don't but also don't be lazy!
I started studying in yr 9 but worth it I got all 9/8 only ✏
im going into year 9 in september and have done my end of year exam. Im starting to worry about mocks and gcses. Should i start revising and going over topics now or should i enjoy being in year 9?
ahhh good luck for year 9!! Please don't worry! Enjoy every year, even year 11, it's all about pacing yourself- you don't want to burn out too early! I would recommend to just revise when you feel like it but don't force it and also revise for a particular subject or topic if your teacher has set a test on it, and for end of year tests, but otherwise, work on yourself, spend time with family and friends and enjoy life!! xx
I am going in to year 11 in a week and do you guys have any revisions tips because I am struggling to focus and it's getting worse and I am hoping I can get grade 9s in all my GCSEs
okay i know everyone says this but keep your phone far away from you at all times while revising. if you can forget that people are texting you or a notification from your favourite podcast just came up. if you have a device you use for school, like a laptop or ipad, use that to go over your notes and watch courses and such. if you know that music helps you focus you can use spotify to listen for free online (you do need an account) however it does play ads, when listening to music only play a playlist you know you wont want to skip songs in because that can break your focus. Quizlet is a really good learning and revision tool. it has flashcards, a match game and other great learning tools to help you revise your notes. you can also access other peoples pre made flashcards for free if you feel that your notes from class arent good enough. lastly, make sure to go over the past gcse papers from recent years as early as possible, to keep on track with what you are learning.
I got:
Further Maths: 5
Maths: 8
Eng Lit: 8
Eng Lan: 8
Biology: 9
Chemistry: 6
Physics: 7
History: 7
Geography: 7
Computer Science: 6
so far for art I have a five but idc too much about that.
Excluding art, do you think I will be able to get all 8's and 9's?
Hey i just watched your Video I am from germany I am in year 10 and I would say I am an average student but do you think it is possible to improve so that I do better than average in year 11? The problem is I can't get my self to do more for school
How long would you revise for a day? At the minute i'm revising for around 2-2 and a half hours a day:))
Ahh, I'm in year 11 and only do an hour/an hour and a half per day??
hi, thank you for this video! i've got a month and a few days left to go and my lowest grades have been a 6 in maths and eng lit. spanish, history and eng lang were 9s. the rest were 7/8s. do you think it's still possible for me to go up grades in maths and eng lit? and maybe up to 9s? i always feel a little guilty because i don't revise daily and only do around 5-8 hours the day before the mocks. and i did especially none for maths and eng lit. i end up getting stressed out because i dont know if there's any time left to go up a grade. do you think i could still make it?
Hmm i defo dont know ur situation well enough to say so, but all i know is that if we both work hard then we will have no regrets!
@@rosia_li fair enough! i realised that these were my results from my march mocks and my grades are 7/8/9s now (maths being a high 7, nearly an 8) so ill just keep doing my best. you're totally right ^^
i was in a rlly similar situation - I had 9s in eng lang, eng lit, history, latin, geography, physics and 7/8s in everything else EXCEPT MATHS! but i got an 8 in my maths gcse. my tip is to identify your weaknesses and practice, practice, practice, literally whether it's 6 days or 6 weeks before your exam!
@@sophiemorrison5369 hi! thank you for this advice though i’ve already gotten my gcses back this year :) i got 9999999888 in the end but my maths stayed at an 8. congrats on getting your results back!
@@skreast how did u get a 9 in English language? any tips? esp creative writing?I'm at a 6
Hey so I'm near the end of year 10 and my current grades are:
Chemistry - 8
Biology - 9
Physics - 9
Maths - 8
English language - 7
English Literature - 5/6
History - 8/9
Religion - 9
Philosophy and Ethics - 9
Geography - 9
Do you think it would be possible to get all 9s?
Tip 8 looks funny out of context
How did you study geography because I find the highschool geography hard & complicated. I'm literally giving up on it
@@rosia_li I honestly feel like taking Geography out because I have 9 subjects to write in total but you only need 6 to get into a good university.
Hey what if you’re in year 9?
Try your best in every end of year test and gcses will come round very quick! But also have fun
Would you give me some tips about study schedule? Please
I don't have much of a study schedule, but just see how much you want to get done and plan accordingly and make sure to take breaks! I might make a more detailed video on this later; but experiment and see what works for you :)
Can u drop the links for the biology podcast?
I’m Asian so I need this
how many hours would u recommend to sleep for 3 months prior to the exams
@@ELLIPTICALWR idk depends on how tired u feel but personally 8 would be more ideal for me
What subjects did u do?
maths, eng lit and lang, three sciences, geog, history, music, art, chinese, hpq
I'm going into year 11 in a couple of weeks and you have just saved me a lot of stress!! Thank you so much, wish me luck :)
