Wow…truck campers have come a long way since I was a kid.
I can agree with you on that
Especially the price...
@@j.w.7579 "Tiny House" movement destroyed RV pricing.
Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. We had a huge camper that fit on a 1970 something International pickup.
Only thing missing is the big window in the front where the kiddos can lay on and watch where their going.
Be sure and check inside door frame payload capacity. I bought a 2018 1172. I overbought. This unit caused my front end to almost come completely off the front wheels! 2006 GMC 4X4 dually one ton. My payload sticker was washed out badly. I tried hard to get people to help me figure Lances weight figures worksheet! Never happened. I was dumb-smitten honestly.
Few learning curves. Make sure frig and/or bathroom Doors are firmly closed before bringing the slide out back in.
The rear basement door. Get used to hitting your head lots and lots.
Under no circumstances, even if it’s just for 10 minutes, never park your unit on any sort of incline. If you do your safety gas valve will shut off to your refrigerator. Also, do not attempt to operate slide outs. The manual warns users not to use slide outs unless completely level at all times. this makes it hard for senior citizens who need to get into the bathroom. as there are many places that will have you leaning someway or other that can cause the slide out system to malfunction. The emergency procedures that you have to follow are very difficult. They are very stressful as well. Be warned. you cannot get into the bathroom without opening both slide outs. This does not make a good camper for In-N-Out use in my opinion. It’s more of a base camp model.
The electric cooling fan behind your refrigerator, will come on continuously interfering with your sleep, it will also drain your batteries within 22 hours if not paid attention to.
My 2022 GMC 1 ton Dooley indicates 5436 payload on the inside of my door frame. If I planned on towing or adding anything to the truck itself I would not consider any truck less than a 450 even a 550. I say this as the larger trucks offer bigger brakes stronger braking power and overall a safer driving experience without having to spend lots of money on suspension upgrades leaving you unable to stop in emergencies as well as controlling sway.
GM products are complete garbage
Thanks for info
By the time you got to the bathroom, I completely forgot this is a truck camper. Being able to add slide outs changes everything. Absolutely amazing.
The amount of living space they can now squeeze into these truckbed campers is a amazing.
Thank goodness for all that potato chip storage, and also the bed for the adults I don't care about LOL! This was a great video, thank you so much!
😂😂😂that little pull out bed for the person you don’t care about!! 😂😂😂
Nice job, kid...you present like a real person...a friendly neighbor. Don't lose that, it's priceless. (Nice camper, too 😁)
Thanks!
"Same thing down here..for all your potato chips"..🤣😂🤣
You are awesome..I actually watched the whole video..👌
Thanks for your support! 😁
I am a city girl from Minnesota...I have no idea how this video popped up but I watched the whole thing too. Lol
You dropping your keys and silently looking to the ground... that made me like this video 😂👍🏻😂 I could just see myself there, followed by a low... SOB.... 🤣🤣
I don’t know if you were trying to make us laugh but you had me cracking up. I watched the entire video so good job!
😁Yes...the key fumble made my day! Laughter is good medicine...BIBLICAL.
Fam, you had me with the EuroWindow, but I was SOLD @ 15:29. It describes the way I want to live the NEXT chapter of my LIFE. How I Live, My Rig, My Women. #PullOutGameIsREAL
Thank you I enjoyed your video and honesty. I think this camper is definitely worth the price 😊
Thanks for the very informative video. I knew nothing about truck campers before watching this. Nice camper shell.
Amazing use of space and the best thing for a truck camper no wet bath.
It's a true tiny house without the trailer.
15:33 “I’ve got a pretty good pull out game there” 😎 nice, Brad. Real nice lol
Hahahahhaha
I been around the block a few times with several different RV types, I have to say this is an excellent Truck Camper. It has a lot of great features and uses the space efficiently. Way to go Lance.
At a base price of 65K, it should wipe your ass for you. Lol.
Pretty nice! The bath is great as is that closet in the bedroom!
Wow i got to say that's the nicest truck camper I have ever seen!
That was very nice! Wow. Quality costs....quality lasts. I DID see the key fumble...lol thank you for the laugh! Opening the drawers and doors is a MUST....ignore the people who complain! We want to see the whole thing! Have a blessed day young man. 😁🎺🇺🇸
Thank you for the kind words! Them keys get a bit slippery on me time to time 🤣
@@itsbrad 😊
Nice Unit,,,,out of my league $$$
4 season is now standard! Excellent.
If RV manufacturing were forward thinking ( progressive), most if not all RVs would be 4 season, you think?
Hee, I was _waiting_ for the keychain demo. Brad does not disappoint.
Totally missed lol
Wow it felt like you were showing us a house. I love it!!! 😍
Glad you liked it!!
Love the new interior colors. Wish they kept that window in the living area but still a great unit
Man,this thing look's cozy af.
Hey, Brad! We watch all your reviews and enjoy seeing them all. One thing you might want to consider adding is a "road side pit stop rating". We saw a Host Mammoth camper about 6 months ago that we might have liked to have, but in order to get into it to pee while on the road, we would have to put out all 3 slides. No thanks then.
We travel for basically an entire day before we make a stop for the night. During Covid, going into public rest rooms is not something we want to do. We are thankful to have our own protective little bubble to travel with. I love it.
Some truck campers allow you to get in while at the side of a road, or in a quick rest area or parking lot stop. Some surely do not.
We bought (and would have gotten a Lance if one were available in our are, inventory has been super low) a 2019 Eagle Cap truck camper and without the slide out, we can still get in, access the rest room, even make a sandwich, etc. Being able to make a quick lunch stop is important to us, plus if we end up spending a night in a Walmart parking lot of something like that we might not want to call attention to ourselves and have the slide out. Note we would have bought something brand new, but we were lucky to even find a used camper nowadays.
So, your "pit stop rating" would be very welcome to us, and perhaps several other travelers.
You do a great job with your reviews and we watch every single one of them. Thank you.
Good info, and thank you very much! The 1172 is not accessible with slides in, I’m pretty sure the only one with slides that I’ve been able to weasel my way to the bathroom and kitchen is the 855s. (Had to suck in my belly though lol)
Just open door and squat, it should hide you just fine
We have a Host Mammoth with 3 slides and do have to press two buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to open 2 of the slides to use the bathroom. Very easy for us to use on the road. Also we enjoy the safety and security aspect of this so if someone breaks into the door they can’t access the camper and all our belongings with the slide securely in the way.
FYI the flip up storage compartments next to bed. We call those foot lockers.
Thanks for the info, I’ll make sure to remember that one lol
Beautiful cabcamper!! I own lance cabcamper mines is a 1989..still works amazing...lance definitely makes good QUALITY cabcamper that , will last a LIFETIME...I absolutely love mines...these new monster cab is beauitful, wow !! Thanks , for your...😊
Thank you for your honest review, Carmen! So glad you love your Lance!
Dude, The Santa Cluas is one of my FAVS. GREAT JOB, LOVE THE KEY DROP.
Hard to beat the Classics! Lol
The interior fabrics and colors are much better now than before.
I like them a lot as well!
Interiors of nearly all campers used to be dreadful. RV manufacturers have done a good job of updating to a more modern look, even in some of the less expensive ones.
miss the old campers with the front windshield when i was a kid i'd ride up their with my best friend while her parents drove us to the lake
This one has a few things missing we just got ours. I have a tray for silverware in the little drawer under the table. My sink has a two piece cover. And I have a drawer under the oven.
Hello 👋how are you doing?
Funny and entertaining walk through!
AWESOME video. You always make me laugh. I ❤️ this camper. I never get tired of you videos. I would get the convection oven to heat up my tv dinners because I am to short to reach the microwave. Get a portable blu ray to watch movies. I like my Santa movies also. 👍👏
Portable blu ray is on the list of additions to purchase! Lol
I dont even know what you can buy to haul that think? Idk if a dually will carry that much weight in the bed? There pretty cool no doubt but 80k?
Thanks Brad. Those counter tops are probably corian. Glad to see the 4 season standard upgrade. I wish a solar package was included.
There’s still some people who order and opt out of the solar package so I guess they’re trying not to force a charge on someone who does not want an option. I will say as for my 975, I have dual lithium and dual solar upgrade and batteries still went dead after running some basic amenities while I wasn’t plugged in for 3 days lol I’ve come to the realization they’re nothing more then trickle chargers
@@itsbrad Will the microwave run on batteries only? Can it come with an inverter?
Your Commentary....🤣🤣🤣
That Side Window Adds to the Sleek Look...
Also, can you show the inside with the Slides in please?
I ❤the 🚽 and 🚿
Like that honest review! Things that suck should be discussed or they will never get fixed!
To not have blue ray suck? Who is using these old machines today? Today we are streaming, Netflix etc.
I didn’t even know they sell blue ray stuff anymore.
I think that you gave a great presentation.
Thank you, Mike!
Pit stop brad. So we can stop by and say hi
Lol. I cannot stop laughing. You are so country and it's hilarious! Thanks for the tour.
Wow, I'm amazed at all the space in these! Good presentation Brad!
Miss that window by the ouch.
Really like seeing the upgrades in standard equipment. Thanks for the tour.
Brad, boy have you grown! Presentation is everything, and- yours has improved so much- it's really incredible! Props, kudos, a genuine Good on Ya! and an enthusiastic slap on the back. I think owning that Lance 975 has changed your presentation quite a bit. Now, as an owner & user of these campers- you 'get' the importance of each of the items that you show- for us viewers, it's a real value added feature. Before, your enthusiasm was based strictly on the sale of a unit, now you appreciate the quality, functionality & improvements made, model over model and year over year. Really- just wanted you know that we've noticed, and appreciate your insights much more now. (I hope you read this- not sure if many folks tell you that you rock!)
Thank you very much, David! Always trying to improve for you all!
How much??
@@albertomartinez-df3gw They start at $65,168 and go to a little over $82000. The one in the video is $78,000.
Pretty strong pull out game right there 😂 what a goat!
🤷🏼♂️🤣
They're proud of those.
“GREAT video as always. LANCE went hard on that one. What an update, phenomenal job.
I’m very excited about the new changes, may be time to go ahead and get my ‘22 on order 😁
I purchased a 2002 1172 with a 2002 Chevrolet 3500. Still the truck but out grew the Lance. I purchased a Jayco 5th wheel 27.5 RL Half Ton so my old stock Duramax can tow it. I do miss the convenience of the Lance. I was second owner of the truck and camper and kept it for 5 years before my width and girth out grew it. The Jayco has a wider door :)
I loving my 975 so far!
Cute salesguy. Heknows his product well
Mike is in the video,19 minute mark looks like he’s taking a leak! Go Mike Go!
Shoot he probably was lol
The prices on these are absolutely insane,70k for a truck camper!!?? REally!!
Potato chips...more Potato chips storage, adults y'all don't care about...brother you had me pissing my pants, funny shit. Great video, nice unit. PS they should have kept the window...big miss there
Can't believe all that room
I think I want this. I'm wondering if I could have a variant with the rear slide holding a chest freezer ? For all the hunting trips I'll take in my retirement
Its much larger on the inside than I thought it would be!
Great little showman Brad.
😬
Good tour, nice camper.
These truck campers are pretty cool but I wish the camping industry would innovate so they're easy to put in the back of your truck with something like a rail system. The snow plow industry came out with quick mount/dismount snow plows for instance.
Thanks for making me smile 😃 love your video brother
Glad I could! Thanks for watching!
I'm a truck driver and I am fascinated by these small campers! I'd love to buy one and attach it to local utilities - is that even possible? - if I ever decide to. Your review was very extensive and well thought and I enjoyed it. Yes, I was watching when you asked if anyone was. :)
Most, if not all, truck campers come with a cord for grid tie-in. I have a '99 Lance that came with a 25 ft., 3-prong extension cord.
A washer and dryer would complete this. Great video.
Why is every Brad good lookin? Thanks for video!
I wish you guys would show how functional when slides are in
Great showing.
I noticed around the 5:30 minute mark you mentioned there is no window on a slide out for the 2022 model. Given that the windows for this year's models are pop out style windows they cannot be installed on a slide out because of they would hit the sides of it.
Sad though!
Windows make a hell of a difference in your camping experience.
As long as the roof doesn't leak!
Shockingly nice. I'm very interested in these..
Very well explained and shown….thank you!
Anyone under 59 inches can sleep on that bed or an adult you brought along that you do not care about! Who the hell is bringing that guy? lol, good video! Nice truck camper!
Lol right?! Thank you!
very nice. Love side entry vs. rear entry to avoid hitch of boat or trailer that towing.
Geez, that is sooooo well designed and great video!!!
Lance needs to make locks on all those little doors like the fresh water
They do, keyed the same as the door lock now, not as many keys to keep up with finally lol
Pretty much everything kicks out 👌
That’s right 🦵
$78k for a pick up truck bed camper? Screw that.
I rather buy a home at auction somewhere in Texas
I was all in until I got the sticker shock...I was like hell yeah...I will put a diesel engine in my 69 1 ton 8×12 flatbed former Ryder Rental truck and get one of these Lance slide in campers... but naw...might as well get a fifth wheel or a motor home for 78k...damn it sure looks good!
No kidding...
Any one that can afford that is buying a used 5th wheel !
What in tar nation.....that's a lifetime of money
Great tour.
if my ship came in well i would want a solar and also wind tech and also pole lights some times yet the bathroom disposal i wonder about so i thought maybe instead of inside one a one from hose to a portable out side but say several gallens septic that would be cleaner and also easyer to operate or disposabel stations if any i still lurning '
Thank you for sharing I just enjoy these campers and back the truck do you have one or can you get one with a fireplace in it?
No fireplace option yet 🔥
inside popped in is what is missing , can you get in without popping out? good job though, thanks
Nice looking truck camper. The magazine rack could be used for a spice rack maybe too. Be safe.
Thank you!
Key rack holder works well... Thanks for the walk through.
Hi Brad…any idea when the Truman tankless will be available? Also, would love it if you’d also share your knowledge about the quality, workings of the slide mechanisms in each truck camper. You do a great job! You’re a pleasure to listen to without arrogance or salesmen typical pushiness.
These camper trailers have come a very long way since the days of fiberglass caps.
You’re funny! “Storage for potato chips. More storage for chips”, “sofa bed for kids or an adult you don’t like”!
In 1970 my dad bought a brand new 10'3" Lance camper from the factory for $1995.00 !! How things have changed!
And coke use to be a nickel
And gas was .036/gallon ⛽😳
@@twiceland4ever Less than that where I lived. You could fill up a VW Beetle for less than 3 dollars.
Great review! That is an awesome quality unit.
your very good at your job
Thank you!
Great video Brad...Like the new color accents...not a fan of the windows as they scratch easy. Your the best!
Thanks Jon!
if charm, humour and entertainment value were a factor, Brad would have about a billion dollars in sales every year 😏
Billions of $$ sounds nice lol
@@itsbrad and you'd deserve it, Brad! 😉
Beautiful camper Brad, I wish I had the coin and the heavy duty truck to put it on! My Silverado 2500 HD can't handle that much weight in the bed. Thanks for the update!
I was able to get the 975 Lance Camper, but now trying to find a phat butt to haul it that’s priced at or under retail 🤣
@@itsbrad Finding a used flatbed dually might be easier.
Nice video bud. Well done. Great camper. Love Lance quality.
Thank you!
Have you done a camper with slides in so when traveling want access to things
Nice job Brad. She is a beaut. Cheers!!!
Thanks!
Wow, what a camper! There was really nothing I didn't like or want to change, except the black graphics on the outside. Love the dry bathroom, and the kitchen sink area is well thought out. The odd thing was the external antennae cable hookups are inside a big flat door (exterior compartment) so that means you have to leave that panel door open if you hook to a cable(?) Hope I'm wrong but that seems kinda hokie, design-wise.
Wow is that galley wrong for cooking. Just no counter space.
I was thinking of tiny house and this is really kinda like one but the price is way out of my range but even tiny houses though were not that much to build or cabin to fix or finish i thought a travel trailer is all finished and also built to move a lot and not stationary so really built better than a mobile home so i have looked till i am sick but still look/
Holy truck camper Brad. This new Lance 1172 has given you more views in 5 days than most of your videos in months. I think I account for a few hundred because it looks the same as the one I ordered😂 showed the whole family they love the new look. Have you found out why Lance deleted that window? I think it might be because those new windows have a wider edge and might be in the way of the slide.
Congrats on your new order! I’d say fitment issues, but nothing confirmed yet
I need a little cheeper option i think that one is wicked but i can't afford it
HI BRAD, I read on the Lance Website that they have available the Onan QG2500i Generator that meets acceptable nation park sound levels. I noticed on this review of the 2022 1172 it did not say QG2500i. I am going to check the video again. If it isn’t the QG2500i, then how can I get that model generator on the 2022 975? They much improved the gray color and I probably would have gone with that for 2022. However, I went with the blue and it looks much darker than the 2021. I hope I didn’t make a mistake. Love the new graphics and black accent theme. Great review as always.
I’d like to see it with the slides in . Inside thanks great vlog
I can definitely add that in on my next 1172 vid 😊
You are very enjoyable to watch!
Thanks, Mark!
80 grand , uh woah . Sure is nice don't worry next year 90 after that 115 and by then we'll see if we still have an America . Might have to make mine out of plywood etc . Too big for my 2015 Ram 2500 4x4 longbed . Would have to trade up , another 25 grand ouch . Will have to see if there's any maker with a slide out that would be okay for my 3700 lb payload non dully . Thanks for the video , amazing these campers these days .
