My Analysis:
An extremely OP hero. He must be immediately nerfed for balance and integrity of the game.
(1) "Long range melee" hero - the range of his attack is ridiculously long for a so called 'melee' hero , but I'm going to let this one pass just coz he's a monkey and I happen to be a fan of of the item Monkey King Bar, so I'll let him enjoy playing with his long range pole...
(2) His stun skill (1st skill) is wayyyy too long with CRIT and TRUE STRIKE!! My fucking God - if this doesn't scream OP then I don't know what does. This is better than Earthshaker's skill no.1 and Phantom Assasin's crit-activated dagger skills combined! The long cool down doesn't make up for this whatsoever. The skill range should at the very least be the SAME as his melee attack range and the duration of stun should be reduced with no true strike priviledge.
(3) Monkey jumping business - jumping from tree to tree whilst receiving vision from above is like giving him a free dagger and observer wards. Way too OP! "If the tree is chopped down he is stunned for 4 secs". Yeah, good luck with that! As if anyone is going to successfuly chop him down when you have a loose monkey on roids roaming freely. Ridiculous skill.
(4) Passive skill - The crit is crazyyyyy and you know it! Why even have the hero Phantom Assasin when this monkey can stun, crit, activate true strike, jump on trees, turn into things and ultimate rapes you with the rest of his monkey thugs?
(5) The skill that turns him into objects - I mean that is just pure absurdity. It's difficult as it is to chop down the tree that he is purged on and now he has the ability to turn into things that are very hard to detect (with the exception of the peeled banana which is laughable - Can you imagine a hero actually slipping from the said banana and kills himself?)
Here's a suggestion: why not turn him into a freaking big DILDO or a 3 inches penis for all I care.
(6) ***His ULTIMATE*** - Don't get me started! The AOE is wayyyy too large. This puts RIKI's ultimate to shame. It's ridiculously powerful. He can use his ultimate while he's purged on a tree making his opponents difficult to escape in time and of course his stun (1st skill) traps you in there for 2 secs because it's inevitably used together.
At the very least make the AOE wayyyyy smaller or that he must be equipped with an Agahnim Scepter to have this insane AOE.
Overall, a very disgustingly OP hero with disgusting set of skills. I am not a fan of this monkey business.
relax man, valve know what is doing, i mean, they released a arcana and need people buying it, and the only effective way to do it is making him the most op on the patch... but about the nerfs i would say that they will work on mana cost, coz jumping on trees like that without using mana is stupid, same as that trick spell- wich they wont remove coz makes sense on that hero

People are saying this hero is unbalanced, but he is exactly like Slark in a way. Both this hero and Slark get WAY out of control of fed, and snowball extremely well. But there are so many ways to counter them bother, even MORESO for Monkey King, as his escape isn't as dependable as Slark's, since Slark as a self purge and an amazing ult, and his pounce. Monkey King only has his tree leap, which is disabled from attacks. So any damage over time affects completely ruins his escape, and then while fighting him you want stuns, just like with Slark, since both of them fight kind of dirty with their passives. People are trying to counter him with heroes like Timber Saw and Engima and then quelling blade, but by letting him be in the trees at all you are giving him the chance to get those extra first hits in, and get the advantage to begin with. You need to treat it like an invis hero. Once a Slark gets shadowblade, you always have sentries around, or at the very least never be alone. You should do the same with Monkey King, that way he can't get those first hits in on you, and get his passive triggered. Use stuns and damage over time to prevent him from getting to the trees at all, then he can't do shit. He has no other movement skills. Venomancer is great. Doom is good. Orb of vebom destroys him early game. Special mention to Vengeful Spirit, since she can swap Monkey King out of his ult, COMPLETELY REMOVING IT FROM PLAY. THAT is insanely good. You guys need to think about ways to counter him other than just chopping trees.
I haven't tried dota 2 in a long time, but his stun is crazy imo. Long range stun can be used against multiple opponents to win your team fights.
Dota 2 hero picking roles: Carry, support, and now tree cutter. Tree cutters only job is chop down trees such as timbersaw, beastmaster, ...etc.

he's not really balanced. at level 2 he can do over 600dmg in a combo of 2 skills

i strongly agree, 1st game played this hero, got 19-1, 2nd game I still played MK, mybe i was lucky, my enemies are in full information about MK and picked carry heroes with stuns, and we lost the game xD.

I think they should make his stun range shorter, increase the tree jump to 5 sec (or at least 4) and his passive, tottaly should be fixed to give him less damage or make the necessary amount of hits higher, cause +100 damage at lvl5 is totally unfair

but what kind of nerf? passive having damage and life steal is too much...one should be taken out at least. maybe. echo saber is making the hero more powerful that its original design. makes hitting those 4 shots very easy. BUT LOL has the common 3 auto attack = some buff mechanic for a lot of their heros as well.
I think it's ridiculous that Boundless Strike do almost the same as Sniper's ult WITH SCEPTER, but doesn't have chanelling, not to mention that it works together with Jingu Mastery AND have a stun of 2 seconds. Pretty balanced.

He isnt imba at all. hes very strong in the beginning but as a late game carry gets outclassed by other carries, especially agi carries with the new talent tree change. like jugg and am getting 25 free agi. hes good as a position 2 or 3. and you also need to pair him with a disable heavy lineup or else you just get dumpstered.

Simple counters for this monkey:
Blademail, Ghost scepter and ethereal blade, force staff and hurricane pike, heaven's halberd, any hero who cuts lots of trees, any hero who can move him away from his ult, any hero with high attack range, stuns and any hero with fast AS and bash and high DPS too, also evasion can counter him for a moment as well.
Even with all those counters, people ask for nerf.
