I must say, I don't know you but Im so proud of you Paige. If I could go back in time and do things differently I would in a heartbeat. I got trapped into thinking I needed the "American Dream" (spouse, house, 2.5 kids, and a car) even though I knew in my heart that I never really craved those things (only what they represented). Here I am at 45 years old, 2/3 of the way to Masters degree but really feeling frustrated that I didn't dream bigger (for me). I'm not putting anybody's decision down only talking about me and what would have worked for me had I had your perspective when I was 26! All the best to you!
SherwoodAnderson I totally feel you, but 45 isn’t 95! It’s not too late, heck I wanna travel abroad myself, I’m 42 and a grandmother but I’m gonna travel soon!
I recently left my career as a lawyer after 10 years to start a Masters programme in Germany. I too wanted to make a change and do something unexpected and see what comes. It's been three months and I'm still adjusting. Still can't speak German. That's been the hardest part of getting settled. I found your channel a couple weeks ago and you're such an inspiration. Thanks and all the best!
Regarding your European travel plans, you should definitely look into an Interrail pass which allows you to travel across nearly all European train services. It makes for a really fun trip where you can learn so much about places you didn't even know existed; I'd recommend it wholeheartedly!
Girl the UK agrees with you because you are so calm and collected. Me, I would have been all over the place stressing:-) Can't wait for the room tour and more workout videos.
Uk girl here 😁 Holland and Barrett’s will have a selection of protein bars for you to try there on most high streets btw it’s like a health food/ fitness shop 😉
We stan an independent queen!! 👏🏾👏🏾 thank you for answering my questions! I’m a new subbie and I’m going to go binge watch your health videos bc I love your personality and demeanor. You’ve inspired me so much to look into grad school abroad and also what you were saying about feeling stagnant, jealous, and “the time is now” resonated with me so much. It’s so beautiful seeing a Black woman kick ass and take control of her destiny. Much love Paige💖💖
This vid really spoke to me. I’m currently studying abroad in Liverpool, UK and I’ve got to say i feel so blessed to have been able to chase my dreams of traveling. Everything was getting old and redundant in my life and I knew I needed something new. I’m definitely going to come back to pursue a postgrad degree in a couple years and live in the UK.
I'm so showing your video to my daughter! This is a must, I tell her all the time, no children, no home ownership, go explore the world. I'm about to retire from one career looking forward to my next career move in another state. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
NaturallyTiTi This is so amazing that you're encouraging your daughter to step out and explore the world. This is exactly my current situation. I'm older than Paige though and sometimes wish I'd done it sooner. Friends tell me since I have no physical ties that I should still seek out this journey. Your comment here and Paige's vlogs are definitely inspiring me to think it over again.
This is great seeing London through your eyes. I wish my daughter would do something this daring. I have shared your videos with her for inspiration. You are doing a great job your parents are proud of you.
I'm watching this as i'm seeking advice for what to do after quarantine. Life comes fast and i've always wanted to live abroad...thinking of following your footsteps!
Welcome! My dad used to work in London and one of my friends lives there, so I've been to London quite a lot, its a fantastic city! I do recommend traveling around the UK though, its all quite different. I recommend Bath, Cambridge, Liverpool, Cornwall, Cardiff/Cardiff Bay, Cotswold, Canterbury, Ilse of Mull and near the sea in Devon, these are places I've been to with my family, (Apart from Cardiff, where I went on a course for a couple of days but it was a fantastic couple of days) that have been amazing. I also recommend going on a tour of Spain if you're thinking of visiting outside of UK. I went there by myself on a tour (First holiday I had by myself, I wanted to know what it was like traveling alone and I'd never been to Spain before so yeah) and it was amazing, love the language, the culture, the sites and love the food!
Aww you are such a sweetheart! I subbed recently and loving your vibes. I am also from the UK and grew up in the Borough you are currently living in. Glad you are having such a good time here in the UK.
You seem sensible enough to cut your costs according to your means. I know someone who returned to Uni as an adult giving up a good job, he was worried but realised that giving up certain things was worth the degree.
Thanks for your Q&A. I am gracious how you explained, that with self-determination, we can self fund our dreams. I am in the final months of my Education Doctoral Degree. I gave up my car and driving expense, moved to a cheaper university apartment, and used the university free bus pass to get around the city. Yes, we can save for our advanced Academic degrees 👍🏾
Some how stumbled upon your channel. We don't know each other and will never meet, however I am so proud that you are creating your new dream. I wish you all the success in your journey.
Hey beautiful, welcome to the UK!! You look so relaxed and happy which is so lovely to see. Definitely get yourself an Oyster card as it's so much easier to travel around London with it!! If the city gets too much at any point, you can jump on a train at Paddington all the way to Oxford. Oxford itself is a lively city, but the Cotswolds around North Oxfordshire and the Ridgeway/Downs of South Oxfordshire are beautiful parts of the countryside, if you wanna see something new. Also, if you ever manage to get to the Lake District at any point, it's a picturesque and tranquil part of the UK with the nicest people. Enjoy!
If you go to Spain, Madrid and Barcelona is great but I also and really recommend visiting this town Ainsa, its so so pretty and I remember the scenery so much, its so beautiful. From wiki- (Aínsa is the main town in the Aínsa-Sobrarbe municipal term, Aragon, Spain. It is located south of the Pyrenees, in a geologically interesting setting. Besides the surrounding mountain landscape, the 12th-century Iglesia parroquial de Santa María church and the 11th-century castle are the main sights of the town)
Congratulations on coming to the UK. I hope your stay here is all you want it to be. It's quite interesting watching what other people think of your home country. ❤
Hi Paige, South London welcomes you to the greatest city in the world. You will find absolutely everything that you require in London. I’ve lived in New York, spent time in Paris and Madrid all great cities. However this great city of London offers far more. “Enjoy your your stay in London” ( I’m So London, I’m so South)
I’m such a planner like you, and sometimes I feel that being so rigid with it can sometimes hold me back. I love how you just took a chance and we all should do this.
This is such an exciting time for you and I hope you will be blessed throughout your visit to the UK. It is great that you have connected with so many helpful UK citizens! Please take the time to be proud of yourself for taking this leap in your journey! Thanks for bringing us with you! Now, I am reviewing my finances to save more for travel!
As someone who also stresses themselves out with all the detail planning on life, I feel you on you decision to just go with the flow! I'm trying to do that myself, which is what brought me here!😅
Found your channel and definitely interested in the content you’re making! I love London, it’s my favourite cities in the world ❤️ visited it like five times already😂 but I have to recommed now that you’re living in Europe to visit other countires as well, since it so easy and everything is so close to each other. Just hop on a bus and in couple of. hours you’ll get experince a whole new different culture! I’m currently on an exchange in Austria and I’ve tried to travel as much as I possibly can. I’m hoping I get to visit the US one day as well
your energy is so bright and warm ✨✨✨ I’ve been so lost and overwhelmed with the whole moving countries thing lol. Like you mentioned, I always told people that my dream was to live in London, but with Covid messing with my study abroad plans (among other, much more important things), it seemed impossible. Looking into UK grad schools has been frustrating and something that I’ve been slowly (and unfortunately) talking myself out of, but this video made me feel like I can do it!! Thank you so much for this :)
Hey CHi-town! I love your videos so much only becuz I recently visited London and fell in love with the city. I always thought of moving to Europe one day even for a couple of years. Everyone should experience that. I just knew you were going to mention Garretts Popcon or Harold's Chicken as the food you missed. LOL Right now Im living thru you...btw Im back in school taking business and marketing classes.
Glad you are here Paige, enjoy your studies. Check Holland and Barretts for protein bars. Arg the student visa application is stressful. I remember when I did mine 4yrs ago, it was horrible and they kept asking silly questions.
so happy I found your channel! You seem to be such a down to earth person & a fabulous friend! I always enjoyed meeting the American students who came to my uni through Erasmus! Hope you're having a fab time
Hi Paige! Thanks for another great vlog! I would love to come visit before you leave next year so that I will have someone there I know. You make it sound so easy. I will plan now because I don’t want to stay in the high priced tourist areas. Enjoying you!
And if you get a chance to in the summer defiantly try and visit Lulworth cove down in the south of england. Its down in Dorset but such a lovely beach. Views are incredible to
You can usually find protein bars in the 'free from' vegan/gluten supermarket section or weirdly in the kind of cosmetics/pharmacy aisles. Depending on the store of course.
Yes, haha. That’s where I get my Atkins bars from in Sainsbury’s. Also amazon do them too and are a decent price when you first order but check the price if you want to order a second time as it can be a lot more expensive. Boots sell them too but not with the food section but in the diet section. You can also buy protein shake drinks in the milk section.
If you want to go to Paris you can go there for the day. Get the eurostar from St Pancras train station takes around an hour and a half. And then your in a different country. I live about an hour and a half away from London so I'm in London fairly often. There's some good off the beaten touristy bits to see. Have fun in the UK (:
I do have a question btw, how does the teaching methods differ from what you experienced in the US. I know you can't compare on the grad school level but are the professors tougher, is the educational environment more/less/on par rigorous, etc. Thanks!

I’m British ..London born and raised but I feel like I want to live somewhere else I want to move to America but I’m skeptical about it especially because I have a 2 year old So many Americans are moving to London and they love it ...I wonder if I’d love America 😅🤦🏽♀️
Welcome to the UK MY LOVE. ENJOY IT AND MAKE LOTS OF FRIENDS. MAKE IT AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET. COME AND CHILL OUT WITH ME, I LIVE IN HACKNEY
Hi - I've recently come across your channel and would love to connect with you to discuss studying in the UK. I moved to Montreal to pursue a MA program and needless to say it didn't go well at all. I'm interested in trying again in the UK but am a bit nervous and not sure how the MA's work there. I'm enjoying your channel very much and I hope that you're enjoying your time there!
I'm a planner also. This video was very helpful and I'm so glad you took the risk. The whole vive is mellow. Also your channel is going #100KAnyDay keep up the great work💜
I always find the cost of bottled water a good measure for how expensive a place is going to be. For example in NZ it's about £2, Vietnam 5p, Jordan 70p and the UK about £1.
The transport is so expensive in London 😫 Rent and housing in general is sooo expensive :( groceries are expensive here compared to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and Greece but like you said we don’t have GMO food plus there are cheap supermarkets like Aldi and Iceland
Hey Paige! I am actually considering doing the exact same program as you at the same school! You are so inspiring, my question is do you ever feel too old to be back in college? I'm 27 (I'll be 28 when doing the program) will I be the oldest person?? Thanks!
I really liked this video and appreciated your answers! Can you do more videos on you being a 20 something, idk if you're single woman in London and like learning more about your self and doing more for yourself
Welcome to London! It really is an amazing city. I am on My own weight loss journey (Very loooonnnngggg journey). You should come to my gym it's across the river from Greenwich!

I’m British ..London born and raised but I feel like I want to live somewhere else I want to move to America but I’m skeptical about it especially because I have a 2 year old
So many Americans are moving to London and they love it ...I wonder if I’d love America 😅🤦🏽♀️
Welcome to the UK MY LOVE. ENJOY IT AND MAKE LOTS OF FRIENDS. MAKE IT AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET. COME AND CHILL OUT WITH ME, I LIVE IN HACKNEY
Thank you. Great video and informative
I went to grad school in London too (I'm American) and it was the best time of my life!
Love it!!
I'm a planner also. This video was very helpful and I'm so glad you took the risk. The whole vive is mellow. Also your channel is going #100KAnyDay keep up the great work💜
thank you sooo much!! means a lot 💖
Next year i will be in London finger cross 💚
I always find the cost of bottled water a good measure for how expensive a place is going to be. For example in NZ it's about £2, Vietnam 5p, Jordan 70p and the UK about £1.
You can get bottled water in British supermarkets for 25-30p.
The transport is so expensive in London 😫
Rent and housing in general is sooo expensive :(
groceries are expensive here compared to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and Greece but like you said we don’t have GMO food plus there are cheap supermarkets like Aldi and Iceland
I’m always asking my British friend to repeat himself 😅 I love the way he speaks, though.
See, I’m finding these videos interesting keep it up! Xx
yayyy thanks!
Hey Paige! I am actually considering doing the exact same program as you at the same school! You are so inspiring, my question is do you ever feel too old to be back in college? I'm 27 (I'll be 28 when doing the program) will I be the oldest person?? Thanks!
notifications on!!!! ready for this room tour omg
I love your positive energy you just helped me through my day ❤❤

I really liked this video and appreciated your answers! Can you do more videos on you being a 20 something, idk if you're single woman in London and like learning more about your self and doing more for yourself
