My home patch leytonstone
Some very familiar scenes here
And it wasn't too long before it was changed dramaticaly with the A12 link road....
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus and I was around and saw the road being built - used to live along Grove green road until 1990
I remember walking along grove green road in the late 60s going to school , they had already started to empty the houses then x
The purbani !
Still going strong 33 years later
Takes me back to when lived in Wanstead. 148 to Ilford and 162 to West Ham. Thanks.
Great video! 👏🏻👏🏻👍 loved the Titans.
Yes, i think they are a great bus! They were better to drive than a Metrobus as well....
Nice variety in this one
Thanks Peter....for once i filmed more than just LT vehicles! I wish i had done that more......
🚒 Fire engine bonus at end! 🎈
Yes, as my mate had me chasing about filming them over the years i thought i'd catch it passing by!
The 148 Dagenham/Leytonstone was one of my local routes. Used to see the 66 in Romford. Your talking about good old RT days
I remember RTs on the 148s although the 66s were SMS. Happily Seven Kings was too small to take any vehicle bigger than an RT until the garage was rebuilt in 1977 so there were lots of RTs to see in Ilford.......happy days!
the best summer of my life
My two favourite buses 👍
Great video again, Soi. AP and U garages codes now history. [I think U has been demoilished for housing now, think I'll go and have a look.
Yes Upton park has gone, you can see it on Google Maps street view. Look at Priory Road......
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus oh right...thanks. Poplar is now looking extremely vulnerable, in a sea of planned waterside development. The Redclyffe Road address was used on all the Stagecoach Olympic fleet not that any of them were based there.
@@ccjelley2390 Probaly some sort of separate company affair set up for that operation....Shame about Poplar, i remember being there for 3 days on my Bus Mechanics School course doing a Titan gearbox change!
Great vid also nice to see pre swampy tied to the trees 😂 was McDonald’s on the high road then ?
If you mean the drive through one just past the Green Man, then no i don't think it had opened then.
That one at 1:20 was a 10? or was the blind just incorrectly set?🤔
The 10s had stopped running this far out by then (originally went to Woodford Wells), it was route 101.....
Is that really 89, looks older? Good vid.
Honestly, the cars and Titan buses don't look much different to when I was in London 10 years later.
What station was that at the very end?
Queens Park.......that is a shot i upload at the end of each film to put the end cards over rather than ruin the end of the vid.......the (de)parting shot as it were.......
The 162 bus route no longer exists.
Well, not in East London but it still runs in the Bromley area.
Your channel name is a area in Pattaya Thailand 🇹🇭
Get some footage from there at night and you’ll get tons of views ;)
From west London
Yes, i have walked and rode on Bhat buses along Soi Buakhao many times.....when i wanted a quirky YT name it seemed like a good one to use.....
Born and bred in Leytonstone and it’s funny seeing the Green man roundabout back then !
I remember it like that although the RT & SMS buses are missing......
Me too born and bred I’m 65 now
