INCREDIBLE Airbus A380 CLOSE UP Takeoff & Landing | Qantas | Melbourne Airport Plane Spotting
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- Melbourne Airport is a main hub for Qantas and have 3 of 12 A380s currently based there. The Los Angeles A380 service is by far the most popular flight by travelers and plane spotters alike. The flight arrives early in the morning and after a quick, 2 and a half hour turn around, it is back off to Los Angeles! Here's my video that I filmed on this popular aircraft, from a couple of different angles available to film from around the perimeter of Melbourne Airport!
The arrival was captured from the top level of the T4 carpark. We're then taken to operations road, where we can get right up close to this magnificent aircraft as it powers up and barrels down the runway, I have then set up my camera towards the top of Gellibrand hill to capture the rotation and ascent into the skies, embarking its journey to Los Angeles. All clips were filmed at around a 600mm focal length for an extra up close and personal feel!

The Wright Brothers could have never even dreamt of this.
Isn;t something like this the Wright brothers have dreamt of?
@@dihydrogenmonoxide9210 what kind of crazy in the early 20th century wouldve dreamt of the world today?
@@StreetDrilla People today wish for time-travel etc so..........
so before wright brothers how human flying
@@dihydrogenmonoxide9210 How? There was nothing around then, more like they saw the birds and thought wouldn't it be great to be able to do that.
Of course, everyone appreciates the masterpiece of a plane that humans have built, but there is no way I’d be able to appreciate it to such an extent without the beautiful camerawork of the videographer. Absolutely stunning skills reflected in this video.
I can watch them takeoff and land one thousand times. Its always pure awe. I will sorely miss the a380 when it's short-lived existence comes to an end. What an absolutely amazing sight to see and marvel of engineering! And the pros that fly it.. top notch. Its all top notch people at the pinnacle of their professions.. my complete admiration and respect.
BA reactivated them and in fact I saw one touchdown in Miami !
@@savp199524 that's incredible..... One touch down is awesome to see.....
Saw a British airways one pushing back when I was at Chicago
Can't imagine something so massive as this not only flying, but travelling thousands of miles non stop with hundred thousands of tonnes of loads airborne at breathtaking speed. This is one of the wonders of modern world and indeed the height of human technological advancement!!!!
Who ever took the video of the A380 taking off did an amazing job. Great camera skills!
Yes you are right. If I didn't know any better I would say that everything after 4 minutes looks fake. It's so steady
yeah,amazing video :)
Its CG computer graphics
This isnt real
@@stephenpersic3331 wtf are you on 'bout?
stephen persic It’s real
The last one taking off....absolutely stunning cinematography. Being able to hear the engines in the background was amazing.
I am from Bangladesh, rode this from Melbourne to Dubai ... one of the most comfortable journey I can remember back in 2014. :)
The a380 is what made me become fascinated by planes. One night, my sister suddenly asked if I wanted to go watch ‘one of the big planes’ take off. So I said sure (thinking ‘how big can this plane be??’) and we ended up stood in a layby at the end of the gatwick runway and watched one take off and it went right over my head. All the other planes were already way up high by the time they passed above me, but the size of the a380 meant it felt almost like I could reach up and touch it as they take so much longer to climb. It breaks my little heart to see them being scrapped when they really are some of the best planes in the sky
They aren't the best planes I'm the sky. Way too expensive and inefficient
A380 is such a beautiful airplane, but that Qantas color puts the icing on the cake.😊
Very big and very beautiful aircraft. An engineering marvel. Wow!
Definitely😀
It just blows my mind that something so massive can fly, truly a spectacular sight.
I always think about the same thing and it gives me anxiety haha
Shows how powerful those engines are
This is nothing compared to the Antonov 225, check it out.
@@randomsanwhich2 yep, my 6 yr old son literally freaked out over the Antonov. Just awesome.
randomsanwhich an 225 is Ukrainian aircraft, 10 meters longer than a380, but a380 is a little higher, they are almost the same size
It's a religious experience watching these awesome aircraft reach into the sky and return. The music is well suited to it. Thanks for posting the videos.
Looks like a big flying dolphin 🐬
Planes are model after birds so its a big giant pigeon
Gomez Miguel and so are dolphins. They are strong and cool animals. Never say that again.
Look up the Beluga XL
@@Space_Man909 looks like a dolphin.
No its a big whale
In my opinion A380 is one of the most beautiful and imposing planes in the world !! When it comes to commercial aircraft nothing compares to it. I'm in love with this giant !! And he is even more beautiful on the flags of Emirates and Qatar
A380 is the King of Skies
The 380 ... is not just an airplane; it is a steel bird of prey, which when it takes flight, is like a symphony when starting its engines. And when it finally reaches the sky, it is like the highest note of a Symphony that takes everything around you. The most beautiful steel bird ever
This video made me cry. I would love to go back in time, bring Sir Issac Newton to our future to show him what he has helped us, as humans, achieve.
This is beauty.
Yesmer 🤣
cry??????
I know that this is all top engineering and physics, but to me watching these huge birds fly seems like pure magic.
Aviation is art
Well, it's actually engineering... which engineers consider to be art 😉
Indeed.
@@mdalamgirhussain7917 not suprised it came from some kid named boeing master

The best flights of my life were on the A380, Sydney to Los Angeles, and the coming home. Best take off....that one in this vid was airborn in 1 minute....suddenly you are up there! it's astonishing the power it has. Then landing....so unbelievably smooth and quick! Love these. aircraft. All praise to God for the mastery of these pilots.
The mere fact that this thing can fly, amazes me. Engineering at its best👌
we'll be leaving Glasgow this Friday for Cairns, we'll be flying into Melbourne from Dubai on Emirates A380 cant wait ✈🇦🇪🇦🇺
spectacular landing and takeoff, passengers, sure they feel in the clouds, literal ... thanks to whom, to the pilots. They do their job excellently !!!
I keep on coming back to this Qantas A380 take off…..just stunning…and the purr! Have flown the A380 three times and the best plane I’ve been on by far.
One of the most amazing things I've seen. I can't get my head around it that a plane so large can get off the ground
The Airbus A380 in its Glory, Splendour and Prestige.
That was so good I had to watch it twice! I'm really digging Qantas new livery. Great work. 😃
how did the camera man zoom in so well when the plane took off? lmao
how is that even possible. its crystal clear quality.
I’m a 747 fanboy but you can’t deny the beauty shown in this video
Does anyone love an #A380 like me?
Jonathan Blessing yes I do
Yes I do and probably even more.😂 it’s so majestic. Ain’t it?😊
P F yes It is✌🏽️
I am sad that A380 production will be ceased. No other airplane provides such comfort to the passangers
Here Here :)
Just awesome airline. It's a dream to ride the airbus of 800 passengers😍😍
Now that's a butter landing
Excellent A380 plane spotting.
Great camera work, nicely edited and crisp resolution. A joy to watch. Thanks.
I agree, that take-off was the best shot takeoff I have ever seen. I watched it several times. Airbus should be using that in their sales materials.
Mind blowing stabilization of camera
I’ve always been obsessed with airplane dang that thang looks beautiful 🤩
The takeoff and taxing part is extremely sexy!!!
Watching that monster take off is the coolest thing I've ever seen. It's a bucket list for me to fly in that 1 day
The queen of the sky ❤️
Mind blowing.
No matter how many times you watch these monsters climb into the sky.
Love the take off via by Quantas A380 Airbus. Beautiful & fantastic too.

Levitating. Not taking off. Helium, my friend. Helium does that.
Excellent footage of an immaculately clean aircraft.
I'm so in love with that New livery Qantas has

The A380 is just an awesome airplane ✈️
Has anybody seen a more beautiful landing?
Thank autopilot.
YESSSSS,REALLY BEAUTIFUL !!!!!
Beautiful landing indeed.

@ Truthfears that really hurt, ouch 😲
Glad some airlines are getting these giants back into the service.
Absolutely incredible! I’m watching it, but it’s just a bit hard to believe! It’s almost frightening as to what the human mind can do. 🙏🏼

Nice camera work ❤❤🎉🎉 super flying
Very good camera work-great stuff.
She's a beauty...fantastic video 🛫🛬
A 12 second flare before the front gear hits the ground after the back gear does...amazing!
absolutely loving Qantas new spin on their design, not much but its a unique update. The red on the tail feels more smooth, the new font they're using. Feels more updated. And the red kangaroos on the engines, MUAHHH!!! Thats the best part about the whole livery. And the giant Qantas text on the belly and that little red kangaroo below the cockpit windshield. Perfection!!
Now just waiting for Lufthansa to update theirs.
Excellent job...............!
Perfect video, but 4 : 47 minutes only : it's possible to watch 24 hours, this is a masterpiece on the verge of impossible !
Jewelry job : it's impossible to close eyes.
Love the latest Qantas font and livery.
That pilot buttered that very well
The A380 was my favorite plane, my heart broke just a little when I heard that it'd be discontinued.
why
@@subhalaxmibanerjee1861 Because I knew I'd never get the chance to fly on it or see it while plane spotting (I'm unable to travel to airports that still land the plane)
cinemascope made it like watching movie. what a perfect capture of the entire plane. nice work.
This would have to be one of the best video filming I’ve seen, so precise and on point, congratulations
Love this! Any idea of how many passengers and crew were aboard? I heard that Qantas Flight 1 is flown on an Airbus A380.
That thing is a beast. Perfect landing and take off.
What a pleasure watching that beast👍👍👍👍👍
Nicely Captured Guys, Hats Off !
I just love how these planes look and designed........
Great job!! 👍
Cheers!
If only the Wright brothers would’ve seen that awesome take off!
Just INCREDIBLE landing and takeoff
Everything is possible. Just dream. Marvelous
What a perfect camera tracking! Instead of shaking...
Amazing aircraft I’ve flown on the Airbus 380 and this was a very good video thank you from NZ😊😊😊😊😊😊
Good camerawork and great editing, not a second wasted.
The spirit of Qantas
Australia, the spirit of qantas.
The most Beautiful airplane built.
I remember pulling into LAX from Denver and seeing one those for the first time. It was massive !!!!! So dope. It’s crazy what humans can do
Beautiful work so professional...love the take off and wheels being retracted, so crystal clear...thanks for sharing
Smoothest takeoff ever
Superb video!!
nice catch man.....like it
Why is close ups is so relaxing to watch
It's them enormous wings that blows my mind . The 2 engines weigh tonnes, the wing itself weighs tonnes , the fuel inside weighs tonnes and the whole thing is held together on the fuselage by bolts
Yes, I've often thought it would be stronger to build the wings in one piece and have them running right through, instead of building them separately and bolting them together in the wingbox. I guess there are technical reasons . . .
Quality cinematography 🎥
Nice video!
As always videos by pros-great work guys
FANTASTIC !
Thank you!
Incredible footage thanks for sharing
Wow, just wow! Totally amazing 👍
Nice shots of the takeoff, I could even see the individual trails of heat from each engine.
Amazing what 102 years of technology can make
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Did anyone expect that even such a huge machine can fly in air ????
Hatsoff Wright brothers....
Absolutely, outstanding filming!@
So smooth and close ups are an added bonus
Nice flight
Awesome aircraft A380.
Sight for sore eyes....great vid
AMAZING camerawork
Thanks to whoever made this. Beautiful stuff.
Happy journey this Air 7879 Qantas.
Amazing photography!
Very smooth landing
The Flying Whale looks great in both QANTAS liveries
3:40 - 4:20 Be edition or not, tracking is majestic!!!
Nothing will ever beat the 747 in looks.!
