This singer does one of the better covers that I have heard, but his interpretation of the lyrics/the love experience lacks the experiential insight and tonality of Donny Hathaway's masterful singing. Much less Ray Charles' experiential insight and tonality. Both Charles and Hathaway are veteran eulipions of the Soul tradition of singing.

Never compared a Master like Ray Charles to anyone. .this Guy is brillant but all off the legend soul Master from Motown are absoluttely out off this world. .All green. .Marvin gay. .Georges benson al jaihro. Stevie Wonder. .Nina Simone. ..big artists with vocal identity. .something rarely today. .

Respect of course, guy can sing. Just not to my taste. Too much screaming and voice power show off. Just a personal opinion, this does not do justice to the song. To me it's not about what you can do with your voice only...it's what you do with it.
