Both Sides is back for Season 2! We brought in Dindo and Kathleen to tell both sides of their love story. They each tell their unique perspectives on their relationship, overcoming the stigma of cruise-ship romances, and the sacrifices they have made for each other.

Every time I watch a video from this segment I think to myself how amazing it would be to record my own personal relationship story with my partner, but I always end up crying so much watching other people’s stories that I don’t know if I could even get through my own, haha. They are always so beautiful, no matter how complex or simple. The feeling of pure love is just so evident within the couples that it fills my heart with joy. Please, keep it up ya’ll! This is my favorite series of the channel 😍

Messofanego I love this narrative, but would he have done that for a woman who also came from a developing country like the Philippines??? He married waaaaaaay up. So, he gained wasaaaaay more than he lost!!!! If he stayed in the Philippines, with his mother and father, he would not have the opportunities that he does in the United States......they are crying about not having his family at the wedding???? Quit whining and go back there and have another wedding.

This reminds me of my story a little. I married my husband in September. He was deported a week later. I had only been with him for 6 months but we knew we were meant to be with each other and I had to marry him. I could not fathom a world where we were not one. He's in his home country now and we are dealing with lawyers (it was a lawyer's mistake that got him deported in the first place) and I definitely vibed with this couple's story.
This is why it's so scary to think that when you take that jump, you've chosen the wrong partner...or your partner chose you and turns out later on that you weren't the right one for her/him. I'm happy for these two. Not only because I'm a Filipino myself but this you can see that this is really true and real. Money is not as important as love and relationship.

This reminds me of my wife and me back in the days. Me being 26 years old I can't accept reality then no matter what I do she'll never come back she passed away last year due to pulmonary hypertension and every day it's just another struggle have to deal with not having the person you used to have me by your side...

I think about love being difficult to find frequently. Not random relationships but real love. Seeing this makes me feel like there is hope, even if it's actually difficult to find "the person", idk if hope for me or for others, but there's still real love somewhere

i've watched a bunch of these, but idk why, this one is really special to me and made me emotional.
Aaanannd people said true love doesn't exist..this couple prove them wrong.
My parents also met in a cruise ship! My father worked there (and still works in the same company) and my mother was having a cruise for coincidence (one of her friends broke her leg 2 days before the departure and gave her the cruise for free since she wouldn't have been able to embark that way) so they met, fell in love after only a few days and started writing and calling each other, my mom being from Brazil and my father from Italy, and now they are happily married and have me and my brother

My boyfriend and I are a ship couple, met in Australian waters to find out we only live an hour away from each other in the UK... you could call that fate. Ship romances are something else, watching this gave me hope for the future long distance relationship that is to come. Thank you.
my friend's (half filipina) parents met on a cruise ship too.
The mom was on a vacay with her rich white fam and the dad was working I believe (or vacay) and they met on the cruise and fell in love.
My friend is gorgeous and was even in a big hollywood movie as a child (cabin in the woods)

I believe myself to be a strong candidate for season 3, lolz:) But forreal, my life was distinctly altered by my friendship group (we call ourselves the Felicias, both junior and senior;) ) and I can't stop talking to others about how these women have shaped me, even when I haven't spoken with them in a month or so. I have been changed for the better and somehow I'm able to pattern myself after that insane love that was shown to me and gift it to others. Honestly, it's the best example of the boomerang effect I can imagine.

I absolutely love these videos so much, because you can always feel the love between the two individuals. My husband and I have a love story worth sharing. We survived 2 years long distance, then lived together for 2 years, and finally got married after 5 years of dating. We will hit 1 yr of marriage next month. :) Not only was long distance hard, but also stuck through military (he served and now i serve). There's a reason why divorce rates are so high in the military, but my love and i stayed committed to one another. I cant wait till we can bring nerdy babies into our lives and shower them with just as much love.🖤

My story involves lechon(hog roast) for an open house that I didn’t deliver to because I just got back from freshman orientation. My parents told me there’s a girl your age and you would meet halfway to pick it up. Little did I know it was the same girl who asked me if I was Filipino at orientation. We ran into each other throughout campus trading glances. Until I caught the elevator from a downpour and suddenly enough she was right there next to me.
