  • The jump from med student to resident is a big one. I'm here to share the key lessons I learned during my intern year to help you hit the ground running and thrive. Entering intern year can be equal parts exciting and terrifying. The textbook knowledge you've spent years acquiring is about to be put to the test, and suddenly you're the one making critical decisions for real patients.
Remember, medicine is a team sport. This video will help you build strong, collaborative relationships with your attendings, nurses, and fellow residents. You'll learn how to communicate effectively, ask for help when needed, and build a supportive "medical village" that will empower you throughout your intern year. Most importantly, you'll gain the confidence to advocate for yourself and your patients. We'll cover how to effectively communicate your needs, ensure you're getting adequate supervision and learning opportunities, and most importantly, make sure your patients' voices are heard.
This video goes beyond just survival. Packed with bonus tips on staying healthy, managing stress, and even sneaking in some sleep during those crazy intern year nights, you'll be well-equipped to not just survive, but thrive during this crucial and rewarding year in your medical journey.
    In this video, I'll cover:
Essential skills every intern should develop
    - Time management strategies for surviving long shifts and heavy workloads
    - Building strong relationships with attendings, nurses, and other residents
    - How to advocate for yourself and your patients
    - Plus, bonus tips on staying healthy and avoiding burnout

Do you still use Anki for studying?

Yes, I use anki to most "save" notes. I don't usually do Anki all that much, but I do use it as a way to continue to amass my knowledge so I can refer to it when I have questions about specific topics (pancreatitis, hypercarbia, etc.). See here for some more insights, but I can make another video on this if that would be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/Uaz-9bpcBnw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=PrerakJuthani
