God, this reminds me of the time I got the high score of Frogger in the pizzeria near my house, and then ended up fighting aliens in an interstellar war. Really takes me back...
3:41 & 8:48 I LOST it! 😂😂😂 Dude, I still love this movie. It’s just so damn fun, and I remember how the CG BLEW me away. The effort the animators has to endure using _military supercomputers_ and draw EVERYTHING by hand, connecting all the polygons together for a 3D format after, then texture mapping, & lighting effects was no easy task. I love old school CG, it just has a charming feel to it like Stop Animation. Alex’s subtle but relatable “WTF” reactions always cracked me up, too. Beta was my favorite, though. I love that scene where he’s trying to woo Maggie when he unsuccessfully makes out with her by repeating what that jerk in the cowboy hat said to his slutty girlfriend, and Maggie’s reaction was priceless. 😂 Great review, Bee!
I can't understand how this guy has so little subscribers, it's absolutely ridiculously ridiculous. Honestly I remember watching this movie a couple of years ago, I had never heard of it until then and I watched it with my friends, I barely remember much of it but I do remember that I loved it, I'm glad this review came because I had almost forgotten about the movie until I saw this review and I'm glad I get to relive such fun and ridiculous experiences.
I actually watched this video a couple times back when I found the channel and started binging content, but I forgot to comment. I LOVED this movie as a kid, and I love that your channel covers this. The Last Starfighter, Round Thing, Splice, Starship Troopers... All these older, or otherwise more obscure, movies that I enjoy. And it's really cool to see that others enjoyed them too, and add on that the NewBee style narration and commentary just amps the whole experience to eleven and a half. All Glory to the Bee.
*"That man over there is playing Galaga. He thought we wouldn't notice, but we did."* - Tony Stark, Avengers 2012. Also, Death Blossom sounds like an all girls Metal Band.
Centauri sounds like a slick salesman because the actor, Robert Preston, based his charactor off of the con man Harold Hill whom he played in The Music Man. A movie I also love!
It took me a while to get used to Professor Harold Hill being an alien. When he said that he sounded like a salesman, I died laughing...I don't think he knows...
I am excited you got around to making this one. I love your work and knew you would have a good go at this one. This is why I am surprised you don't have more subs. I am telling all of my friends about you!
I'm a button masher. I mash and eventually learn the buttons with muscle memory. I never have to look at the controller. And no one should sit next to me if I am playing Skyrim.... I swing my arms as I use a battle axe.
I haven't seen the full video yet and I'm already too excited. Awesome movie from my childhood and with an amazing soundtrack that I still hum to this day. Love it!
Jack Simon in fact I think the Mona Lisa wouldn’t be anything special if it were cg and the effects in this are interesting for their time but imagine this concept with modern effects or even just touched up it could be cool
On the subject of Toshi station...was it really such a big deal to go pick up some power converters, or just a chance for Luke to get off the moisture farm for a few hours? Life on Tatooine has got to be pretty dull...
Robert Preston and Dan O'Herlihy were great in this movie. Derivative yet original in its own way. Norman Snow even manages to make the 2-d villain an enjoyable watch.
The main theme reminds me of my childhood. Which is hilarious cause as a kid I may have only watched it a handful of times. I was actually kinda creeped out by it as a kid. But growing up I grew to appreciate it more and love it so much. Yeah it might be a Star Wars clone but it’s a damn good one for sure. I love Star Wars and Tron and this is almost like that beautiful in between forgotten gem.
This is the first time I’m seeing these images since I watched this as a kid... loved it back then!!! I forgot most of the random plot, other than it being a video game come to life! 😂
If there's ever a sequel and Xur is in it, he'd be a fugitive from both the Star League and the KoDan Empire. Keep in mind the KoDan invested lots of valuable combat resources into that invasion, an invasion Xur no doubt assured the emperor was going to be a success. Instead, all those ships and pilots got blown up and Xur was the only one to get away in an escape pod. If he were to go back to the KoDan, he would be in the unenviable position of having to give accounts to the emperor as to why things didn't go according to plan. That doesn't typically end well.
I imagine when he said there’s probably a world where a plumber is killing turtles I now imagine a random plumber that was immune to these poisonous turtles that have killed all other humans other than peach but he has to kill all the turtles in his path haha, but I imagine getting teleported next to him and him being like “finally someone to help, here grab this and start killing turtles” *hands me a hammer* “idk if I can do that” omg is that blood on this!? “Yea just do it see?” *starts smashing a random turtles in a herd* *i step back in horror and beg to just go home*
Funny story, in college i was playing sf2 with my friend and i read just mashing buttons - with my eyes closed too - and i read beating him. A one time fluke, never worked again
lol - it used to piss me off playing sf1 little kis just smashing like crazy... and beating me. I am a new subscriber, binge watching all your stuff - great work
„So when he beats the record, the whole trailer park comes out to watch. Aliens start shooting and everyone is like, „Keep it down out there!“ 😂 My favorite line from all of your reviews, closely followed by „If you want to see people get eaten by salad, watch The Ruins.“ 🤣
In my opinion the best "video game movie" ever made is Edge of Tomorrow. Although it's not based on a game, it perfectly captures the feeling of trying over and over again until you get it right. It's one of my favorite sci fi movies.
God, this reminds me of the time I got the high score of Frogger in the pizzeria near my house, and then ended up fighting aliens in an interstellar war. Really takes me back...
"What do we do now?"
"We die!"
I love this movie!!
Captain going down with the ship. I always loved that line.
3:41 & 8:48 I LOST it! 😂😂😂

Great review, Bee!
Seriously underrated
The scene where he's finally about to beat the arcade game and the whole town gathers to watch is my favorite LOL.
I can't understand how this guy has so little subscribers, it's absolutely ridiculously ridiculous.

This was one of my favourite movie when i was a kid.

Great.

Charlotte Faraci Faraci And this was Preston’s last movie. So glad he did it.
I fuckin loved this movie as a kid! I'm excited to revisit it in this review
The cat cameo at the end is the best :)
The "play me like...." line....best laugh all week. And the reason I subbed.
One of the many movies I'd watch with my mom all the time. The android still creeps me out.
@3:00 is it ok if I adopt you as my funny internet uncle? Wait wait that doesn't read very well. Um... I like your dad jokes never change!
Alex & Beta at the same time: "Go back to sleep Louis or I'm telling mom about your playboys!"
It took me a while to get used to Professor Harold Hill being an alien. When he said that he sounded like a salesman, I died laughing...I don't think he knows...

That’s terrible-
Dude my movie reviews are always about this classic movie. Nice work!
Love the channel!!!
I loved this movie. I used to play starfox64 and wished I ended up like my boy here. Lol
Never heard of this movie, thank you
Yes
Would love to see a reboot/remake.
I haven't seen the full video yet and I'm already too excited. Awesome movie from my childhood and with an amazing soundtrack that I still hum to this day. Love it!
This was one of my mom's favorite movies! I remember watching it with her on the weekends as a kid. We still have the VHS.
I loved this movie when I first saw it, and every time since then
This movie would be badass if someone redid the cgi with modern computers
Jack Simon that’s an interesting thought
Jack Simon in fact I think the Mona Lisa wouldn’t be anything special if it were cg and the effects in this are interesting for their time but imagine this concept with modern effects or even just touched up it could be cool
Jack Simon that’s sounds like it would be good
I was twenty when this film came out and I loved it, In fact I took a line from this film that I still use today, Ah crap'ola.
On the subject of Toshi station...was it really such a big deal to go pick up some power converters, or just a chance for Luke to get off the moisture farm for a few hours? Life on Tatooine has got to be pretty dull...

😯😊😊😊👍👍
Is there a movie based on the Centipede video game ?
If I could live in Hyrule!!! Maybe if Elite Dangerous was real I'd be down for that too! Great video as always
Elite Dangerous would be quite the game-world to live in.
love this movie. and I'm enjoying your reviews
Robert Preston and Dan O'Herlihy were great in this movie. Derivative yet original in its own way. Norman Snow even manages to make the 2-d villain an enjoyable watch.
one of my all time faves!!! Thanks for doing this one!!!!!
The main theme reminds me of my childhood. Which is hilarious cause as a kid I may have only watched it a handful of times. I was actually kinda creeped out by it as a kid. For some reason, I didn't realize that Gul Dukat was in this. I have seen it so many times.
Looks like used left over costumes from movie Enemy Mine
"Get in the GunStar, Alex..." Centauri
"I mustn't run away..." Alex
I’ve loved this movie for sooooo many years(I still have the original VHS)🏴
This is the first time I’m seeing these images since I watched this as a kid... loved it back then!!! I forgot most of the random plot, other than it being a video game come to life! 😂

Lance Guest looks somewhat like Rob Morrow (at times). Great review! Campy movie.
Just bought a blu-ray of this film. Will have to watch it now and come back for the review!
"Less Starfighter, more Pack- man" Lol
Cool review
I use to watch this movie on HBO all the time growing up looking back now, it's so 80s.
“Yea just do it see?” *starts smashing a random turtles in a herd*
*i step back in horror and beg to just go home*
i thought this movie was a fever dream because i played Mario that one time- also love ya video's
Smashing buttons and it works? - Did you ever play Street Fighter 1?
Love your videos on movies from my childhood
Funny story, in college i was playing sf2 with my friend and i read just mashing buttons - with my eyes closed too - and i read beating him. A one time fluke, never worked again
lol - it used to piss me off playing sf1 little kis just smashing like crazy... and beating me. I am a new subscriber, binge watching all your stuff - great work
Ha ha like the movie "Teeth" reference lolz 👍
„So when he beats the record, the whole trailer park comes out to watch. Aliens start shooting and everyone is like, „Keep it down out there!“ 😂 My favorite line from all of your reviews, closely followed by „If you want to see people get eaten by salad, watch The Ruins.“ 🤣
don't they look a bit like minbari? or minbari - like them
Minbari is an anagram of minibar.
🌈---The more you know
Alright is that the same costume as the brown lizard dude from Enemy of Mine
They look very similar, don't they?
I used yto love this movie . will search for the blue ray.
One of my favorite space ships is the Guns Star. Better than x wing or the empire solar panel things..
A bad Star Wars movie? 10/10 going to watch it.
Loved this movie as a kid. Watching as an adult it seemed so cheesy but still fun.
A big heads up 😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha you comments are so funny. I really hope there is no plumber how beat turtles to death with a hammer 🤣🤣🤣
lol Death Blossom...Reaper much.
Death Blossom = All Girl Metal Band
Awesome film..me n my brothrr love it..especially the poo co-pilot...
In my opinion the best "video game movie" ever made is Edge of Tomorrow. Although it's not based on a game, it perfectly captures the feeling of trying over and over again until you get it right. It's one of my favorite sci fi movies.
I'm waiting for a Groundhog Day video game
The concept of Edge of Tomorrow is basically "Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers".
I'm not quite sure.. Does it still stick out like a fun, cheesy space fantasy? 😜
Great movie.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😲almost had a stroke laughing at this😂🤣😂😣😑😶😑😶😌whew
Mortal Kombat 1 to me is the best Video Game movie adapted...loosely, and Street Fighter...Although a mess I think I have a soft spot for it now
One of my Favorites, Ever. Be more appreciative!
You forgot to say this movie was directed by Michael Myers and stars Laurie Strode's love interest!
Which video game you want to be Real?
My have to be halo because it cool to kill alien, also drive a warthog.
“Return The $$$?!?”-Centauri
Fire the meatball gun!! 😂
My two video games that I would want to be real... Spyro ☺️ and god of war 😟🎮
You know it's a bad movie when you enjoy the review more than the actual movie.
Ok good but Lifefirce!!
Working on it now!
Yaaay!!!
Lol- you missed an edit at the end and say the same line 2x....
Either that or I am having a stroke
I enjoyed the movie but I got real tired of Alex's whining. Like "I was a Teenage Werewolf."
Lol. Power converters.
Hmmm, a game that's real... it's a toss up between Pokémon and Animal Crossing. Because, you know, you actually have to live there!
lawnmower man is a great film.....
And I did
Brave enough? 😏
GTA needs to be real
Dark Souls
The last starfighter has.........
........gone to plaid!!!
Ahhh- SpaceBalls.
The best sci-fi ever made.
