I love Bogi and had the pleasure of working with gaining not only automotive knowledge and skills but also having the amazing experience of working with other like minded women. Girl Gang Garage is amazing!!! Thank you for interviewing her and all the success she’s accomplished. She is such a wonderful role model for all women. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

I am a student in high school and I've decided to start my path towards automotive. Many people have discouraged me saying that I wouldn't be accepted/hired but watching this has encouraged me more to continue on and keep learning and fighting and show that I as a young female can be a mechanic in the future

I can't imagine crying at work (or pretty much anywhere else for that matter). LOL

How come when a woman becomes a mechanic it's praised and everything but when a man's a mechanic it's frowned upon

I am married to a man who was a mechanic for 40 years. I think blue collar jobs, regardless of what they are, are often not perceived to be as valuable as white collar jobs. Which is just sad. Because at the end of the day, every surgeon, lawyer, stock broker, and accountant is going to need their car worked on. We all need each other. And as far as women being praised, it shows we have succeeded at something and entered a field that was previously, for the most part, unavailable to us. Only 3% of mechanics in the US are women. In 40 years, in all the shops where my husband worked, he never worked with a woman mechanic. It is a door that is now open where we are able to express our knowledge and talents. Likewise, 50 years ago we didn't see many male nurses, and now we do.
