Misleading info. At 2:45 it says that non residents are limited to archery and muzzleloaders and cannot get a rifle tag. Although that is true for the mule deer stamp, it is not the case for a non resident whitetail tag.
In synopsis
Non residents can get the following:
Archery whitetail
Muzzleloader whitetail
Firearms whitetail
Archery either species
Muzzleloader either species
Archery antelope
Residents can get the following over the counter tags:
Any season whitetail
Archery either species
Muzzleloader either species
Archery antelope
Elk off fort Riley
Draw only:
Firearms either species
Firearms antelope
Muzzleloader antelope
Elk on fort riley
FYI, they do not charge your card for the non-resident permit unless you draw.
Thank you for sharing this great information God's Blessings I did like your podcast and the hunt it was great
Like to see a gear dump from your hunt God's Blessings
Thank you Perry! We sent your feedback to the content team.💪
Good job
I guess why would any non resident ever want to hunt in Kansas? Thanks for the info for sure just nuts.
What are the laws with hunting a connecting unit to the one you draw ?
Something you should consider as a non resident applying for a mule deer stamp. If you apply for the mule deer stamp and are unsuccessful on the stamp, but draw a whitetail tag, you can have licensing change your tag to a Firearms whitetail tag(before the season starts).
This is because all unit tags come from the same pool. The odds are the same for a rifle, muzzleloader, and an archery tag for your particular unit.
Is this actually true?! 😮 I never even knew this was an option. Thanks
Licensing is a little confusing, Do you need to apply and do a draw if you are hunting private family land if you are a non resident
I called KDWP and purchased a nonresident preference point for the fall of 2024 whitetail deer hunt the first week of April (last week). Do I also need to purchase a general hunting license? The customer rep. at KDWP told me no but everything I read says yes. I don't want to spend another $125 if I do not need to. I am just confused. Curt WhiteTAILS Deer Hunting
So if I can get a nonresident archery antelope tag in Kansas, why is “resident” the only option when I go to select my residency?
I married into money few years ago and the wife's family has 7000 acres of land I WILL be hunting when we move this June, lol.
Well dang good buddy I can't wait to meet you out there... I just forgot we're it is. Just let me and the boys know in the comments
Cale, do you need a brother in law? Or are the wife's sisters lonely? I can be of assistance! God bless you lucky bastard!
Can you buy just a point?
yes
@@noahhorinek If you draw for that hunting season, when can you purchase points again?
@@cooperized60 the very next year. You cannot do it in the same year. All points will be spent if you do draw, so your point balance will return to 0.
Chris Bee ruined Kansas public hunting. There I said it.
I hope Chris Bee is sponsored by Crispi

Hey Jason! Thanks for your feedback. According to Kansas Fish and Game regulations, the non-resident $97.50 license fee is non-refundable. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!
