Tumbling and Washing are the 3rd and 4th steps of 7 it takes to make yarn from raw fiber. In this video, I show you how to how to tumble and hand wash your alpaca fleece.
TUMBLING
• Don’t overfill. Allow the fiber to move freely.
• 20 minutes
WASHING (20-30 minutes each step; same water temperature)
• Step 1: hot water only
• Step 2: hot water + mild soap
• Step 3: hot water only
• Step 4: hot water + white vinegar
