I feel like sometime JBL is quite underrated or under-appreciated when referring to some of the greatest heels to ever do it. Back then, I've always thought he was the perfect image representation of what a heel should be & deserves to be up there with villians like Vince, Edge, Randy, Triple H and so on.

The phrase was used for guys like Jarrett and HHH because they held a position at the top of the card for an unnecessary amount of time without putting many people over. DDP was my favorite in WCW for the exact reasons described here. While many fans' favorites were Sting, Flair, Goldberg or the NWO in mid-late 90's WCW, DDP was my guy. He had great promos, natural charisma, the best finisher in the company and he worked harder than everyone else to pull out great matches in the upper card.

Matt Hardy should be on the list of overachievers. He was often seen as the less interesting part of the Hardy Boyz as his brother Jeff was the high flying daredevil. I think everyone wrote him off as the V1 Matt Hardy and the Never Die Matt Hardy didn’t set the wrestling world on fire. When he became Broken Matt, he not only created a character people adored but he created an entire universe of characters that helped to usher in a more cinematic wrestling product that kept fans interested even when the arenas were shut down due to COVID.

I find that Canadian wrestlers in the US are most prone to doing so much to be successful in the US. It's as if they all have the same mindset of working twice as hard as their American counterparts in order to achieve high levels of success. The latest example is Canadian wrestler Chelsea Green who was recently crowned the first WWE women's US Champion. Man did she bust her hump for this and never appeared discouraged. She just kept on "being extra" week after week until she won a richly deserved main title.

Becky Lynch has gone from her early days as an underachiever to her current status as an overhyped stealer of other women's opportunities. There is a reason that I, and so many others, refer to her as Becky Hogan these days. So many deserving women will never get their full push in WWE if she's always around hogging title opportunities.

JBL was NEVER actually good tho. He's probably one of the guys who got pushed bc they pushed Pat.... Idk... Just a speculation. He did have a job with them as an agent for years. We all know that it's inevitable that some wrestlers got their push & were taken care of after wrestling bc they played the game with Pat (and others). We KNOW that has to be true. JBL was trash in the ring & not great on the mic. Why did he rise to the top?

Rey Mysterio has only won world titles because Eddie Guerrero died. Let’s call it what it is. I like Rey, but the whole royal rumble win and title win was built around “do it for Eddie”

DDP, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, The Miz and definitely Jeff Jarrett shouldnt have been on this list. James Elseworth should have though. A guy who was intended to be a one night only jobber but went on to have a program with the wwe champion. Thats definitely over achieving.
