I am a Mooer Artist, and I have one! I have used it a 4 full gigs and I have to to say it's impressive and badass. Just like anything else take your time, dial in the settings and it's really a jem!
I go Guitar wireless in to direct box! You plug into just like you would an amp or pedal board. The super knob, controls the volume of amp and effects sims. I have the Bluetooth footswitch I use to switch patches i have clean, low drive, mid gain and high gain solo.
My biggest issue with having stuff like this onboard the guitar is there isn't a good way to figure out whether the guitar itself or the presets are what sounds bad if you don't like the tone you're getting. And because the wiring is so much more complex for something like this, I have to imagine swapping pickups isn't a walk in the park, either.
I'd imagine a pickup swap would be no different than any other guitar. The PCB board would be a separate section of the wiring harness. Everything else should be the same. Unless of course the pickups are wired to the board instead of the pots and switch. Then it'd be a damn nightmare.
I bought the Prime P1. Same idea, but I can use with any guitar or bass. The footswitch is very useful to change preset or to use the looper and drums.
To be fair, as guitarists I feel it's time we got our heads out of our own asses. Scratch the "for a beginner" part. Unless you're playing arena shows, this will do you just great for professional live use as well. Nobody in the crowd cares about the minutia of our tone.
The tech looks good, but putting it in the guitar rather than on the pedalboard is a mistake. For my money at least, I'm sure some people will love it. I feel like a guitar can last easily fifty years. App based technology only lasts as long as the app is maintained. If Mooer is no longer able to support the app, for any number of reasons, then your expensive guitar will no longer work.
The irony for me is I now own two Variax guitars. A JTV59 and JTV69. I used to hear that from people constantly yet I'm consistently using them to make money to this day. But... I completely agree with you here. There's a distinct difference between long term useability and short term selling for selling sake
I asked myself all my life why no one had done something like this, well, finally, here it is, it just needs to have integrated speakers to be the most versatile guitar in the world.
It's currently available for less than a squire or Epiphone here in the UK. Hell of a first guitar or home practice tool. I suppose you could always remove the wizardry and configure it as a normal guitar in the future. The white bodied baked maple neck looks gorgeous.
How do you snd out to front of house? Does the neck pocket fit a strat neck either USA MIM or MIJ? If you don’t like the neck profile can you swap the neck?
Just got one (11-21-23) on Amazon, it had a 50% off coupon, so $329 USD +TAX. I have Prime , so free shipping. At that price, I had to give it a try. I'll let you know how it goes, it should be delivered tomorrow.
@@BloodySoup74 well, I really like it and today I ordered the foot switch, since I plan to keep it. I have a ton of other guitars, but I definitely get a lot of use of of this one so far. And I love the Aztec Gold type color of mine. It's a great guitar in itself, but the electronics give it an extra dimension, and it's easy to use!
Meh... i suppose if you're a broker ass kid and don't have a girlfriend to buy your gear, MAYBE. But NOTHING beats a collection of guitars, pedals, and amps.
My friends have called me super knob since the eighties. It's copyrighted.
Thats also what she said
Es un homenaje 😂😂😂

I just bought one on Amazon 50% off! Definitely worth that price.
Can you buy just the effects processor and install it in any guitar?
Great question as I was thinking of getting one
They have the prime s1 effects and It's the effects part of it in Bluetooth controler
Super knob job
I like some of the Mooer analog mini pedal stuff. I have had some of their digital stuff fail after minutes of use.
Pretty nice

If you're DIing straight to your daw pickups won't make a difference that can't be overcome with tweaking
I'm old school (or just old, I admit) so to me it seems like you're playing more with the computer stuff and less the actual guitar.
hay man how'd you get that tone?? (friend answering ) just push the button man. oh wow that's cool...hey what do these other knobs do.......
i'Ll ShOw YoU a SuPeR kNoB!
I am definitely going to put that on the, "next purchase" list 👏👏👏👍
Cool! I just did the Mooer SD30i this week. They make cool stuff!!
How is it? It's tempting as a replacement for my Spark, simply because it has a handful of effects the Spark doesn't have.
I bought the Prime P1. Same idea, but I can use with any guitar or bass. The footswitch is very useful to change preset or to use the looper and drums.
Yeah, cool tech, but for my money it belongs on a pedalboard, not in a guitar.
Got a w800 and I absolutely love it!
For a beginner, even more pro practice convenience tool… wow. Guitar tech advancements are pushing forward strong.
If I had one of these when I started playing almost 30 years ago, I'd be a far better player for sure.

Is 0D really nnamed MORDEN high gain? cuz that's funny

Uuummm yeah I’ll pass
The pickups can be changed?
For the low price of $659, you can buy a guitar that'll be completely obsolete in 10 years. What an amazing innovation! Hard pass

thank god real amps still exist. this sounds awful
I asked myself all my life why no one had done something like this, well, finally, here it is, it just needs to have integrated speakers to be the most versatile guitar in the world.
When i have my 4 presets can i use without opening the app ?
1:17 Sez 'Super Knob' with straight face... Amazing!

This tech in a carbon fibre guitar with Fishman Fluence pups and an Evertune bridge and you get the ultimate modern/futuristic guitar.
Pretty damn cool.
This is honestly pretty incredible. It may not be for me, but I’m definitely glad stuff like this is being done!
Pretty dang cool man. Thanks for pointing this out! Keep up the good work Fluff...
It is cool but when I thought no of Mooer I think made in China and I try really hard not to buy MAC products hard as it is in todays world
I like it 👍🎸
I'm wondering why you reviewed the s800 instead of s900
What a timing, i just had discovered the guitar and now and you post a vid about it! 😂
No longer available on Amazon
you can play it with a good iPhone as the amp??
Wow.
F U T U R E ! ! !
Kept saying “the crux of this…”
Crux also means problem. So to me it came off as, “the problem with this feature is”. Freudian slip?
No crux actually means the "main point" or something similar to that. Check out a dictionary.

Well how is it my friend?
