  • I've realised in my recent photographs that many of them are reflecting the human condition and life lessons back to me. In this video, I share the wisdom of nature that was found when photographing green alkanet leaves.

You always give us things to think about. Such deep thoughts, we quite often hide things and bury them so deep. It's only when listening to others like yourself, gives us time to sort out those past deep memories. Always enjoy your deep talks. Thanks Kim x

This is really good Kim? You added the pure element of Love, the true spirit that rules and govern the universe. The only way this world we live in will ever survive is to embrace the spirit of love also known as the Christ spirit and the God within all the universe. God Bless the God in you. Peace!

That would be interesting to explore Kim - the beauty in blemishes . . . .our own, that we see with others, within nature. What does it mean to love them. Good to think about.

Hi Kim, I don’t know what the plant was before you mentioned it on your video. Your photograph of it transcended the idea that it’s considered a weed by many. The best thing about getting older is the less you worry about what people or social media think about our ageing. I have earned every wrinkle :)

Goodness Kim, you had me welling up today, and that’s a good thing, being open and listening closely. I had just listened to your wonderful podcast with Stephen Hatch, and it felt as though you were looking into my life, it was so intense. I get such a deep connection with nature when I am in the Scottish rainforests where I live. A deep connection with the diversity of life, it is extraordinary. I then came on to listen to this Vlog, and what you say is so deep and personal. The truth is out there they importance of connecting with nature, not as humans having dominion over nature, but learning from it, listening to what the plants and animals are saying to us, allowing ourselves to be taught by nature, that is truly becoming connected. Loving your podcasts and Vlogs, thank you! ❤

your photography ? Maybe you need to get out of your comfort zone
    and explore new fields.

this leaf will be there,,, till the time its meant to be.. with face whatever comes it way from nature.. unconditional love.. or ignorance... its over looking the new growth on top.. and it knows that once this very leaf was the first one, (the white feather ) as it sees the new growth... its proud of it.. have you heard the trees? mountains? the sound of moving tectonic plates.. its all alive. thanks...

As I was growing up I was always in awe of nature. Eventually when I was living in Australia's Northern Territory the beauty of what I saw and started to photograph was partly important in my jpurmey to God.Thanks for sharing.

Totally agreed with your points. I have the feeling that I like the nature more, the behaviour of birds and the changes of wild plants and flowers in nature. And sure it is God's great creations. 😊

hi Kim, thank you for sharing these thoughts with us. What you tell me resonates with me. In this hectic world I sometimes find it difficult to distance myself from the hustle and bustle. Photography can sometimes help me with that. What I often encounter is that I don't have enough 24 hours a day. Photography then has to take a back seat. Connecting with nature through photography then goes with ups and downs for me. But I am increasingly discovering and appreciating the beauty of the things in nature around me 😊

i feel this is what a lot of us angelic photographers are feeling lately in this Aquarius age, full of love emotion and messages and lessons in nature. We feel oneness with nature more and more each day as we become more and more awaken each day little by little. i often feel overcome by beauty of nature especially by flowers insects and animals, birds. often times i become so overcome by the love connection i feel that i start talking to them as one would talk to there pet or bay that cant talk but you know you are connecting with them deeply on an emotional and maybe even on an telepathic level. i often feel the insects and animals can read my mind and they pose especially for me for great photos. they are not spooked by me and stay with me as long as i need them to, i feel i am getting closer and closer to them each year.

Hi Kim, it's 2.14 am and I've just finished watching your video. They say it is an age thing, this not needing sleep so much and perhaps there is an element of truth in that. I'll be 71 in July, but sleep has been a problem for me for many years, so I read and I think and in time sleep catches up. I'm so glad that sleep didn't catch me up yet or I may have missed watching your video, Kim, at this time of the morning. For me, and I think possibly for many, it is the wee small hours when there is that increased clarity in our thoughts and our imaginings and reasonings are heightened. Your words meant a lot Kim and I looked at my wrinkled hands and the thinning of the skin. On my left hand I have two scars, one that I have had since I was at primary school and the other a few years later from Scout camp; I still remember where both scars came from. But all around are the wrinkles and the loose skin. My body is aging, but not my mind, I feel I am still the same person, perhaps a little wiser for the years though - I hope. I see through the same eyes, but I find that the world sees me as an old man and I'm slowly backing away from it and drawing closer to the natural world which is a more peaceful place for me. I'm out with my camera almost every day and I photograph whatever thrills me and I feel happy from each experience and the knowledge that I have images captured. None of them are earth shattering and not meant to be. Each is a moment, at a particular place, at a particular time - frozen in time, ageless - and that is so special. A photograph of a single lilly pad, with fallen blossom and a little pool of water - so simple, but so beautiful. Or a cluster of dandelion seeds stretched like a carpet between two leaves; it quivers in a gentle breeze and is so beautiful. There is much beauty in nature, there is much beauty in people. Sometimes it is not visible to the eye at a glance, sometimes we do not see beyond the warts or the wrinkles. What lies beneath the surface can often be more beautiful to behold. Physiognomy is not the end of the story, it is just the cover.

Lovely video, really connected with how I feel. I've struggled with depression all my adult life, but I find peace in nature, in small marks of beauty, like the grain on wood, all sorts, happens everyday. Thanks

What's up Kim? I like this video because you managed to find such gentile thoughts of a simple leaf arrangement. Gentle hands, that was perfect. It really fit the shot. Now, back to the video!
