    I have a few bps knives in my collection, i may get one of those ,but i do have a condor woodlore i got as a blank and handled myself .thing with bps knives, they're extremely easy to customise, the 1066 carbon does rust fast, so it needs a lot of care .The stainless for me are the go-to for me.less maintenance. Great company, bear in mind its 15 quid delivery from ukraine 🇺🇦. Well worth the money, But you're helping them in their war efforts so worth buying just for that .god bless you and your family, and happy camping 🏕 😀 👍 😊 👏 🙏. Lee

    I bought the BS1FTS Bushcraft Full Tang Knife Leather Sheath, amazing price and a great little knife. I just managed to pay for it before the banks were closed due to the start of the Russian invasion. So pleased to see they are still operating. Good vid, thanks.

    Alan, you won’t be disappointed mate.
    Absolutely Bomb Proof knives these are, I’ve got that one you’re showing and the smaller version, wonderfully manufactured and work fantastic.
    It will last you years.
    Keep Well my friend and I will have that Camp with you in the future, long road ahead as I’ve torn my Medial Collateral Ligament in my knee and waiting possibly on Surgery.

    I think you'll have no problems at all with a ferro rod Allen. I have the HK5 hunters knife from BPS and the spine was almost too sharp lol. But it worked beautifully for me. A solid piece for only $36.00 US, you can't beat that!

    I took a file to all my BPS knives spine to sharpen the 90° angle just a bit. Much better on a fero rod now. I really like the B1 had it over a year now.

    I hope you like it, be interesting to hear your opinion after you've used it for a while. I have a couple of their knives and I'm very pleased with them. Well made at an excellent price, ive had my first one for 4 years now and its as good as the day i bought it, the sheath needed a little alteration (after 2 years) to hold the knife but it had been my go to knife since i got it and had a lot of use. Personally i prefer the stainless steel but that's because I've trusted it for almost 50 years.

    Very nice I love the simple sheath and I take it you can oil the handle to how you like it..?

    • @jim-bob-outdoors
      @jim-bob-outdoors  6 днів тому

      It is pre oiled. They also have different scales for it. That's why they have used a screw type fitting.

    Nice knife, Alan. What steel is the blade made from please? Is it the same grade as the Ray Mears one? All the best.👍🏾🌱

    • @jim-bob-outdoors
      @jim-bob-outdoors  5 днів тому +1

      You have 2 options. The blade is made of 1066 carbon steel, hardened to 57-59 HRC or Stainless Steel (B1 SSH)

    That looks a lovely little knife, I hope it works well for U. Am I the only one immature enough to snigger when people admire a 'dangler' 🤷‍♀️
