- There is no way in hell that any other battle can be worse than Dongrang in MD4R.
When the trees are super buffed and take no damage, the battle is suddenly a massive threat, and you can't managed 8 targets with 6 slots.
As a result, I found it way more viable to try and solo, and even then, his finishing skill is insane and is basically a 50/50 no matter what I do.
He becomes a lot more manageable if you're using bleed or burn, but holy hell does he SUCK to fight with poise (even moreso when you don't get clear water, which I didn't.)

I got him to -45 SP for the big attack almost every time, yet he still just kept on hitting heads
I mean. It seems he is considered as "sanitiless" entity as his rolls hit heads about 50% of gime for me. Meanwhile he in fact has sanity meter so sinking doesnt deal any bonus damage to him. Even siniking deluge seems bugged on him - one time it dealt ~600 damage on him, other >4000 (99 sinking potency in both cases)

Sanity does not affect dongbaek or dongrang due to a bug they chose not to fix

I tried chaining 5 skill 3s and it never got above a neutral roll, which makes sense given how his roll works.
It's still messed up though.

actually what happened to ryos fourth match flame like did you forget to equip it because you wanted to corrode to another ego when doing the toad luxcavation or did you not join during season 1 or smth

I joined two months ago nearing the end of season 3
I only barely finished canto 5 as canto 6 dropped (I still hadn't done Railway yet, for a reference), and I didn't stabilize until... well, now, basically, where I can finally focus on getting stuff
Also for the luxcavation, I'm running three ID burn with Philip, Rodion and captain Ishmael. The toad was understandably hell though, but meh, it's not that big of a deal. I'm just messing around.

Fought the boss with a BL team w/Maid Ryoshu, failed 10 times then just turned in my Weekly. Didn't care I just wanted to be free from this pain and sorrow. 😭
I spent three hours doing this hell with Ryoshu because it was the best way of going about it lmao

@@cycy8699 idk. I just think the dungeon is nice to do, and I want to try out the battles. I specifically went with farmwatch because I hadn't done it before, and it was burn, but I wasn't running my usual bleed because I wanted to maximize Starlight.
@@cycy8699 You get 225 BP XP or 22.5 BP levels if you complete MD4R. If you don't beat the final boss you get 202 XP if I remember correctly but you still get the 750 lunacy.

Yes. I had this discussion with someone else, and I just don't have the resources yet. My only Ryoshu ego that isn't starter EGO is blind obsession, but I also started like 2 or 3 months ago

I sharded fluid sack pretty early, but I started in the end of season three. I'm hard f2p though (well.. can't really say that anymore. I bought the 3 USD pack which gives 1300 paid lunacy, and I'll be using that on the pass next season)

yea dongrang is easier to solo for some reason
More dice and you only need one evade. The assists do insane damage, buff him up, and don't take a lot of damage.
There are also 8 skills to clash with only 6 available, do evading is the natural counter and actually allows you to do stuff against him.
I tried with my actual team and it just didn't work out
I completed Dongrang with underleveled units somehow
