Amazing game and clarifying commentary ! Just 2 caveats: 1. in the upper right corner joseki, the affirmation that the upper side is small might need a bit more explanation, it looks big enough to me (and may be to others), and I would like to correct my bad perception; 2. Wolfs are dangerous, rabbits are in danger when a hungry wolf is nearby.
I will try to explain more next time. ^^ But the hard part is, it is not big enough to pro players. To a 3-4 dan amateur player, I will not say that is a mistake if they choose to develop th upper side ^^
@@BadukDoctor Thanks for the quick answer ! I'm 3d and I would definitely choose the upper side. I was worried my assessment of big/small was too way off.
shin is the god of go, i bet he will reach 3800 elo points. and he even was the first and only person, who got over 3700^^ and that allthought there are only exactly 6 players who are above 3600 and only 24 players, who are over 3500 and only 64 player, who are over 3400. how unbelivable is this guy^^ this is no linear rating system its a logarythmic and its gots harder and harder to get higher ratings, if you are above.
@@BadukDoctor you dont know go. ratings.org? thats a pity! its similar to the elo system but its calculated in another more complex and precise way by using the entire game history of all players back to the 80th. if you know the rating, you can calculate the winning probability. yes i understand but know as i am young players are strong but we know how strong ;-)
I know about the ratinng ^^ When I was young in Korea, Lee Changho was like god at that time. But we never care how many points he had or how many points he was leading. Nowadays, even Korean pro has local ranking (with points). I learnt baduk more than 20 years ago, just I realized how different we are talking about strong players back then and now haha^^
@@BadukDoctor yes but the go player got extrem much better! lee changho never came to 3600, allthought you are right he was the person who was the longest time ever place one and he was the person who had the biggest rating difference to place two. (allthought shin sinseo seems to overtop him in that case in the near future). its fascinating how fast the player got better in the moment, probably thats because of the new engines (i know you in the eastern hemisphäre call that AI^^). do you know when shin sinseo plays his next rated game? here in germany its hard to find any information about the go players in english or german. no person here in germany even know who shin sinseo is^^ nobody here is interested in go (very sad but the western people are only chess players). its funny that i am interested in go, i am a very poor go player, but a very good chess player
The explanations for players' reasoning is so clear that one can understand how pros have keen judgements on the game, thanks a lot.
You are welcome ^^
I just found this channel and I am so happy!
Amazing channel right ?
Thanks for your support ^^
14:50 In English, we call that type of move a "cap", which is a type of hat, I guess.

Shin Jinseo is amazing. Thx !
You are welcome ^^
For many kyu players, allowing White to live in the large Black moyo on the right is hard to grasp. Fascinating game - thanks for the commentary.
You are welcome ^^ It is also hard for dan player as well ^^

I think Baduk adopt this system from chess? I am not so sure. When I was young, strong player are just strong. We don't compare them by points haha ^^
