All the guys in my shop have them and the only thing that I really like about it is the compact size. The video says it's easy to use with gloves but I completely disagree (not that I find taking off my gloves that much of an issue). Also mine measures to a 1/32 of an inch and it drives me crazy. I've never needed to be more precise than 1/16 of an inch. It needs to have the option to change it so it isn't 1/32 precise. My last complaint is that I have a really hard time seeing where the laser is pointed of longer distances (lets say 50 plus feet). I end up having to start with the laser pointed at the ground and then follow it to the point I want to measure. If this was a review out of 5 stars I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. I love the power tool line of Hilti. Hard to beat, but the laser...I'd keep looking unless u just need it to measure smaller square footage. It works great in small areas but the whole 1/32 is just annoying. I find myself having to reduce fractions on my phone in order to find the closest 1/16. Huge waste of my time. Hope this review helps.
Thanks for the additional information. I use smaller mechanics gloves, I should have clarified that. I also use it for carpentry and don't really need it for anything over 50 feet but I would agree that it would be hard to see that far, certainly as I get older. Thanks again for the additional perspective.
Hi i have a question plz How can I fix a broken screen of lazer metre hilti
I would recommend calling Hilti. If it is still under warranty and not damage caused by abuse they may fix it.
How did you change the units??? It's coming only with ft and not in inches and metres
if you press the rhombus (diagonal square) it changes the unit of measurement. If you hold it down it cycles through m and so on.
How do u change the units?
It takes two AAA batteries.
How do you change the display?
Holding the Rhombus (diagonal square) changes the unit of measurement and pressing it cycles through the modes.
