    Great video it was very informative. I like how you mounted the brackets for the front and rear shocks instead of the original way. Definitely want to go with this same Dobinson MRR kit for my 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4. Subscribed 👍

      I wanted to ask how did you get Exit Off-road to set the coilovers to 3” of lift. I saw there is an assembled option, but it doesn’t give you an option to set the lift height after you select it or the spring rate.

    • @Castro1265
      @Castro1265  Рік тому +1

      It should say this, “Select Lift Height *
      Leave a note during checkout if you have a special request for the lift height, and/or if your front end is a lot heavier than normal (aka 300LBS of added weight)”

    You routed the reservoirs for the front wrong. Look at the instructions on the exit off-road website. That's why you didn't like the bracket and didn't like the routing. You were supposed to drill holes and use the hose clamps you didn't use. Actually after watching it again you also have the brackets reversed. Flip their sides. That's why you couldn't tighten the bolt when it was on the truck.
    I'd recommend everyone look at the exit off road site for instructions.

      I appreciate the feedback. I’ve built multiple racecars in the past and I’ve done a lot of suspension work. There are recommendations for installing suspension but things like the reservoir can be installed multiple different ways for ease of access and such. I chose to do mine like I did, and I have had zero issues so far. But again thank you for the feedback!

    Great video! I blew my Dobinsons 220 extended struts out in Moab 2 weeks ago, time to upgrade to MRRs! I noticed you didn't mention extended brake lines in the rear, I'm assuming your previous rear suspension was also long travel and you threw on the 24" lines back then? Just an important thing to mention when throwing LT in the rear of Tacomas, and should probably be done even if just doing extended travel as well.

      @Castro1265  Рік тому

      Great point! Yes, right now I have brake line spacers. I do have 24” lines ordered but they are on backorder from R4T. They should be here in about 1 more week. Thank you for the comment and watching!

    Hey! Mate Jazz here from down under Perth Australia.Great info on install and video much appreciated 🙂 There's so many lift kit suspension brands out there as they all claim to be the best for their brand but I've got a 2018 Mitsubishi Pajero sport exceed and I'm getting it kitted out.I'm also thinking of Dobinson MRA all round as they seem to be extremely good ride and I like the fact you can dial in custom settings.They are made in Eastern States in Australia but expensive here all up with install $4650 Au dollars so my question is it easy enough to install myself as I can get fronts preassembled just be mindful of speed sensor and brake lines I guess so do you fit everything tweed em so the bolts hold then lover on ground and then use a tauque wrench to tighten upper control arm and bottom strutt mount bolts to factory specifications plus I noticed in some videos they put washers for spacers to fill any gaps on bottom strutt bolts area and they use grease on nylon bushers before they insert em to avoid dry friction rub.I would really like to install myself as would be better satisfaction from doing it myself but a bit scary lol.Sorry for long message lol thanks man 👍

    How do you like the upper control arms?? … personally don’t care for that upper ball joint style, they can move when wheeling hard, I like the fixed ball joint style with the caster preset. Jba would be my go to

    Looks good thanks for the video. I'm about to buy the same setup and was wondering how the ride is with the stiffer spring seeing that you don't have your front bumper in this video? Right now I have skids/ sliders but not getting a new steel bumper for several months.

    • @Castro1265
      @Castro1265  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for watching! Honestly, it was not bad at all. I went from Bilstein 5160/6112 to Icon Stage 3 to Dobinson’s. Icon’s are incredibly stiff so I didn’t mind at all. Plus I installed my front BAMF front bumper a couple weeks later. I would recommend getting the heavier spring rate if you plan on doing a bumper in the future as well.

    Hey man, I installed the same on my truck and so far they've been great. Have you been playing around with the settings more? In this video you said you were at 5 and 5 all the way around and didn't mess with the rebound. Have you changed any of that yet? I have adjusted mine a few times on-road and off-road but still trying to figure out what I like best. I also noticed that you covered the rebound screw in the rears. When I installed the rubber boot I zip-tied it just above the screw so I could still have access.

      Awesome! I’ve been running my high and low compression setting at 1(lowest) I absolutely love it! When I air down offroad it’s to 16-18psi and my truck drives like a cloud offroad. I’ve never touched the rebound to be honest. I didn’t cover the screw completely I can still turn it if I needed. Thank you for watching the video!

    I have nearly the exact same setup Dobinson MRA with the Heaviest 700lb springs, the rear MRA's and Dobinsons 111R rear leafs. I have had them on for about 3 years through maine's harsh winters. I got them during the beginning of the pandemic. just wondering what your height is set at? from reading the guide included with the shocks I set mine at 8.25" from the center of the lower bolt to the spring seat as the instructions said.. but i am noticing a noise in my front end when hitting any pothole and only on the drivers side.... I do have CBI steel skids, mobtown HD sliders, and a SSO slimline hybrind with stage II, and a smitybilt !0k COMP winch.. had my mechanic check the suspension, and everything was tight.. he had no idea where the noise is coming from... its driving me nuts...
