It makes it even funnier that this film got very good reviews and did really well commercially. Jesus Christ man enjoy the success, don't be worrying about what Limmy thinks, Limmy hates most films.
yeah, and even worse limmy didn't @mention or tag anything, which means this guy only saw the comment because he was actively searching the name of his film on twitter
@@kernel-pult you mightn't know but Limmy is a recovering alcho who hasn't had a drink in many years hahahha, so thats what makes the tweet and comment funny.
I tweeted about this, saying something like "the guy who reminded you of this did you no favours" and the guy who reminded the director quote tweeted me with three 😈 emojis. He's a Limmy and Leigh Whannel fan, and wanted to get a spat going again for a laugh.
It's so pathethic because in the original conversation he seemed to be taking it well and it was a perfectly cordial and civil exchange, and then suddenly 2 years later his ego swells up and he tries to rewrite the story and be all like "Oh yeah I put that guy back in his place, he was all scared when I showed up." What a sad, weak little man.
100% agree. The end of the film ruined the rest of it. It was like they introduced a new protagonist with a deadly set of skills who had no fear or struggle. It was in complete contrast to the rest of the otherwise brilliant tension of the film. Can't believe the writer took this (genuine) criticism so fickle.
Limmy is a comedian. It’s his job to take the piss out of whatever he pleases. If Leigh didn’t like it, that’s fine but for him to act like it was a personal attack on his film was juvenile and made him seem insecure.
We all know it was Limmy who reminded him about that tweet from his burner account. YOU LOOSE! To be fair, I know exactly the scene hes talking about where she doesn't pick up the gun. Wound me right up at the time too.
I watched the movie after seeing your review and was actually blown away - really decent film. I agree though there were a couple of scenes that felt out of character or odd. But I really liked the angle he took on it. The end 20 minutes pissed me off just seemed to keep going. I remember thinking it would have been a perfect film if it had ended in the asylum where he whispered "surprise" - but I get that (particularly due to the subject matter) the masses and the producers needed to see her "win".
When I saw the ad for that movie with a lady flailing around at nothing in the room, the visual was so silly that I knew I couldn’t watch the movie and take it seriously.
a can't even handle people arguing with any youtube comments a make so a turn on notifs 😭😭nevermind going out ur way to search for criticism of something u spent pure ages on and really care about hahaha xx
Kinda how I would expect the writer/director of the 32 Saw films to be. Desperately searching his film titles on Twitter, trying to protect their _distinguished artistic legacy._
Any high profile person / professional who gets upset about a random comment they receive on social media - needs to watch this video first before they react.
Yeah for sure, but I think putting your ego aside is something that you need to learn to do as an adult. It's not the easiest thing, but it's better for everybody in the long run.
Upset he's never been able to recollect the same quality as SAW had (still some minor plot holes but a great movie) Invisible Man was so average. Only thing that kept me interested was the fact it was filmed on location in my home town. Was shite and unbelievable towards the end otherwise.
failed to mention it took him TWO YEARS to reply to the critique xD mate if it takes someone two years to think of a comeback then he shouldn't be writing movies

Remember how the blonde guy in saw wasn't given a chance to win even though Jigsaw is all about teaching a lesson. He put his leg cuff key on his unconscious body and when he woke up in the bath, it immediately went down the drain without him even knowing. What lesson did that teach him? Don't bathe with keys? Why couldn't he use the hacksaw to reach the phone? He doesn't even try. It's only just out of his reach. Shit writer.

the directors obsessiveness couldn't come to clash with a more overthinking obsessive man as Limmy
I love how Limmy's brain works.
“Smegma? Fuck knows” is hilarious out of context
That's a common problem with recent films, every fight has to be like the Bourne Ultimatum, even if the protagonist is a retired chemistry teacher.
Limmy left him still reeling after 2 years 😆
The beauty of this is that this American bloke is gonna be sat watching Jaqueline as we speak.

I fully believe that the director just searched his name on Twitter, legitimately looking to argue.
Tell him that Richard Laymon called and wants the idea for SAW back.
